The term bull applies to a lot of animals, just as some generic male animal type dealy, so I went with that.Also@ garnira that was what I was going for :3Wait, if it's called Nui Bull, why is it based off an ox?
-
Hah! This is awesome. Not only does it look extremely neat but it has some functionality going on there. Very impressive. Also the colour is good, did you get those shiny plate pieces from the old technic 4x4?
-
7/10? waaat9/10 would be the harshest I could bear to give. This model is amazing! The thickness of the thighs, and the chest! Very very well done. The hips look a bit bleak but that's being picky, also the colours look vibrant and very appealing.I wunt one >:{
-
Very nice! Colour scheme's flawlessly consistent, and I like the mask being used like a visor. Only thing I don't like is that the torso looks a bit short, and the legs long in comparison.
-
As has been said many times already, it's Jaller's twin! I think the best thing you could do is get rid of the cookie-cut torso and build your own, that will instantly improve the model 10x. I'd also not use the mask/head combo but that's just a personal opinion.

The camera I used is excellent, the entire problem is the cloud cover and the fact the model is backlit. There's literally nowhere else in my room where I can take photos so that's just a bit unfortunate.About the cut pieces, yes I know it's sort of cheating but I'm sure I've seen lego to the same thing in some of their sets. It's only the plastic tubes I cut.I didn't thick the legs up too much because I wanted its coat to look shaggy, but I see what you mean. The model stands up without a problem though.
-
I was basing it off an Ox (rather than a bull)The legs don't seem very proportionate to the rest of the body.

Once again sorry for the dull pictures, it literally doesn't get any brighter where I live.So here it is, a Bull, there were lots of interesting problems I came up against when I built this which I'm sure 1% of you will read and enjoy. I made the model to go with some matoran that I've never built. First issue was the head. I actually think this turned out how I liked, I used that viking wolf head for the lower jaw and some other armour piece as the skull. There's a little hole that resembles the nose hole in real skulls so that was pretty fortunate. The jaw is hinged, I cheated here because I cut my own piece to allow for this. Here is from the back. The bum is a bit blocky, I would've used some rounded L pieces instead of the standard L pieces but I only had one of them :C. The back is hinged also. You can raise the back so that the animal doesn't look hunched over any more. I did this with a friction pin that is tucked away under the bull's body. It works pretty well. Bwaar! Time to come clean, I cheated with the back legs too. Those hinge with some pieces that I cut myself. It does allow for very good articulation though. Here's the underside. I didn't make udders. As you can see the friction pin is concealed respectfully. 'Ere is the back again. 'Cept the lighting condition is worse. This is matoran-eye view. Nothing to add.I tried very hard to keep the colour scheme black and red only, going as far as hunting down black 3x axles because those bley ones are an eyesore. If you ignore those dark grey hordika skulls in the front feet then I think I pulled it off.

he made a penguin!

I took art at GCSE but I took it as a sort of extra after school which I only attended every fortnight, so I suppose the time I really started drawing was just over a year ago when I started college. Yea you wouldn't believe it but lots of people in my art class also take physics... it's a bit weird really, maybe the mindset transfers. You need imagination for both.Your skills with a blending stick are stunning. No wait - your entire skills are stunning! D:For how long have you been drawing?Art or physics? So I'm nott the only one who has to make that decision
-
Wow, that's really good! I mean the wheel guard is a strange colour but I'm willing to ignore it because it's the right shape. Have you thought of using a bigger wheel?Anyhow I like how you've used those icky torso pieces and actually made them look decent, that alone stands out to me. Also you've contrasted the yellow against black really well, looks like a bee! Good hands too, it's good they can reach the ground because otherwise... how would he brake?
-
Once I finish college next year I'm planning to go on an art foundation course, after that I'll either take art or physics at university (depending on my experiences) so yea it's a bit more than a hobbyVery nice! Are you planning to go to school for art, or is this just more of a hobby?
-
Just pencil, but you can't tell because I used a blending stick on it, and thanks :}Wow, those are all stunning! What medium is the butterfly done in?

It would be cool if there was a non-lego related art forum in creative outlet but there isn't :CHere's some art I've made at school:It would be great to have some comments on these, thanks!

When results come in will we be able to see what the judges thought of our entries? Mine got no replies when I posted it :C

Ok since it's the weekend I managed to get some photos in the morning when light exists.Front view:Picture of the arm for Mister shadow:Side on, I have to disagree with you Paleo because I think the head isn't too far back:and etc:I'll stick these in the OP too.@Paleo I would love to have either a black thumb claw or one like the other fingers but I simply do not have the pieces, but I agree with you.
-
Sorry about the lighting. My bulb is broke and I live under perpetual cloud cover.
-
If you look at the left arm, it is the upper arm piece.Hordika arm piece? I can't make out anything that resembles a Hordika arm. Which piece are you referring to?
-
It is built into the arm, using the hordika arm piece. I keep a spare 'normal arm' though.Very nicely done! A rather dark and menacing build that looks great from every angle! And is he holding the shield? Or is it just built into his arm? I would assume so, if it has a spinning function. Nice touch.
-
This is my first ever self-moc, please be nice :}The model features a custom torso design that allows for waist articulation. It also has a function in the right arm that makes the shield spin in a ... hypnotisey way? Yes.Sorry for the large dose of depression, at this time of year it doesn't get much brighter so everything's a bit grey. The moc:Fighting a Vortixx:Hey he fits on the window cill!So basically this is my self-moc. If I was an animal then I'd always considered being a Raven and so I tried to reflect that in the colour scheme and general aesthetic. Thanks for viewing my thread and I would love some comments!

No the idea isn't that spammers won't agree to the terms... the idea is that it wouldn't be BZP's responsibility if an innocent were to be offended, it would be their own fault. In any case some decent filters and a vote-kick would keep the chat relatively clean (unless there are some really bad eggs) :SBut anywho from feedback it seems the general consensus is LAG, TOO MUCH LAG ... and there's not much that can change that I suppose.
Yeah, that's kind of like outlawing guns so nobody shoots each other. The trustworthy people would get rid of their guns, and criminals would keep theirs.
And how would that stop spammers, exactly? If one of the main reasons against this is the moderation, how about you have to click 'I agree to terms' to use the chat? You'd have to agree you're over 13 and are mature and what-not...

Spam filter. You can limit the number of characters in a chat post, you can auto-kick for too many posts per second, you can have a vote-kick system, all these I've seen working successfully on other sites.

Glaring Movie Plot Holes

In Watchmen at the end the main villain explains that he had planned the whole scheme from years and years ago, but those amount of years ago the thing which he was planning for hadn't come about yet so he wouldn't have known to start planning.
