As I said, not specifically rare, yet a cool addon to my collection. Never got into mask collecting, as a kid I was way too fascinated by the sets alone. Heck yeah whatever floats you boat dude I think the smoke kaukau compliments the moc as being an awesome mask it also kind of describes the characters background and what the character feels and what he and or she went through

rare masks such as misprints uncommons custom colored masks etc I got my smoke kaukau from eBay today I'm trying to post pictures of my MOCS in this because they have some rare masks used on them but I cant Anyone have any rare masks they would like to talk about? I'm all ears I wish I could post photos of my mocs on this page I have an idea go to my youtube page bionicle moc master 95 and I'll upload a video of my mocs I'll upload a video of my mocs later Smoke Kaukau? Uh, sorry but that's not a rare mask. It's just a standard black Kaukau from the mask packs. It's about as rare as any other mask. The guy selling it said it was rare I also think it's a good addition to my mocs because it's cool That seller was probably lying. The only rare Kaukaus are the trans-light blue one and the trans-yellow one. I suppose the gold and silver ones are a bit uncommon too. I wonder who has a purple kaukau? That would be cool or a translucent glow in the dark kaukau or a lava colored kaukau The "smoke" (Trans. Brown) Kaukau is not really any rarer than other recolored Toa Mata masks to my knowledge. It's the Kaukau worn by Onua, and as such I would expect it to only be as rare as, say, a red Miru or black Kakama.BUUT finding one on eBay is extremely rare and you can't find them on any other website except bricklink or etc so it's rare to me oh also I found an orange ruru in my mask pack yesterday that I also ordered on eBay and got in the mail yesterday so is that considered uncommon or rare? because you can only get the orange ruru in the manas set or if your lucky a mask pack like I gotIn general, masks that are available in both mask packs and sets are less rare than ones only available in mask packs (the infected Hau being only marginally less rare since its availability in mask packs WAS more limited than other masks). So the orange Ruru would be less rare than, say, an orange Matatu.Of course, this many years after the sets came out, rarity is driven just as much by demand as by distribution, since masks that are less valued by collectors will be cheaper and more obtainable than ones with a high perceived value. That probably accounts for the rarity of various Kaukau colors, since their transparency makes them quite valuable to MOCists, and as such there are fewer on the open marketplace. I wish I could use my orange ruru for a moc but I don't have any ideas Look at my album and you'll see a few of my mocs

I'm getting a mask pack in the mail from eBay soon I can't wait hopefully it has a rare Kaukau or some misprint or other I know I'm getting a rare yes extremely rare smoke kaukau I got on eBay too both the kaukau and the mask pack I got cheaply so wish me luck

I just ordered a mask pack on eBay and also I ordered a rare yes I repeat extremely rare smoke kaukau on eBay for only 12.99 I hope the mask pack contains rare masks I can't wait they are coming in a few days wahooooo!!!!!!! *Raises hand* I got one in the only mask pack I ever bought, back in 2001. I have a few masks that are rare I'm going to be receiving a rare smoke kaukau I got in eBay and hopefully a rare misprint mask or rare kanohi in my mask pack which I also got on eBay
