And the Furno Bike. Got them at Toys R us, will update with more pictures as I build the sets.

    The sets

Here is Meltdown, With Tahu Star for a size comparison. The barraki tentacle was a nice touch, makes it look like he's shooting acid everywhere. The head is not made for a Glatorian head, but it can attach to a Metru head Maxilos style, although it sticks out a bit. And yes, that is yellow, not Keetorange.

Here's Xplode. Some good pieces. I can see Xplode parts being used in Skakdi MoCs. For clarification, that is Mata Red, not Metru red. Not to sure why they used throwbot arms, that plus the way the spines attach to the arms makes it a bit akward. The helmet is a glatorian helmet.

    EDIT:

Here is the Furno Bike A refreshing change from the Bionicle vehicles. Has a few recolors, such as the orange bitil wings and the orange borok Krana cover. The silver parts on the bike are a little darker than older versions, almost gunmetal. I'm not too sure if gunmetal got lighter or if metal got darker. The set does have several large gaps though.

Got the game today. Lots of fun. People who plan on playing online might want to check the Wii Friend Code topic for information on how a finding other BZPers for a Wii game without friend codes will work.

Between a trip to the thrift store, and my local game crazy closing down, I've been able to get some games pretty very ridiculously cheap.

Got a few Wii games I'd been holding off on getting till I could get them cheap. All are First Person Shooters. I've gotta say, I really hated the using the wiimote/Nunchuck for FPS games, but they are starting to grow on me. After playing a bit of Call of Duty 4, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, and 007: Quantum of Solace, its starting to grow on me.

Heres a little rundown of the games I got, and what I think of them:

    Wii Games:

Call of Duty 4: Was really into the Xbox version. Not a huge fan of how much they massacred the graphics, but since they were able to port the entire game and not leave any of the more fun aspects out (World at War's Nazi Zombies), Its worth it. Because of the uniqueness of the Wii, it is probably not the best idea to compare a Wii version of a game to the version on the more conventional systems, but rather the Wii games that went before it. Modern Warfate: Reflex is probably one of the best Wii FPS games out there right now. Treyarc should consider making an original Wii FPS, and not a port of another console's game.

Medal of Honor Heroes 2: Haven't really played this one much, but its controls are solid and has 32 player online. What more do I need to say?

Quantum of Solace: No complaints on the controls, but the framerate laggs on occasion. It plays kind of like Call of Duty with a Gears of War style cover system. Online Multiplayer is limited to 4 players, which is a letdown considering that games like Call of duty and the Conduit let you play with double that number.

    Xbox 360:

Deadrising: Very glad I waited this long to get this game. about an hour into the game I quit playing. Character dialogue was just way to cheezy for my taste. *Girl hands guy a gun* "You know how to use that?" "I've covered Wars you know." Thats great, but does he know how to use a gun? I can guarantee that the game will be on Ebay by the end of the month.

Ghostbusters. Fun game, but I'm not sure how much I'll play it once I beat it.

Far Cry 2: Haven't played it much, but it seems interesting. I'll have to get back to it when I get bored of the other games.

So today my dad came home and told me that R2 D2 was in the newest Star Trek movie at the part where the Enterprise first comes out of warp in the debris field. After a quick search on google, I came across the image below. Still not satisfied, I turned on the movie. Sure enough, at 1:19:08 R2 is floating in space.

Oh, and the title is just a joke, I don't actually think one is better than the other, just wanted to get your attention.

I've renewed my Premier Membership for another year. Pretty fast too. I filled out the form this morning.

Yeah... I can't think of anything else to write here...

Why do I have a blog again?

*First person to correctly name the movie the blog entrie's reference gets a picture of a cookie.

Hope everyone is enjoying labor day.

I got Guitar Hero 5 (XBox 360) the other day, and have basically been playing it non stop. The party mode and ability to play as your avatar is awesome. Now we just have to see if a future Rock band game does the same thing

Also, new moc up. This isn't the one I mentioned in an earlier entry, but one that I had built about a week later.

Also, my premier membership is due to expire soon, (September 24th to be exact), so expect a short* interruption is service then.

*By short I mean that I'm not too sure if I'll renew or not, so short in this case may or may not mean indefinite...

I got this at my local Lego store (The one in Bellevue) during the forum downtime, and am just now remembering to post pics.

    Just the space needle
    With the box

It was a fairly quick and easy build, I had it mostly built, except for the three tube thingeys that were required to be cut about an inch shorter before they could be put into place. The set is about 9 inches tall (22 centimeters). My only complaint is that the set is grey while the actual space needle is white, but that can easily be overlooked.

So my dad and I went to see the new Star Trek movie today.

    It.
    Was.
    Awesome!

I can't really say much without ruining it but

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «The movie completely overwrites everything that has already been done in the franchise. Not only is it a prequel, but its also a reboot. When you see the movie, you will know how its different when it happens.
    I've said too much...

They should have brought JJ Abrams in to do Star Trek movies a long time ago. This movie is exactly what the franchise needed.

I was clearing out my emails inbox when I stumbled across something I had forgotten about. Archived PMs.

I don't know how many people know about this, or even use it, but with the loss of server information, I think this merits a blog entry.

This handy little feature archives your Personal Messages and sends them to you in an email.

To create an archive of your Personal Messages:

1: Open up your control panel.

2: In the Messenger block at the top left you see all of your options concerning your PMs. Click on "Archive Messages", its the one that is second from the bottom.

3: You are then given options for what and how to archive your messages. The options are:

Archive from which folder? This one allows you to choose if you want to back up your inbox, outbox, or both folders.
Archive messages received in the last This allows you to choose what to back up to the point in time you specify.
Number of messages to archive Pretty self-explanatory. You can choose to back up anywhere from 5 to 50 messages at a time.
Delete messages after archiving? Selecting yes deletes the messages you are archiving. No leaves them in your inbox/outbox.
Compile datafile as You have two choices for how you want to receive the archived messages: An importable MS Excel data file, or an HTML page. I recommend saving as an HTML page.

You should then receive an Email to the address you have tied to you BZP account. Open it up, and save the attached file to your computer, or just keep it in your email until you need it.

So I've finally gone and done something I've been thinking about for a while. I've changed my name from Attei to serpent of fire, to match my Xbox Live gamertag. I'm taking down my at-sign avatar/seal not that it doesn't make any sense anymore. (You see Attei starts with "at" which is what the @ means...)

Since last Friday it has been really cold around here. We've had temperatures in the mid-twenties. It warmed up to the thirties today and it has been snowing everywhere. At work on Saturday I had to help move carts into the store, which I also did when I showed up this morning, which it turns out is a little harder when there is snow on the ground.

Now that I have a job and am not in school right now, I don't get any snow days. I haven't really been able to enjoy the snow like I used to. Those 8 hour shifts can really wear you out.

    And I wasn't hit by a car...

I was outside in the snow a little while ago, and I put a hand print on the car in the driveway. That led to another hand print. Then... well... This happened. As it turns out, snow really is cold.

Ok, I'll admit I was a bit worried when the series changed hands, but 343 made a game worthy of the name Halo. Already finished the campaign (Heroic), and it will be interesting to see where they take the series from there.
