Inhabitant (2/293)

  1. IC- Blink, Interacting with Sohnii, Bliss, and Horro. A newbie. Just like them. Fantastic. Okay. This was a good thing. But a bad thing, too. Horro probably didn't know his way around, either. "...I-it's nice to m-meet you, Horro." His eyes scanned over him. "I'm... Blink."
  2. IC- Blink, Interacting with Sohnii and Bliss. Notices Horro. Blink's gears tensed. He was ecstatic to meet Bliss, but now his usual nervousness spiked. An airy breath emitted from the Chain Lightning. Great, Great. Okay. Now, Blink, breath. He had to remind himself to calm down and react accordingly if anything horrible were to happen. His pupils darted to Sohnii, relieved that he spoke up. Was Horro a new student just like them or an experienced one?
  3. (Sorry if there's any mistakes in this post. I'm writing this while being very tired.) IC- Blink, Interacting with Sohnii and Bliss. After hearing Bliss' plausible offer he almost wanted to blurt out in sheer excitement himself. But he fought back the urge; his apprehensive tendencies were butting in again. Regardless, how amazing this was! "That would be... Helpful! Really nice. My current... Erm...Collection isn't..." Idiot. Why can't you speak without hesitating? You look like a fool! Blink mentally grimaced. "I'm going to run out of flowers soon. B-but you don- don't have to! U-um...I-I could help you...find some sprouts? Of... Of course... Ah... After we find our way to the dorms?" --And you didn't even gather enough flowers from home to suffice? Worthless.
  4. IC- Blink, Interacting with Sohnii and Bliss. She grew it herself? This snatched his attention. Hesitantly, he glimpses back at Bliss. A spark of enthusiasm threatened to show on his mechanical face. "Yes! I-I did! ...Um." The idea of growing flowers never occurred to him. Was flower-growing this Rahkshi's specialty? Her... Power? If so, that was absolutely amazing! A faint smile crept across the metallic head plate from Sohnii's nudge. A further gesture to formally interact, rather than cower. "I... I create my own flower crowns! Uh- um... I can make you a flower crown sometime... I-If you want!"
  5. IC- Blink, Interacting with Sohnii and Bliss. Bliss! Such a nice and simple name. With another passive glance to the flower on Bliss' head, he offhandedly adjusted the flower crown adorn on his own head. "Uh- that's a pretty flower," he points to the one Bliss was wearing. "...do you wear flowers all the time...?" Do you make flower crowds? He desperately wanted to ask. But the words failed to form. He was hopeful. Wishful that this Rahkshi shared some of the same interests he had. It would mean he could connect to someone new. The Chain Lightning Rahkshi blinked once, twice, before remembering that he really should introduce himself. Where were his manners? "Blink. I'm... Blink." A shaky breath escaped him. Was he holding his breath? Trying to ignore the apprehensive feeling bubbling up inside he focused his gaze on his brother, appreciative of him taking initiative with this awkward conversation.
  6. IC- Blink, Interacting with Sohnii and Bliss. When the duo passed familiar halls, there was a faint pondering hum from the skittish brother, then an amused chuckle at the mentions of a map. He probably should've been drawing down the layout of similar-looking hallways and corners. How did anyone manage to find their way around this maze-like complex? "Oh-" Just as Sohnii sharply turned the next corner, Blink registered the noise of someone--something slowly walking. They had almost walked straight into a fellow Rahkshi! Blink's reaction to profusely apologize bubbled up, but no words left him. There was a nagging feeling to whip around and walk in the other direction, but he didn't. Torn between his roaring fear and pure curiosity, Blink briskly scanned the stranger from head-to-toe. Puzzled and taken aback at seeing another Rahkshi. Was that a flower? Oh my, it was! She was new? *New*. She was a new student. It took a moment to grasp those words. She was lost as well. Not what he wanted to hear but that's okay. Too many thoughts furiously raced through his mind. After several seconds he steadily nodded to his brother. Certainly, the three of them could find their way around this confusing establishment!
  7. IC- Blink, Interacting with Sohnii. "Perhaps they're all at... A lesson? Out training?" Blink pondered with a tiny shrug. Would they be punished for missing a lesson, despite *just* enrolling and arriving at the academy? Surely not. He hoped not. It would be humiliating, embarrassing, and not a good firdt impression. He understood Sohnii's sentiments and to gather his thoughts before formally meeting another Rahkshi, though.
  8. IC- Blink, Interacting with Sohnii. The soft pat eased some apprehensive feeling bubbling up. The gesture was greatly appreciative. Blink offered a tiny, warm smile in return. As they stepped inside and began their aimless trek, Blink scanned the floor, up the walls, then to the ceiling before glancing back to Sohnii. "...That's fine by me." Would they be able to share a dorm? If not, he'd like to have a dorm next to his brother, if possible. "I... Hm...honestly expected this place to be packed. Or...I dunno. Lively?" He was honestly relieved of the silence that loomed in the barren halls. The longer he could avoid meeting someone intimidating, booming, or scary, the better.
  9. IC - Blink: Interacting with Sohnii Whereas Sohnii was openly verbal with his options about coming to Corpus Rahkshi, Blink was quietly yearning to return home. Homesick and anxious, he clung to his brother as if his life depended on it. He was hesitant to trust the Brotherhood, yet, here he was; joining an organization ran by them. Bitter that they pried him from the only place he ever knew and thrust him into the unknown... But at least they didn't separate him from Sohnii. He had his precious brother here. They could do this! The long-boat ride wasn't pleasant. He didn't enjoy the sway of the ship. It was a relief when they finally reached their destination. Blink was sure that his armor looked presentable. Standing in front of the double doors was intimidating. Who knows what lingers on the other side. But he couldn't go back. Giving Sohnii a tiny, appreciative nod, the metallic Rahkshi stepped into the castle-like building; bracing whatever was on the other side.
  10. WOO. here we go! Hopefully he looks okay! --- Name: Blink. Variation: Chain Lightning. Level: 2. Gender: Male. Gear: - Similar to his brother; Blink has two simple swords with an angular, spiked design expected of Makuta craftsmanship. - Dried out flowers; uses for adding bookmarks for his notebook and the occasional flower crown. - A simple gray notebook; You can see him reading through it during after hours. Whatever’s inside is only known by Sohnii. - He probably has some sort of simple brown “Backpack” to help carry stuff. Appearance: Very slick and polished set of reflective silver armor. Blink holds some low-self-esteem when it comes to presenting himself to fellow students: always wanting to leave a decent first impression, and to mask his emotional & social weaknesses. The insides of his armor are a darker tint of gray, and a lot less shiny by comparison. Blink was originally designed for speed and stealth, but once his timid personality was revealed, it was fitted for dexterity. The pupils are a light blue, similar to his brother. Personality: A skittish and apprehensive Rahkshi that's pitifully naive and hopeful. They are hesitant approaching and starting conversations with a complete stranger; it takes a while for him to muster the courage to confront someone or to ask for help. He's a pushover, not wanting to put in the effort to stand his ground when challenged. On the contrary to his timidness, Blink enjoys logical discussions, puzzles, historical stories, and riddles. It's one of the few times he'll openly jump into conversations with anyone and everyone, eventually making it one-sides due to how much rambling he does. He's a bookworm, too. Once he starts reading, it's hard for him to maintain focus on other tasks. Blink hates abrupt changes in his schedule, often deteriorating into a nervous mess. Blink makes flower crowns to those he deeply cares for or admires. (Some things are directly taken from Sohnii's history for Blink. I've had approval from Pan.~) Bio: Blink was created alongside his brother, Sohnii. Their Makuta, Exurtha, was a social outcast, by choice. He had a bit of a grudge against the Brotherhood, and this rubbed off slightly on his two Rahkshi, whom he kept secret. They underwent some basic physical and mental training; not enough to elevate them to level three, but enough to serve Exurtha's purposes in guarding the entrance to his tunnels, patrolling the forests, and bringing in Rahi for experimentation (although they were only able to do so for about 3 months before things fell apart.) Since he could not control them, Exurtha manipulated his creations, creating the illusion that he cared for them. It worked well, and Blink grew very clingy to his Makuta. Unfortunately, certain members of the Brotherhood did not trust Exurtha... they found him to be untrustworthy, and ever since he heard about the new breed, he had stopped contacting them. Suspicious, they sent someone to investigate. To prevent his sons from being discovered, Exurtha sent them away for a few days while he met with the representative. The two brothers, unfortunately, were detected by a Toa of Lightning with a mask of translation. Being only barely level 2, she overwhelmed them, and they probably would have died if Exurtha hadn't shown up. After recovering briefly, the Makuta left to deal with the Toa's village... but first, he instructed them to kill her while he was gone. Blink was puzzled and uncomfortable at killing another sentient creature. Blink remained quiet as Sohnii interrogated the captive with her Kanohi Rau. She shared some of her personal views, as well as tried to convince them to let her go, but Blink wasn't allowing that. That wasnt what Exurtha wanted. He'd probably be greatly upset if the Toa escaped. Blink showed hesitancy. Gratefully, Sohnii offered to kill the Toa. The skittish Rahkshi looked away right before the Toa was slain. Exurtha returned shortly after, and Blink was relieved. The individual sent to check up on Exurtha was still suspicious, so he stuck around to spy on the Makuta. At last, Sohnii and Blink's existence was confirmed, and the Brotherhood confiscated them. Because they didn't trust him, Exurtha had been instructed to turn over any intelligent Rahkshi he created. Instead, he had lied about it and kept them hidden. Additionally, evidence that he had planned to revolt had been uncovered. So, Sohnii and Blink were taken away from the only life they had ever known and placed at the academy. The transition was nervewracking. Blink didn't approve of it one bit. So he's clinging to his brother; desperate to hold on to something dear and familiar.
