    Everyone, you probably don't know this, but my friend here Sybre has an OTC comic series going on called Sonic: Pure Chaos.
     
    It's an original plot with fan-characters, and I think it holds a lot of promise, so I'm putting this on my blog as an attempt to get his series more exposure, as he could use the comments and(constructive)criticism.

    Really though, I seriously regret not getting Bowser's Inside Story when it came out, and I'll make sure not to miss this game. It looks pretty awesome. I mean, check out this trailer!

    So how do you guys feel about third-party accessories for game consoles? Me, I'm perfectly okay with using them. I know third-party accessories are notorius for being of poor quality, my experience with them has not been bad.
     
    My first experience was buying a Dreamgear Wiimote Charging Dock. I really did not like using regular batteries, which is why I bought the product. It actually worked pretty well for a couple of years, providing enough power for what I did, but probably not for marathon runs through games. However, it recently stopped holding a charge for very long, which for four years and twenty bucks, was an okay deal. I bought an Energizer Charging Station to replace it, and so far my previous statements on the Dreamgear charger are still applicable.
     
    I also recently purchased a pair of Nyko Wiimote and Nunchuck alternatives, the Wand+ and Kama. Aesthetically, I like how the Wand+ had a very nice satin coating, which made it very smooth and pleasant to the touch. It also had larger buttons than the stock Wiimote, which it also nice. However, if I have one complaint, it's that the D-pad is mushier and clunkier than the original Wiimote. Overall, the Wand+ is a decent alternative to the Wiimote, though not without it's flaws. For the Kama, I'll just get this out of the way, I prefer MUCH more than Nintendo's Nunchuck. First of all, it's larger, meaning I have a better grip on it than I did on the Nunchuck. The C and Z buttons are also much larger, and the Z button now has and extended back like that of a trigger. Overall, the Kama is a much better experience than the Nunchuck in my eyes.
     
    So yeah, that's my experiences with buying third-party gaming accessories. Feel free to share your experiences or comment about anything in this post.

    Songs of the Moment

    This... It's just so catchy and energetic. The vocals in the back really add to the song, and the melody itself is wonderfully composed.
     

     
    This song is very subdued and slow, yet it has a trance-like effect which immerses me into the melody itself. I love it when a song does that. Oh, and the violin part is absolutely beautiful...

    So after playing around in Brawl for a while, I've noticed that I like to play as Sonic, Kirby, and Pit. My friend noted I seemed to prefer characters who could easily rack up damage, yet had very few hard-hitting KO moves. That interested me upon hearing that, so I ask you guys now, what characters do you like to main in Smash Bros., and what do you think your playstyles are like?

    Yay! Embedding YouTube videos! It is happy day! To celebrate, how about some awesome songs from videogames?
     
    For our first entry, we're looking at songs from two fangames, Sonic: Before the Sequel, along with After the Sequel.
     
    Now, I have to say, the soundtracks from both songs are amazing. It's proffessional quality stuff, made by extremely talented people(one of which is working on Final Fantasy!) Both soundtracks have an amazing variety of songs, and I will list some of my favorites below.

    BZPower was chilling like a cool person (not cool dude) does, until every website in existence walked up to it and said (in unison), "U are not good website, we beat you up!"
     
    Then BZP laughed at their faces and said "Nu-uh, you guys can't stand up to my awesome!" BZP then showed off it's awesome, scaring the website.
     
    "Anyways," BZP said, "Fight!"

    Yeah so it's BZP's twelfth anniversary, so because the site has been around so long, it's obviously very awesome! Let's show every other website how freaking awesome we are because go BZP!

    So I've made an entry entirely dedicated to having you guys suggest battles between any two fictional characters! I am interested in seeing what you guys want, but I will only take battles if I have prior knowledge of them and I consider them to be particularly interesting/popular.
     
    Also, how does one become a popular blogger? Sometimes I feel as if I'm talking to nobody.

    Sonic the Hedgehog was a blur as he made his way to Dr. Eggman's latest fortress. It was sorta boring for him actually, another day, another scheme to stop.
     
    "If only something interesting happened..." he muttered to himself.
     
    Meanwhile, a ship was descending down the atmosphere. Inside housed the intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran. An anonymous client had offered a very nice sum of money for her to terminate a certain speedy, blue hedgehog. Landing at the coordinates given to her, Samus noticed the creature described skid to a halt next to the ship. Samus smirked underneath her Power Suit and got out.
     
    "So who're you supposed to be?" asked Sonic, slightly confused.
     
    Samus turned around and shot off a charged shot towards Sonic, who dodged.
     
    "Ah, something new. This oughta be good."
     
    Inside the fortress, Dr. Ivo 'Eggman' Robotnik cackled madly. "Yes! Finally, I will be rid of that hedgehog forever!"

    So this here's a battle between Sonic and Samus, requested in the previous entry. I will now list the rules for the battle.
     
    Both Sonic and Samus will have access to any ability or equipment from their games, such as the Homing Attack or Power Missiles. Samus specifically will be forced to switch between her various suits and beams, though attacks like the Screwattack can be used regardless of what is equipped. Sonic, as stated will have access to any move from any game he has been in, and will also have the ability to summon various powerups, e.g. shields, speed shoes. As per all battles, the battle will continue until one of the opponents is dead or incapable of fighting any longer.
     
    So who do you guys think will win? Feel free to suggest more battles in the comments as well.
     
    P.S. Please don't say "Use Smash Bros." As fun as the series is, they are not good representations of outcomes of a fight. I mean, I played Meta Knight in Brawl, but my more experienced friend won against me with Kirby.

    3DS Stuff?

    So I've got some money to spend on stuff, and I wanted to spend it on something for the 3DS. I'm interested in getting an eShop card to spend on games(particularly from the Virtual Console), but I really want to get Mario and Luigi: Dream Team. So what do you guys think I should do?
     
    P.S. I will not get New Leaf, so please don't say "GET NEW LEAF!1111one" *sets up barricade*
     
    P.S.S. Next entry will be a Fictional Character Face-Off, so feel free to suggest stuff matches for that.

    So I really need something to post about on this blog, and based on the reception of my last blog post, I will turn that concept into a series.
     
    It'll be called the Fictional-Character Face-Off, and I will take two fictional characters from any medium and set rules for the fight. I'll also write a quick and short narrative of the circumstances of the fight, but be warned, I will take a lot of liberties with those.
     
    Example:
     
    Dr. Light had sent MegaMan to the Planet Popstar to examine and conduct research on the natural flora and fauna, as well as examine the various species that inhabited the planet. As MegaMan landed on the planet, the wind from the landing knocked over Kirby, who was about to eat a delicious strawberry shortcake. Kirby got up and saw that his perfect cake was ruined! He searched for the assailant, and just then, MegaMan exited his ship. Fuming, Kirby quickly inhaled a Waddle Doo, gaining the Beam ability and struck MegaMan. Knocked back, MegaMan got up and readied his Mega Buster.
     
    You guys are free to suggest specific battles, but I'll only select them if they are particularly interesting and if I have any knowledge of the characters.

    Kirby vs. MegaMan

    So I was bored today, and after spending some time on the internet, started thinking of the outcomes if Kirby and MegaMan fought each other.
     
    I mean, both can copy abilities, but MegaMan is limited to the abilities of Robot Masters he defeats. Kirby has a much wider range of powers at his disposal at any other time, even if MegaMan keeps every ability he obtains.
     
    MegaMan however, is far less vulnerable than Kirby in their normal states. MegaMan has constant access to the Mega Buster, while Kirby can pretty much only inhale enemies or exhale air. Kirby is far more durable however, because he's practically like bubblegum, so he can withstand a great variety of attacks. Spikes are instant kill for MegaMan.
     
    There's probably a lot more information I overlooked, but this was just a random idea I thought up of. Who do you guys think would be the victor?

    I thought this was interesting, so I'll share this with you guys.
     
    Due to the rise in mobile and social gaming, console games have seen a lack of support. Due to this, one person set up a group of people to make a console that would revolutionize the gaming industry.
     
    Enter the Ouya. It only costs 99 dollars, making it very economical. The actual size of the console is around that of a Rubik's Cube, making it smaller than the controller, even. Each console can be opened easily with a standard screwdriver, turning any console into a development kit, without the need for licensing fees. It's even hacker friendly, allowing anyone to customize their Ouya, and hacking or opening an Ouya does not void your warranty.
     
    Every game on the Ouya is free at least to try, with upgrades to the full version, or microtransitions throughout the game. Many popular games, like Minecraft could find themselves on the Ouya. The console is expected to ship in March 2013.
