So wait the creatures are from thousands of years ago? So I wonder if they're going to explain the history of Okoto more this year?
Hopefully we get another The Legend-style episode with the creatures. I wonder if they had any relationship with the MM or were neutrals.
Also, does anyone know what was the inspiration for Umarak's legs (e.g. chicken, deer, etc.)? I'm making a similar MOC and I want to make an improved version of them.

Yesterday I was thinking about how the uniters take ideas from the concept art we saw last year at NYCC (especially The mask part, seen in the top banner, which showed "element lords" combining with the toa, something we see with the creatures).
And recently, some prototype pictures of the skull squad were posted in the BZP instagram account, and a certain one caught my attention.
What if the designers do the same and next summer's ultimate villain is a combiner between the villains? That would certainly look awesome.

I also wish for Ultrabuilds. It would be amazing to get dark blue shells with Clay and the XL chestplate in silver with Axl.
A bit unrelated, but this seems to be the only NK topic in here (unless there's another one somewhere else), so I'll post it here.
Yesterday I went to Brick 2015 in London and met Mark Stafford in the small NK display, where there were various prototype pieces and minifigures, and various prototype stages of Clay's Rumble Blade.
I had a very fun and informative chat with him (especially about the lack of space themes, also some bits about bionicle). Obviously I wasn't going to get out of there without a signed shirt.

I wouldn't mind if Journey to One also had some protectors/villagers with their vehicles/beasts as secondary protagonists and sold them as sets (kinda like the Jaller/Gukko set).

Story speculation:
The catalog page says that Ekimu sends the toa to unite with the creatures so that they are powerful enough to recover the MoCo.
Aside the marketing aspect, why?
What would happen if they went to get the MoCo in their creature-less forms?
Also, why does Umarak wants to enslave the creatures? Does he know about the MOUP and wants to get it for himself?
Hopefully we get these questions answered in next year's animations...
...If we get any animations. JtO could be the 2016 animations, but we still don't know.

Maybe there's going to be creature combiners?
It could be something like the 2004 matoran combiners.

I did my 1st ever pumpkin carving this year (something resembling Jack Skellington), so I decided to make my 2nd one a bit more appropriate:
I carved Skull Grinder's mask!

Do I see a "Kulta Kal" in the lower left hand corner of that image? It looks like maybe Kulta's not quite done for yet.
Why does concept art always look like it has better designs?
And why does this have to be 100% correct when it comes to Bionicle?
However, that would be an interesting concept for 2017.
We could get the Toa's 3rd forms in the winter wave, and 6 villains + a Makuta vs. Ekimu set in summer.
And then you could combine the 6 villains and Makuta with the MOUP as the final enemy or something like that.

Oh, and in case you need further proof of the waist-swivel function, notice the white halos around Tahu's middle - clearly an indication of the swivel functionality.
Uhh, I don't think they'd ever demonstrate a function in a promo poster.
That's energy, or something like that.

Well now that just sounds incredible. 2016 may out-do 2015!
2015 gave us the return of gear boxes.
2016 gave us waist swivels.
You can notice the functions start to go down the body, so by 2017 we should have some function related to the legs/feet.

It's been a while since I posted my last MOC.
This time I've made a GMC motorhome:
Interior has 4 seats(2 front, 2 back), sink, oven, some tables, a small wardrobe and a bed at the back.
Perfect for your 90's camping!

Tragically, it looks like Onua's "Beware their stinger tails!" line was cut (pushed the runtime a little too long, I guess), but at least it got shifted into the title rather than being removed outright.
Nice. Couldn't stop laughing at how the toa get thrown around and they stay in firm position (especially tahu)

I was watching the legend trailer when I noticed something...
IF we ever get a pre-corrupt Makuta, I don't think it's going to have the glorious trans. purple bones/shells everyone has been waiting for.
Why?
Well, look at Makuta and his colored armor from the Legend trailer:
Now at Onua's purple shells (forearms):
It's obviously darker.
Now some of you may be thinking "but that's solid purple, not transparent. You can't make this comparsion!"
Well, take a look at Basher's animation model, since he's the only guy this year to have a transparent purple shell, which is his torso:
Trans. purple is represented the same way as purple, dark.
So there's no possible way animated Makuta's shells are trans. purple, but instead they're closer to trans. dark pink.
