How immensely cute and optimistic can one series get? Madoka and her family are the picture of perfectly good and happy people. That 'Kyubey' thing is adorable. The plot's tale of magical girls is so uplifting <3 Aw, and the friendship between Madoka and Mami is just heartwarmi--
At 1-o-clock to-morrow, I shall be leaving for an expedition into the dark and unexplored bowels of the wasteland widely referred to as 'Maine'. Assuming I survive this venture into hitherto-uncharted wilderness brimming with hostile flora and fauna, I shall return the following Monday with spoils in the form of untold knowledge.
I am afraid I may well be without the comforts of BZPower in this dreary place. Should I be able to find it, it would be best to keep in mind that I might not be able to use it for very long at all.
Disclaimer: Not trying to insult Maine. Don't take the description seriously.
Unlike my last two entries, this is not a joke. A decently serious review follows.
TDKR was a fantastic watch. The visuals were great, and the music was some of Zimmer's best. Pretty much everyone acted well. The plot didn't disappoint, either.
I do have a few minor issues, though.
All in all, stunning. Wish to watch the entirety of the trilogy now.
Member TX Wade has posted his idea to create a toa team with members based on the Seven Heavenly Virtues that counters the Daedra. This is the entry in which to discuss said idea; therefore, I will update this one as pertinent to keep up with discussion.
First Day of Discussion:
It has been largely agreed upon that this team of Virtues should be more than just foils to the Daedra.
TX Wade stated that this group will have a twist of some sort. To quote Parugi of Congratulations: '...A reason for being'.
Members Hubert and Parugi have stated one or two of their characters may join. Parugi also put forth the idea that perhaps the virtuous toa team could be more out to protect the island in general as opposed to merely combatting the Daedra.
Member Benluke-116 proposed: TX has vocalized his support for the general idea of the first paragraph, but also expressed he feels that this team's members should not strive for heroism. He believes they should instead try to become 'guardians'.
Second Day of Discussion:
TX Wade and Parugi expressed their dislike for the second of Benluke's proposals. They believe that skakdi and vortixx have certain evil or more neutral stigmas and do not fit in a 'toa team'.
Toa Onarax and Zoma stated that they would like Humility and Patience, respectively. Meanwhile, Parugi specified that the character he has who may join the group could serve as either Temperance or Diligence.
TX stated that he will take whichever virtue is left. He added that he is currently leaning towards Charity and Kindness.
This is an entry to discuss the Aensetr Derrum season of the BZPRPG. If I deem there to be enough support for expanding this entry to include all pre-NBZP seasons of the BZPRPG, I will do so.
This is an entry in which one may discuss past seasons of the BZPRPG (excluding the nbzp).
Simple: To duel other members in rap battles about your characters (and occasionally yourself) in the BZPRPG's current incarnation. Anyone can join who wishes to as per blog rules, but note that one will probably be outfoxed easily if one does not play the game.
Remember to keep this stuff appropriate for BZP, guys (only saying this cuz of rap's bad rep). Continue your rapping here.
You guys may have noticed my last status update was about computer troubles. Well, I regret to inform you:
They haven't gotten better.
Only one of my family's computers is working right now. Admittedly, it has chatting capabilties...But with everyone demanding their fair share of its use, I'm getting a bit less time than I used to on the 'net.
To further detract from my time, I've become more involved in extracurricular activities (ranking no. 3 in chess club & playing the frg in a mun). I now research UN policy and its countries a lot, and play around six chess games every day; most of this is online.
Finally, I've taken up 10 characters in 4 RPGs.
What does all this add up to?
One very rethinking-personal-RPG-policy Armadijo.
More specifically, it means I'm gonna be allocating less time to each of my chars as I try to 'juggle' all of them by posting for each on separate days. I'm not giving up any. But I'm not going to have time to respond to everything right away like I used to.
I'll provide further updates on the sitch as needed. We may get a new comp at some point soon, but for now, assume me to have much more limited RPing time than I once possessed.
Lohkar led the crew towards a crack in the cliffside, well hidden by vines and bushes. They passed through a short tunnel of sorts, before emerging in a sheltered cove.
"'Ere we are, Rogues' Cove," he said. "An' that, is the Infernavika." A ship was anchored in the middle of the cove. It was of the galleon class, made from reddish wood, with three masts which bore many yellow-white sails. the figurehead was shaped like a bird, with wings outstretched. the word "Infernavika" was written on the left side of the prow in circular Matoran letters, and on the right in triangular Lesterin.
The ship had three decks, the aft one bearing the wheel, and the fore one mounted with a disk-launcher, of the type used by the Gukko Force.
Without further ado, Lohkar strode up the gangplank and jumped onto the deck.
"Ah," he sighed. "It's good t'be back on me ship."

Specifically, I've been thinking about the state of the RPG Forum.
Many times over the ages (and yes, I know what I'm talking about, I lurked for a good few years before joining BZP), people new to roleplaying have attempted to join the Bionicle RPG Forum. Nearly as often, they have been immediately recognized for their newbish ways and scorned.
I'm not going to blame anyone here; I feel like all RPers have perhaps done it at some point. Y'know. You come on, you see a terrible IC including metagaming, maybe, an OOC where the person you're thinking of as a newb refers to their character as 'I' or 'myself', or maybe even an all-OOC discussion in an RPing topic. And you maybe type something a tad inflammatory into an OOC and attach it to an IC wherein your char scorns theirs, explaining (or rather, pounding into said newb's head) what they're doing wrong. So eventually, tired and unhappy, they go, and you get back to RPing, happy that they've gone.
However...
Almost all great RPers, or ones whom people claim to be at least halfway decent, were newbs at one point.
I know I was. I clearly didn't know what I was doing. Looking at my old BZPRPG ICs, I'm astounded I got that far.
However, I think I know now how my RPing eventually matured and grew up. It was mainly due to one thing:
People accepting me.
If, say, Vezok's Friend's dude hadn't actually interacted with one of my chars in the old BZPRPG's final season, then I probably wouldn't have even read his ICs and been able to learn from them. Newbs aren't born, they're made to continue being newbs by people who are tired of their ignorance and vent at them. VF and others were a lot more patient with me than I ever realized. And because of that, I grew to become a far better RPer who loved playing.
Therefore, I feel it is in the duty of us TBRPers of the BRPG forum to educate newbs and accept them into the community with interactions, constructive criticism, and examples of good RPing. How? Through a little group:
The CRANE (Coalition of Roleplayers Against Newbishness, for Education)
The CRANE has no leader; it doesn't need one. Being a coalition, all you need to do to be in it is pledge to accept newbs into the RPing community by educating them on how the forum actually works, interacting with their characters and providing examples of good RPing, explaining what the rules are & mean, and giving them a chance in the first place.
I cannot stress that last one enough. Even if you really want to help out, you're not going to get anywhere if you have pre-concieved notions of every newb as the average dolt come to ruin your forums' beauty. Realize that there are actually real, living people just trying to make their way around in the world just like you, with goals, a physical being, and personalities. They aren't really that different from everyone else.
They're real. They're here. And they're not going to get any better unless we help them. As some guy said, and I paraphrase: "Is it not true that when I make friends of my enemies, I destroy them?"

I will soon have a cont. block up in my blog for the coalition, fear not. Please join CRANE, guys-I honestly feel like even if we can only get 10% of RPing newbs to become halfway decent RPers, then there will be noticeable effects on the forum.
The Seneca have their chat RP herpaderps. But the MNIers have some as well.
For reference: I am 'The Shadowed'. Razgriz the Dovahkiin is 'Drake'. All other names are easily recognizable. And this incident ocurred when Legolover-361 'n' I were trying to save Flygon: Desert Spirit from the Chatbox Monster.
This piece of conversation speaks for itself about our group dynamic. =3
And yes, it is a joke. None of this was meant seriously.
