  1. IC:Miha ~Gukko Force HQ~

"Alright Captain! Bye-bye!" The Le-Matoran left the room, and almost immediately ran into Zealokan. "No thanks, not really a fan. Anyways, I got some info on Echelon and I'm planning on finding Havon and taking the fight to Makuta's lieutenants. You interested?" Now that she was dealing with somebody of equal standing(figuratively speaking of course), she was in no mood to beat around the bush. There was nothing else to it, and no need to give anymore details. Either Zealokan was in, or he was out.

  2. IC:Miha ~Gukko Force HQ~

Miha bowed in gratitude. "Thank you Captain Kongu. I understand your views, and even though I do not agree with you, I will endeavor to make sure that my actions will not be viewed by Makuta as anything but a selfish revenge plot, so as to keep Le-Koro from taking the blame for my actions."

"Anyways, I won't take any more of your time Captain," Miha began to leave, but before she completely got out of her chair, she voiced one final question to Captain Kongu. "...but before I leave I'd just like to know if there is anything I can do for you in return for your time?" She would've felt bad if she hadn't offered to at least recompense Kongu after all the help he had been to her.

  3. IC:Miha ~Gukko Force HQ~

"With all due respect Captain, I have been training against Toa of Magnetism all my life. I know the ins and outs of their element better than the average Toa of Magnetism. I have fought against Echelon before, and know the basics his fighting style. In fact, the only reason I'm here is because Merror said that he would tell me more about Echelon's fighting style so I could better prepare myself."

"And to be honest Captain Kongu, I'm a bit tired of the Koros playing defense, only taking action when Makuta attempts to make a goal. The only way that we're going to have even the smallest chance to defeat him is if we take the initiative and strike first, 'cause we're never going to beat him with halfhearted reactions."

  4. IC:Ankt ~Following Aurum~

"Toa of Light, eh? Well that explains the flashy thing I saw erupt around here. What about that Toa of Ice back there, the one who crash landed in the trees? What's up with him?" Normally Ankt would've ran off at the mention of such fictitiously strong beings, eager to find this Toa and see how strong he actually was. But this time he had this strange feeling that he should leave the Toa of Light alone for the moment.

Aurum rolled out of a particularly savage Rahi's path, leaving Ankt to grapple with the beast that Aurum had avoided. The fight was over in a second, the Rahi's focus had been on Aurum, so it didn't see Ankt's Pakari strengthened fist flying towards it's jaw. Avoiding the rahi's unconscious body, Ankt continued following Auron, hoping to gain a bit more info about the combatants before he entered the fray.

  5. OOC:Ankt from Le-Wahi

    IC:Ankt

"This Toa of Ice is...on our side. I believe his name is Utu Kotore. I'm sure you have the knowledge to do your duty; I will do mine." Aurum had shouted to Akuz as he launched himself towards the fight hoping he could topple Agni's defenses. However, before he could get close enough to begin doing damage, he noticed a familiar Toa of Oil following behind him.

"Oi! You in the Silver armor! Mind telling a fellow brother what the Karz is going on?" Ankt, who had noticed the light explosion from Joske's earlier escapades, had arrived on the scene.

  6. IC:Miha ~Gukko Force HQ~

Seriously Merror? Was the entire visit an elaborate attempt to have Kongu change my mind? I think you're forgetting that I once had to live off my own determination, I'm not some run-of-the-mill wishy washy Matoran. I can be very stubborn if I want to be.

"Merror, if you're attempting to convince Captain Kongu to change my mind, I can tell you now that it's not gonna happen, especially now that I know Echelon's location and the fact that he has Skyra's body. So can we stop wasting the captain's time? He's got a lot to do without having to deal with an overprotective Toa of Fire's concerns about some Le-Matoran he barely knows."

  7. IC:Kai ~Ko-Koro Morgue-ish Place~

"Well, anything drastic and/or strange and unusual happening would be a great place to start." Kai glanced around, keeping an eye out for any wandering guard members. "Also, can't you like, burn the place down or something? That would keep the Guard from noticing one less body..."

  8. @Lord of Adders Black

A bit of world building would be nice. Whats this world like outside the Proelium? Massively technologically advanced? More floating islands? Actual landmasses? Any kingdoms, empires, governments?

The outside world is something we hadn't thought about since the RPG takes place on the Proelium, but yeah I guess we should give information about the outside world for back-stories and stuff like that.

Is there anything for characters to do other than get into arena matches and fight each other? Is there some greater overarching plot to get involved in?

Other than running shops? As of now no, although we are working on a greater overarching plot for everybody to get involved in.

What are the rules of these fights? Just punch ups or are they gladiatorial?

The rules are simple. First, no killing. Second, kicking, punching, and using a weapon are allowed. Third, a fight ends when one side either gives up, or is unable to fight. And finally, no really tough armor allowed. Some of these rules would change from match to match (so the matches don't get boring for the watching crowd), but those are the basic rules.

You say we can't have lethal weapons but is there anything stopping me using some sort of exo-suit to turn me into a human tank?

Well first off, the people who approve your profile would stop you from using that. And second, if your character could obtain an exo-suit in-game, then he would not be able to use it in the Overworld tournaments as it would make the fights your character are in too one-sided and not fun to watch.

The profiles seem heavily skewed towards contestants, despite claiming to be open to merchants and guards. You can't have any lethal weapons you might expect from a guard, and the tuff about attributes doesn't really apply to civilians.

I will talk to Terminus about this(as he's the one who was working on the attributes) and get back to you on this one.

Speaking of attributes, how do those work? I pick one for my character and gets its advantages and disadvantages?

I suppose I was a bit unclear about this. The way it works is that you pick two attributes, and you gain the advantages from one, and the disadvantages from the other. So for example, you want your character to be agile. So you give him the agile attribute. But now you have to give him one of the disadvantages from another attribute, so you pick upper-body strength. So now your character is really fast, but has less than normal upper-body strength.

    @Kanye West

i wouldn't necessarily worry about the outside world like adders just mentioned- like, if proleium is big enough to have like living quarters and districts and stuff it's probably good enough.

While we are going to add information about the outside world to the RPG, all of the RPing will take place inside/on the Proelium, mainly because (as you stated) the Proelium is pretty darn huge.

i think the attributes work like you can boost one stat, but then you have to decrease another. like i can have stronger punches and weaker kicks. but that's just my assumption, if i'm right you should probably clarify that.

    Yeah, that's how it works.

  9. The Proelium Plot: The Proelium. A giant, mechanical flying island, which also happens to house a grand arena for fighting tournaments. Everything on the Proelium centers around the arena and the combatants inside. Every year, the island's Mayor holds a tournament in the arena to find the best fighter in the world- one worthy of being called a true champion. Many fighters gather from throughout the world to fight for the title- and two types stand out from the rest. One kind of fighter is the ideal champion- one of those who works tirelessly to win, and always follows the rules of combat. The other kind of fighter is the one who is just in it for the title- and they don't care how they get it. As the fighters clash in the arena, they will all have to struggle to get on top- so how far will you go? Rules of the Ring:

    • [*]Follow the BZP Rules - This one's a no-brainer, but following the BZP Rules will ensure everyone has a good time while playing the RPG[*]Get your profile approved before playing - Post your profile Out Of Character in your first post, and wait for it to be approved by the RPG hosts before you start playing.[*]Keep it realistic - Yes, your character may be faster than normal people, but that doesn't mean they can just jump from one side of the city to the other. This also means that you can't instantly defeat your opponent in one blow, and your character won't know everything that you know.[*]No Killing off other characters - The exceptions to this rule are if another player allows it in an OOC post, or if it is your character. This rule also covers seriously injuring other characters.[*]Settle your fights - Undoubtedly, there will be a fair amount of fights between players in the arena. However, these fights can't last forever, so know when you've been beaten. Remember to be fair and reasonable, or a Referee might come in and end the fight.[*]Label your posts - Label your posts either In Character (IC) or Out Of Character (OOC), and be sure to mention which character you are using. This makes it easier to tell if your character is doing something or if you're discussing something with another player.[*]Have Fun - The success of this RPG depends on everyone enjoying it, so enjoy yourself!

Locations:The Proelium: Overworld The Fighting Arena - This is where combatants go to participate in their official matches. A large round building in the middle of the town square, the Proelium Fighting Arena is the main attraction of the Proelium. This is also where the Mayor resides. You can contact him through his secretary, who has her own desk in the lobby. The Proelium Fighting Arena also houses the regular combatant’s locker rooms and their special training arena, although this part of the Arena is sealed off to normal civilians and new challengers. The Town Square - The town Square is where shopkeepers tend to set up shop, as it is the most frequented area on the Proelium. With direct access to many great attractions such as the Proelium Fighting Arena, and the Proelium Gym the Town Square is the place to be if you own a shop of your own. The Proelium Gym - The Gym is where the rookie challengers train. Frequently visited by both trainers and Arena Challengers, this is also a great place to set up shop if the Town Square is too mainstream for you. The Living District - The living district is where most of the Proelium’s inhabitants reside. In fact, only the Mayor and regular combatants are legally allowed to live anywhere else. The Living District is a huge place, filled to the brim with skyscrapers. Libraries, and other places of knowledge are located in this district. The Proelium: Underworld The Underworld Arena - The Underworld Arena is a gigantic arena deep underneath the Proelium’s Surface with chains dangling precariously from the roof, and hundreds of lights pointed at the fighting ring. Spectators may watch the ongoing battles from the bleachers just outside the fighting ring. There are metal fences that surround the circular fighting arena, separating the spectators from the combatants. The only way to reach the Underworld Arena is to go through one of the many doors in the Town Center Station of the Dark Line Subway. The Underworld Living District - The Underworld Living District is nothing more than an abandoned passageway with some nooks and crannies carved into the wall for people to sleep in. There is a few small prototype Living District buildings that apparently didn’t make it all the way to the surface during the Proelium’s creation, but those are reserved for those who live in the Underworld and not for those who only go down there to watch the matches. The Underworld Living District is only accessible through one of the many doors in the Living District station. The Dark Line Subway - The Dark Line Subway is one of the few actually legal locations in the Proelium Underworld and provides quick transport from the Living Districts to the Town Square. There are two stations, the Living District station, and the Town Center station, and both are identical. Other than the subway trains, the only other things of note are the many doors. One of the doors in the Living District Station leads to the Underworld Living District, and the same door in the Town Center Station leads to the Underworld Arena. The rest of the doors lead to the maintenance Tunnels, and thus are off limits to civilians. Proelium Maintenance Tunnels - The Proelium Maintenance Tunnels are off limits. Nobody is allowed but certified personnel, to keep dangerous people from messing with the mechanics that keep the Proelium afloat. There are many tunnels, each separate tunnel connected to a different door in both the Living District Station and the Town Center Station. The Maintenance Tunnels are closely guarded by many guards, and are almost impossible to penetrate. Anyone that even attempts to break into the tunnels is immediately branded a terrorist, and hunted down by both the Overworld inhabitants and the Underworld inhabitants. And that is me and Terminus24's idea for a new COTRPG. Any suggestions/ideas?

  10. IC:Miha ~Kongu's Office~

"And what exactly is it that makes him strong Merror? His enormous constitution? His vast strength? From what I've seen, he has neither. He relies on his brain, his element, and his undead minions, all of which I can counter if given enough time to prepare."

"And let's just say that you manage to convince me not to fight Echelon. Who would fight him in my stead? You? Members of the Le-Koro Gukko Force that have friends and family waiting for them? If one of them went and died, I'd have to live with the same guilt if you would if I had gone and died."

She glared at Merror. "And in case you've forgotten, I am a competent warrior Merror. It's not like your talking to someone who hasn't been in life threatening situations before."

  11. IC:Miha ~Kongu's Office~

"I want to know everything I can about him. Strengths, weaknesses, fighting styles, everything." Miha responded, looking Merror in the eye.

"I plan on hunting him down, then giving him a beat-down and taking him back here to be jailed for life."

  12. IC:Kai ~Corpse Burning Room~

"Wait, won't they realize that there's a body missing that you didn't burn?" Kai asked as he staggered to his feet, swaying a bit as his body fought off the drug. He unsteadily put on his armor, and grabbed his weapons. "Or, are we assuming that they are assuming that you simply burned two criminals?"

  13. IC:Miha ~Talking to Merror~

"Anyways," the Matoran continued, knowing that Zealokan would be able to show Merror where Zygad's house was if Merror wanted to sleep there like she had suggested, "I was wondering if you could tell me everything you know about Echelon. It's very important."

  14. IC:Miha ~Outside Kongu's Office~

Miha had spent a while looking for Merror, before she spotted him outside Kongu's war-hut. "Merror!" The small Le-Matoran called, running over to him. "I've been looking for you everywhere!"

  15. IC:Miha ~Zygad's House~

The two quickly reached the possibly deceased Toa of Plantlife's house, and managed to find themselves two non-trashed rooms to sleep in. And, assuming that Clockwork Kineticist has no problem with this minor bunny, they promptly went to sleep.

  16. IC:Miha

"My parents are dead, the person who took me in and cared for me after my parents death hasn't been seen for two months now, my three siblings have all also disappeared off the face of the planet, and so has Zygad, who I also consider family. None of them are coming back. Their all either dead, or as good as dead. Matau, a man who was the closest thing I had to a father before Virthee and after my parents death, is now dead. My friends Hafu and Tamaru are also both dead. I started becoming friends with Pearl, a little Ko-Matoran I met in Ga-Koro. She also died. And apparently Mimira, the person who was my best-est best friend on this entire island, is a part of Lohkar's Pirate crew. The man who ransacked the ship I took to get to this island, allowing Raknar's Pirates to take control of the ship, which in turn meant I was injured and abused by said Skakdi Pirates. Now you look me in the face and tell me that after all that I can continue happily living my life after this is all over."

  17. IC:Miha ~One Street Away from Zygad's House~

"We don't all deserve happy endings Zealokan." Miha said, stopping and looking the Toa of Momentum in the eye. "Havon, no-matter how nice a guy he is, is so addicted to alchol, that someday he's going to get so drunk that he does things that he'll regret for the rest of his life. And I'm not sure if you remember, but I am the one who is not allowed in Ga-Koro anymore. Out of all the Mark Bearers, I was the only one to get banned from a Koro for a reason other than 'you have a mark,' and I've put both teammates and family in danger due to stubborn foolishness. I can't say anything about Dekuna, but from what I understand, he was a much less moral man before he joined the Hau Karda. Happy endings are a rare thing, and you are the only person in the Hau Karda(other than your girlfriend) who actually deserves(to my knowledge) a happy ending." She began walking again, returning to her above normal pace. "Anyways, there's no possible way that I can live a happy life after what's happened."

  18. IC:Miha ~Nearing Zygad's Hut~

"Just invite me and Havon to the wedding. Havon would be so upset if he missed it." She glanced around, before turning left. "This way. Anyways, I do actually, sincerely hope that you and Payiges end up on your beach-side hut. At least one member of the Hau Karda deserves a happy ending."

  19. IC:Miha ~Close to Zygad's House(?)~

"Well, I would assume that we should do exactly what we formed the Hau Karda to do." She paused. "Well... Technically we formed the team to find Payiges, but that's not what I meant." She paused, realizing how rude and uncaring that sounded. "Er... Unless you're worried about her. I didn't mean that we shouldn't look for her. I was just saying that, since you said we should just wait for her to show up, we should spend our energy hunting down bad guys and taking them out, but then it came out all wrong and..."

  20. OOC:Yeah, I guess he just didn't think that poor Miha had been through enough traumatic things in the last three months of her life...

    IC:Miha ~Heading to Zygad's House~

"Yes. He was the one that killed Hafu. And Tamaru. And possibly the rest of the group. He was also the one who is responsible for giving me the Mark of Determination. I'm sure he's responsible for most of the other traumatic things that's happened in my life, but I have no proof." The Matoran frowned, as she began slowing down against her will. "And would you stop that?"

  21. OOC:So, when exactly do you think they should find out about Havon CK?

    IC:Miha ~Heading to Zygad's House~

"Yeah, and I've been meaning to talk to Merror ever since the... You know." Miha kept ahead of Zealokan as they walked, an impressive feat as he was about twice as tall as her. "I wanna know everything he can tell me about Echelon. Strengths, weaknesses, his last known location..."
