  1.

I've made my own mask powers for the 1.0 helms that stay pretty consistent within my head canons.

Furno = Kanohi Mehh, Mask of Average. Allows the user to perform at the average physical condition of their species.

Stomer = Kanohi Notahoo, Mask of Pariah. Allows the user to give the perception that he is awesome to others.

Breeze = Kanohi Uahbugh, Mask of Insects form. Makes you look like an insect.

Surge = Kanohi Blunofemayl, Mask of Men. Turns you male.

Bulk = Kanohi Wynobroun, Mask of Silver. Turns everything around you silver.

Stringer = Kanohi Sekundbulc, Mask of Redundancy. Ability to create more copies of the mask of redundancy.

Alright, those mask are the weirdest mask I have ever hear of all time...          ever...       especially Surge's as Kanohi Blunofemayl.

I'm be over here making my own story with the Xilond and the Kaishekk.

Did you not get the puns? No Tahu? Eww a bug? Why no brown? Second bulk? :P Surges was "Blue no female", a pun on how the blue guys were always female.

  3. There was nothing stopping a female Av-Toa in Gen1 either: Av-Matoran was the sole dual-gender tribe, and there was no reason given why another Av-Toa couldn't have been created the same way other Toa are, a Toa passing on Toa energy to (say) a reconciled Gavla.

A female "Master of Light" would bring the gender ration of Gen2 to 5:2, not 7:2.

That's the whole point. It was because Av Matoran were dual gendered that this was possible. This isn't possible with any of the other tribes. Which is restrictive. If you wanted a female Toa of Power, you couldn't do that. Not if you wanted internal consistency.

I said 2/7, not 2:7. 2/7 is completely accurate. There are 7 Toa, 2 of which would be female.

  4.

    2) Equal gender ratios amongst tribes

    3) Toa of Light being a female.

I don't understand why people are so obsessed with there being more females.

In what way would the story change? Why does it matter, if it's targeted to boys? How would the story change if the toa were all female?(From a gender-roleless story, because I'm pretty sure that a full female toa team would be full of stereotypes.)

If Takanuva was a female, would anything even change? There's no different biology, no love(from what I heard), no nothing, it's all in their heads.

You people must grow up. Changing a few genders around in a toy line isn't going to solve any problems or discriminations.

I asked for 1 more female character to be added to the list of main characters. This does not constitute as an obsession. I am asking for a 2/7 female gender ratio. There are practical reasons for why you would have equal gender ratios amongst the tribes. If a kid wanted to make a moc that was a green female villager, for example, they could do so without having to feel as if though they are violating the storyline canon. It gives the storyline more freedom for imagination, whilst allowing the fans to stay internally consistent. Lego also doesn't shoot themselves in the foot. If they wanted to make a blue male character whilst still retaining the gender ratio, they could. They can simply reassign the female role to another colour

Lastly: You have heard nothing. Not unless you have access to secret info the rest of us don't have. There has been no information on the subject of romance. There has been no new information on whether or not the characters are biological or not. 2015 is a complete reboot. There is magic in their universe. As far as anyone can tell, they are no longer on the face of a giant robot. We don't even have Matoran or Turaga, nor the Matoran-Toa-Turaga cycle. 2015 is a whole new storyline with a whole new universe. Nobody holds the delusion that changing gender ratios in a fictional storyline is going to solve any problems in real life. This is irrelevant to my point. It's simply elements that would make for a better story. So take down your strawman, send it away on the back of your high horse.

  5. I have to say 2015 heads. Looks pretty good and has a functional purpose. Also, I like the way the masks are attacked on these heads. They seem like actual masks now that we dont need to fit an axle in the mouth.

Metru heads looked too ugly imo.

How would you want to see the new elemental powers handled in 2015? I know they're doing a new take on it. I really hope that it follows some sort of natural progression, and they unlock more powers as they become stronger. I was thinking something like this:

    Novice < Advance < Expert

    Fire: Fire control/resistance < Create Fire/Absorb heat< Lightning

Water: Water Control/Enhanced swimming skills < Create Water/Breath underwater unassisted < Healing

Jungle: Air and plant manipulation < Air generation < Unassisted flight

Ice: Ice touch/cold resistance < Ice constructs < Flash freezing at distance

Stone: Shatter and manipulate stones < Stone generation < Metal

Earth: Summon Earthquakes < Create stretches of Earth < Gravity

That's an interesting idea, but I'm not sure how I feel about some of the Expert powers. Making Lightning, Metal and Gravity subpowers of the main elements kind of prohibits them from appearing as main powers later, something that I'd really like to see. And I hope Lewa's Jungle element has only a slight relation to plants and more of a focus on Wind, to allow a dedicated Plantlife character later.

I can't say I like the idea of 15 elements if they're never going to be made into sets. I would much rather have them be highly advanced abilities of the six elemental powers. It would also be a neat way between distinguishing skill and abilities that the old storyline never seemed to portray.

  7.  It would have to be Tahu's mask of fire. Initially I was skeptical because the cover art made the mask seem really bulky, but seeing it in 3D really dispelled any criticisms I've had of it. It's also very Tahu-ish. Just as the Lhikan Hau gave a very Lhikan feel, this new mask gives a very distinct Tahu feel. It's exactly as I'd envision the difference between Tahu's face and Lhikans if both were going to show up in a movie.

  9. For 2016, I'd like to stick with Tahu and co...Except they all get new upgrades. I want to see a dragon themed Tahu. That would complete my life.

2017, I'm all for a new team. It would be the Inika team imo. Jaller and Hahli needs to return.

  10.

Thanks for that video. The new Tahu is an absolutely beautiful set. That armour just looks so great and I love the proportions for once. The weapons and mask are fantastic.

The gearbox design is definitely a pretty cool feature. Implemented very well. But what is that small gear doing on the top? Is it just an aesthetic choice?

    -NotS

Nope. The small gears are used to add friction. Tahu, Gali, and Pohatu all use them in the center like that, Lewa and Kopaka use them in the shoulders, and Onua instead has a ball joint and Y-joint to add friction in his right shoulder (since his hammer is one of the heaviest weapons, presumably).

This allows the figures to hold a pose where the arms are raised, something the old Toa could not do so well unless you put a gear on the back to "lock" the function.

How exactly does the small gear add friction? I'm having trouble visualizing the process.

  11. Tahu. He's is currently the most powerful Toa. He is the leader of the Toa: Not just the Nuva, but essentially the entire Toa resistance during the effort against Makuta. He's a warrior and can scrap and brawl if needs be, but has learnt when to keep his ego aside. If I want someone to be between me and an army, it would be Tahu.

Jaller. Stood up against a Bohrok Kal when even the Toa Nuva were helpless. He is a natural leader. As a Toa, he made very sensible decisions from the start. He was the first to offer himself to the Ignika, and only hesitated when he thought of the consequences of his death on others. Contrast this to Matoro, who nominated himself due to his lack of self esteem. In fact, Jaller's sacrifice during MOL made him as much of a hero as Mataro as a matoran imo. It showed he was willing to sacrifice his life for a friend, and trusted in Takua to find strength in himself. If I want someone to lead a rescue mission, it would be Jaller.

Vakama. He has tonnes of experience. His resolve has been tested time and time again, and he's not afraid to put everything on the line to stop Makuta. Arguably one of the most developed characters in this series. His will is forged in fire. Even as a Turaga, Vakama is still serving the matoran. If I want someone to make the hard decisions, it would be Vakama.

Lhikan. Can't have a list without Lhikan. He inspired many Toa that came after him.

  12. I don't care how old you are. Bionicle is an amazing story that transcends the whole 'kiddie toy' cliché by being an amazing and gripping story and action figure line. Both mediums are blended together seamlessly and provide a form of storytelling that has been rarely seen since but immensely emulated.

And another thing is that I will happily walk into the store and spend my money on all six Toa. Because I can. If a 40 year old man can get obsessed over something as crazy as a talking pony then a 22 year old college student using his debit card to buy sets of his childhood heroes is nothing to worry about.

     THIS MAN SPEAKS THE TRUTH.

    Bionicle is a lifestyle, bro.

  13. 1. Tahu

    2. Lewa

    3. Kopaka

    4. Gali

    5. Onua

    6. Pohatu

maybe im a major Tahu fanboy but for real, he looks so heroic and looks optimus-prime like. having two sets of swords cant hurt.

I love everything about his 2015 designs. The large fire swords makes it look like he's ready to brawl, whereas the golden swords looks like he's going to do some fancy silat or escrima moves.
