  1. How does it fly with holes in its wings?

I came up with a whole scenario about it having some power, but I've forgotten it. I wouldn't be surprised if it was something like Senrab said :P

Maybe it ate a Miru? :P

I like the MoC, and like people have already said, it's very impressive that you managed to use the Gadunka headpiece for something. The gear eyes seem a little weird to me, but overall the MoC is pretty nice. Good luck in the contest!

    Probably :P

Thanks! Guess everyone seems to think that's impressive :P The gear eyes are a little weird. :P Thanks, good luck to you too!

  2. When you claim a coupon, does the site post an update on your timeline or do anything of the sort? I'd like to keep the timeline empty if possible as I only want to use Facebook to chat with a few people.-Gata signoff.png

No, it asks you if you want to though. Just say no and it won't. After you can always remove the app too. (since it does some coupon app)

  3. The head is nice. Neat armoring. But the rest of it, sorry to say, looks really... unfinished.

That's because it was a rush build. I didn't work that hard on the rest. Most effort went into what you mentioned.

(Bugs are sometimes heavily armored; Kata is not.)

This took around an hour, but my favorite part is the head. :P

As for the skeleton structure, he's a bug. Should be self-explanatory.

(Note: Back legs are for jumping, that's why they are bigger.)

  5. He looks a little simple, but not the paint job. The paint job was well done. The mask looks really nice and I like how you managed to put five fingers on one hand, instead of four.

Yeah, I wanted to keep him simple, as I knew I was going to paint him. Thank you, glad you think so! Actually, I put six fingers on one hand. :P

  6. Is that a THROWBOT arm?

I remember collecting those.... but then Bionicle came along and EVERYTHING CHANGED. :)

    Good Job Nealybealy,

I always had trouble with making modies too... it seemed for me to get anything to look right I had to use a toa-body or something.

    Yup, it is!

I was able to pick up a few Throwbot sets via yard sales and relatives. :D

    Thank you!

Ah, glad I'm not the only one... Yeah, it's the same for me there too.

  7. Nice! Maybe you could give it a mouth or something?

It reminds me of B.E.N. from Disney's Treasure Planet :P

Thanks! Now that would be interesting... But I'd have to add a caption saying nom nom nom if I did add a mouth.. Heh :P

Go figure, now I see that. Never realized the similarities! :P

  8. I almost read the title as Meticulous, but alas, that's not the name. :P

My favorite part right off the bat is the upper legs. Good job there!

Just in my opinion, the chest looks a little empty. You should try and add some more stuff there, maybe a bit more armoring.

The lower legs, maybe consider revising the feet or adding something to the legs in general? Just a little uneven with the amount of detail in the MOC. Jumps from really detailed upper legs to empty chest, etc.. A smooth transition would look better.

Last but not least, the arms. Maybe consider making the upper arms more of something like the upper legs?

Overall, he looks pretty good, especially considering it's your 3rd MOC here. Like I said, good job!

If only I took a lot of time for detail...

I hated the fact that the back of the legs/arms are always so empty! So I added some filler (not shown).

Some advice there, don't rush the MOCs! Take as much time until it looks satisfactory to you.

Good there's more on the back!

  10. huh. this is one crazy color scheme that I actually kinda like. I would recommend using a standard 2.0-torso skeleton and go from there though. the big gaps in the chest don't look very well put together.

Thanks! Glad to hear it was crazy in terms of color, exactly what I was aiming for! Also glad you like it! I've taken your suggestion, take a look at the picture I've changed the topic to have!

Nice MOC. I actually like the color scheme, and the head made me laugh (that was a compliment, just saying). The feet look a bit awkward, though, because they look pretty small, but if you did that just for the colors then ignore what I said.

Thank you! Haha, glad you thought that about the head (I would take that as a compliment anytime, getting people to laugh is pretty awesome!). Yeah, they do, but I did it for the color.

I like the way you built the torso :D

    And the head!

Thank you! Glad you think that! I've changed the torso though. :P

also, he reminds me of Mr. Timn...with an N!(if you know who Julian Smith is, you'll get this)

No idea about this reference... Hmm.. :P

  11. I honestly have no idea why I named him Mr. Teal, but here he is, the product of weird color-scheme ideas.. :P

    8519634142_4cba702ee7.jpg

The head comes off in case of emergency. :P I gave him one throwbot arm, for disc purposes, and one claw/Flood-styled tentacle arm, for the purpose of melee fights. I'm sorry about the chest, I'm absolutely horrendous at building bodies.. Well, I've changed his body up! Now using a template 2.0 body.

    Comments and feedback appreciated!

  12. I'm no expert on this sort of construction as most of my LEGO MOCs are system-based, but this looks pretty cool - good use of Rahkshi heads there. :D

Haha, thank you! :D Glad you think that!

Cool MOC. I like the torso and the legs, and the weapon is pretty cool as well. Good luck after the voting.

Thank you! Glad you said that; those were my favorite parts too! I was worried about the weapon not going well, but I think a polearm/axe isn't a terribly bad idea for a bear. Thank you again!

  13. Hi, after consulting Gatanui, I've decided to make a topic asking about this. :P

I've got a few Gahlok, and their head pieces don't seem to match. The printing differs on mine.

1st pic: The Gahlok (more not in the pic)

2nd pic: The two head pieces side by side, showing the different printing. (Sorry for the quality of pic! I can take a better one if needed!)

I was wondering, are these both completely normal? Sorry if the question sounds dumb, I couldn't find much in terms of them.

  14. Pretty neat! I quite like the upper arms and legs. The main problem here for me is that he seems a lot like, well, just a Stringer revamp. :LOL:Perhaps more photos would be helpful, considering you've only shown him from one angle. ;)Anyway, good luck.
Thanks! The upper arms were especially tricky to put together, as the connection is quite unstable. Glad you think so about the legs; I was worried about those. Haha, I see how you could think that. I wasn't at all intending to do something like that. Plus, if it were a revamp of him, yellow would've been a key color in it. This would be a bad revamp. :P I added a side view and a back view into the set of pics too. I wish you the best of luck too!
