  1. OK SO I HAVE BEEN PLANNING THE FOREST AND NIGHT VISION BOHROK FOR A LONG TIME BUT I HAVE ALL THESE OTHER INTERESTS, I'LL LET YOU KNOW WHEN I FEEL LIKE I'M READY TO GET BACK INTO THE OLD SETS, FOR NOW I FOCUS ONLY ON THE NEW SETS
  2. Sterling SILVER And White METAL that means they are made of METAL or SILVER!!!!! WOOOOOOOOO I AM SO AWESOME
  3. I guess your right, BUUT I beg to differ, I don't know how many WMKK are left so it's worth trying, also what happened to the remaining SSKK? It's still worth a chance!!!!! Now I know I probably have a snowballs chance in he**, but hey its worth trying, and who knows? Maybe I'll actually find one Also this may sound stupid and it may as well be but what if I use a metal detector? Since both the SSKK AND WMKK are made of a certain metal, a metal detector could easily detect the metal or silver krana inside a canister, since nothing inside the canister could possibly disrupt the metallic or silver output of that said Krana, therefore the metal detector would detect it, leaving you with only one choice left opening the canister and finding out And that is the problem with the whole promotion angle. It's a cool incentive but some people don't understand the value of the item... and you get tragic stories like this. -NotS Yup, that was me. Actually a friend of mine found it and traded it to me. And I would partially disagree with your assessment of it being tragic, NotS; after all, now I've got a WMKK. Aside from that, the original owner may very well have known its value, but accidents like holes in pockets do happen. Anyways - it's easy to estimate the number of sealed Bohrok-Kal sets that still have metal Krana in them, but it requires three numbers that none of us have: Kal sets distributed to North America (the only place where the promotion happened), the percentage of people who leave sets sealed after buying them (a very rough estimate by itself, not to mention very small), and the percentage of Kal sets that had metal Krana in them to begin with (5072 divided by the first number - again, very small). Multiply those three numbers together, and you have your estimate. Unfortunately, the fact that people were actively searching for sets with metal Krana, and not just buying them randomly, means that the estimate found with the above procedure is an overestimate. It assumes that people were only buying Kal sets randomly, which they weren't. Then there's the point that Lyichir brought up - that most people who still have sealed Kal sets have already inspected their stock. So, to answer your first question, yes, there's a chance. But it's minuscule. You would likely end up spending thousands of dollars or more, only to be met with disappointment every time. As for believing in your goal no matter the odds, that mindset might make you more determined, but ultimately won't help. If your ultimate goal is to own a WMKK, you would be much better off buying one; there was one for sale in B/S/T a few days ago (it's gone now, but the point is they show up for sale regularly). It's not as much fun as finding one in a sealed set, but sadly the latter is virtually impossible. And as for SSKK specifically - forget about it. -L If they inspected their stock they would have already taken out the krana for themselves but if one would want to sell one with a SSKK or WMKK inside still sealed they would probably sell it for a high price, so there is still a chance of finding one
  4. I would keep one safe inside its velvet bag, only take it out for YouTube videos or to behold it's insurmountable beauty We have to keep believing in finding them no matter how impossible the odds are of finding them still inside sealed canisters
  5. Who knows, sometimes you need to believe in fate, dreams do become reality, it's just it needs you to make it happen. Also it's about da** time they made a tally sheet of all the SSKK and WMKK that have been found
  6. I LOVE MAKING BIONICLE MOCS, COLLECTING MASKS, WHATEVER INSANE CREATION I THINK OF I CREATE IN REAL LIFE, MY THOUGHTS BECOME REALITY AND IM ITS PIONEER

  7. Anybody know how many SSKK AND WMKK are left? and if so, is there a chance of finding one or more in sealed canisters on eBay or other sites that sell unopened BOHROK KAL canisters? Also would like your experiences of finding them when they first started the power of sterling silver hunt, if you happened to find one back then
  8. Ok I ditched the elder Lewa idea and created a jujitsu/boxing/fist to face combat version of Lewa, he's kind of like atom from reel steel but it's Lewa and he doesn't let others do the talking for him, he lets his fists do the talking and his feet do the butt kicking. Float like a Gukko Bird, sting like a Nui Jaga and that's pretty much it for now
  9. My next project will be an old TOA MOC code named: elder Lewa It is going to be after my F.N.V.B my forest and night vision bohrok
  10. That's what I like to hear
  11. What's inspiring you for your projects guys?
  12. Anyone have a sand tarakava?
  13. I hope there are still some sskk and wmkk out there, I mean just imagine, opening a bohrok kal canister, seeing the velvet bag, taking the sskk or wmkk out of the bag, omg, it would feel like winning the superbowl, and Oscars 1,000 times in a row. I cant even begin to think what it would feel like. It would be cool if someone found an SSKK and a WMKK in the same canister I wonder if you can tell the difference between BOHROK KAL canisters that have WMKK or SSKK in them and the ones that don't, because there has to be a weight difference even if the SSKK and the WMKK are just small masks in a velvet bag with a card inside it too, not to mention the cd that comes with the BOHROK
  14. Chronix mask is awesome I feel like there would be a number of issues with that. Firstly, gold is HEAVY—it wouldn't take a genius to pick up a heavier-than-usual Toa set and realize it had a valuable mask inside. Secondly, particularly with the less substantial boxes, I can't help but figure that putting valuable, one-of-a-kind masks in random sets would lead to a lot of boxes being ripped open in stores by careless thieves searching for the rare masks. Hmm your right about that I wonder how many BOHROK KAL sets still have an SSKK or WMKK in them
  15. I would like to see a platinum lewa Nuva mask
  16. It would be cool if Lego put those 14K gold masks in specially marked Bionicle canisters just like they did with the BOHROK KAL cans with the SSKK and WMKK
  17. Awesome The legality might be a bit dubious if you were selling them, but I doubt LEGO would send any kind of cease-and-desist. They have a pretty laissez-faire attitude towards customizers, since generally they have no reason to see customizers as competition (unlike the companies who sell LEGO knock-offs on toy store shelves, who present a more serious threat to their business).I don't know a whole lot about the physical properties of metals other than the basics like "gold is soft" or "steel is hard". So I don't know a lot about which metals might be well-suited to making masks as a display piece, let alone for actual use on MOCs and sets. But just speaking from an aesthetic standpoint, gold and silver versions of the Mask of Creation or the 2015 Toa masks would be nice (although I probably wouldn't want to make gold ones, since I wouldn't want to feel like I was diminishing the exclusivity of the authentic contest prizes). Gold and silver versions of the original Toa masks would also be cool. So would a gold Mask of Light and Mask of Life, or if we step away from precious metals for a moment, a cast iron Mask of Shadows! But is there any one particular metal mask I would want to commission, create myself, or receive as a gift? Err... not particularly. They'd make good display pieces, but that would mean making space to display them. They'd look cool on sets or MOCs, but that might not be practical if they're made of a particularly precious metal or if they upset the weight distribution of the MOC. Not to mention they would never quite match the color scheme of any set or MOC, so you'd have to want them to stand out from it. The last thing I'd want is for them to just sit in a box or bag somewhere (which, I'm a bit ashamed to say, is what became of the one custom mask I DO own — as much as I love the design, I just don't have a nice enough place to display it). And beyond that, I don't have a particular mask that is extraordinarily special to me (as in, incredibly more special than other hypothetical masks). Gali's new Mask of Water is a favorite of mine, but besides being a beautiful mask from a beautiful set, it doesn't hold any sentimental value. I never came up with a self-MOC or OC I was entirely happy with so it's not like I'd want to get a mask to fit that character. Ooh, you know what would be really cool? A silver Mask of X-Ray Vision or Mask of Ice with some type of jewels inset in the lenses! you really really know what your dealing with when you think of all the things that would happen if you happen to get one mask made of a certain metal Ok anyways what masks do you have in mind Flintsmith's been making these for ages, so I don't think it's illegal. As for a catch, they're expensive. Very expensive. Like >$50.Do you have ones made by flintsmith? There's a topic somewhere around here with some of his masks. If you like metal masks, here's something you may find pretty cool: http://www.bzpower.com/board/topic/17169-solid-bronze-mask-of-time-human-scale/Anyway, on to the OP question, I would like to see a gold Aki and a silver Rua. EDIT: Not a topic, but I found the link in Letagi's collectibles topic: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/tbjipjoj04e04nh/AAAarZIkXLPCRm2bIehl592ha#/ Dang that metal ru ru is amazingI would love a solid platinum Tahu Nuva

  19. But is it illegal and are there ramifications? I mean there has to be a catch or something
  20. All of you guys rock!!!!! Thanks for making my topic mean something to me
