  1. I've always considered the thought that at one point they were normal villagers. But in the beginning of Okoto's history, the Great Beings elevated the two brothers, Ekimu and Makuta, to a more special status, gave them the masks of Creation and Control, and all-around gave them authority to run the island. So they could be from the same element, just more special in a way (because I don't see any other Protectors communicating via telepathy with the Toa).

  2. Oh, those deep questions that make you want to write a thousand word essay... :P

No, that's not why I like Bionicle. And I feel like I'm going to struggle to stay in the present tense here.

I like Bionicle because I feel that it has the potential to be something more than it is, that there is so much untapped potential yet left waiting to be explored. In previous times, Bionicle dug into this potential and became a phenomenon. It was the potential of the story, the intrigue, the exciting and witty character interactions that kept me turning pages and reading books over and over and thinking about it.

These days, I think about set potential and how the CCBS just isn't really used as creatively as it could be. And I think, we're starting over with 2001 here and I didn't like 2001 story that much - there might be a chance for the story to come back.

I like Bionicle because it gives me just a little bit of hope. Hope and opportunity. It's still an open door that I can't quite bring myself to walk away from.

    Not yet.

I know that feeling. It will be many years before I'm done with Bionicle, or it's done with me, I'll never keep that straight :P

  3. Probably an odd sounding question, but what is it about Bionicle that makes you say, "This is one of the greatest themes Lego has made."

For me, personally, it's just the over-arching mystique of its atmosphere in practically all story mediums. When playing MNOG you had a sense that there was way more to the island of Mata Nui than meets the eye. While reading about the Bohrok you felt that there had to be more to them than just mindless destruction. When reading the books by Greg, especially ones like Maze of Shadows and Time Trap, you could tell that Makuta wasn't a villain to be simply trifled with. And then in 2008 when we all had that revelation about the entire story... it's just the best payoff to a build-up over eight years I could ask for.

    What about you?

  4. OOC:

OOC: Someone tell me if a form is to much for a level 2 rahkshi :P

As we've tried to tell you multiple times, yes, that is far too much for a level 2 Rahkshi. Again I ask you and MCGPY to please read the BS01 Kraata Variations page. At level two, a Rahkshi of Shapeshifting can only "slither through small passages." Shapeshifting on this scale isn't possible until level six, and you cannot gain the powers of what you shapeshift into. Heat Vision doesn't have eyebeams at this level either. They can only "raise the temperature of objects through physical contact."

OOC: Sorry, my bad. It won't happen again.

  5. I.C. Taltrun

Taltrun continued to hold Cordak too the ground in his eel form, but his hands were burning.

    "Arh!"

Taltrun dropped the eel, and as a last resort, tried to blast it with his heat vision.

IC: Cordak morphed into a Frostelus and scurries away from Taltrun before morphing back into a rahkshi.

OOC: Someone tell me if a form is to much for a level 2 rahkshi :P

  6. I.C. Taltrun

Taltrun made it to the medical office, and broke in. He cleaned his wounds and took some palma. As he walked out, he saw Cordak. He charged at him, and atempted tackled him. Taltrun pinned him to the ground.

"Heya punk.  Remember me.  I'm all better now."

Taltrun drew his sword and held it to Cordak's neck.

IC: Cordak snarled and shifted into a lava eel, turning up the heat.

  7.

I.C.  Taltrun gave up on his search for a medic, and heads for the front door of the school.  He runs out, then his vision starts to blear.  He gets weaker, and starts to loose his balance.  He continues to run, but now things look mearly like colored clowds to him.  He suddenly stumbles into the Dark-Blue and gold rahkshi that just arrived. O.O.C  Bah weep grahnah weep ninny bong to you too Leoxandar :P

OOC: :P IC: The new Rahkshi just gives an icey stare at Taltrun. "You, what is wrong?" he grunts.
I.C.Taltrun "Before you get angry, well, I'm loseing my eyesight, and I'm dieing."

"Good for you," he replies before proceeding on his way.
