    Commentary Is Fail

    I've been watching the Olympics again, like many others I assume. The one thing that ticks me off the most is the commentators. They have absolutely no idea what they're talking about, they think they can predict what's going to happen or how good they're going to do. They don't, and when they start talking down on a competitor that just bugs me and annoys me. I really wish there was an option to mute out commentary, they are just so lame.
     
    With that I have decided,
     
     
    = FAIL
     
     
    Oh and if I have to hear about how great Michel Phelps is I will go insane ><
     
    Other than that the Olympics are pretty cool. ( I really want to watch fencing )

    Olympic Fanfare

    Wow.
     
    Well the opening ceremony was pretty awesome, I really wish I was there, now that would have been spectacular. The architecture was incredible, the birds nest, the swimming area, and all the others is just jaw dropping to look at. I've been awaiting to see the finished products of these buildings since last year when they did an interview of Beijing on Discovery channel. The finished product did not disappoint.
     
    Now the ceremony was pretty interesting, many dazzling fireworks and various acts, one of my favorites was the scroll writing. I especially enjoyed the light drummers. ^^
     
    It did get rather annoying listing to those commentators though, I really never like it when people commentate things because they ramble on about stuff not necessary to listen to during important events like this. I know there has been some issues in China recently, but I really would have appreciated it if they would have left that out during the ceremonies and let China be respected for this great honor.
     
    Anyway enough politics, back to the ceremonies.
     
    I was very disappointed to have missed the torch lighting but from what herd it was really cool. I stopped watching during the flag run, until USA was up and then continued after that. Once that was done I stopped watching and just drew, but I have to say overall from what I saw, it was spectacular!
     
    The music was intense as well, I mean listing to Buglers Dream/Olympic Fanfare every 10 minuets, is always awesome. ^^

    Wow, I'll sum up today.
     
    Woke up, took a shower.
     
    Ate Lunch, Pizza Rolls
     
    Watched Bug's Life, Great Pixar movie, amazing music.
     
    Went to band, played three solos.
     
    Went home, Water Balloon fight, intense.
     
    Made a comic.

    Yes, It has finally happened, I can now offficially work on BZP (or anything else for that matter) from my laptop. ^^

    Well today was all over the place.
     
    I wake up at 4 a.m. to a throbbing headache, I got to the bathroom and put a soaking cold wet towel on my head hoping it will help. ( it didn't ) So I took two IB Prophin's and forced myself to sleep, how I don't know, I just realized I had fallen asleep after waking up at 9 a.m in the morning with my head hurting a little still.
     
    Anyway, took a shower, and ate an early lunch at 11, then was taken over to my girlfriends house so I could give her brother a Lesson. I did, he did really well, and I gave him a new piece of music to sight read which he did really well on, but he still needs to work on rhythm.
     
    Oh well, but during the lesson, he bent down from the couch to grab a piece of music that fell off the stand and while I was waiting for him to get it, I started to stare off out the window. Then I realized we were moving back and forth and I thought at first someone was moving the couch for some random reason. O.o then I realized it was an earthquake, I herd my girlfriend excitedly say "Earthquake!" and I started to laugh, and then looked over at her brother and we just laughed and waited for it to be over. It was kind of a weird earthquake, just lagging, it was just a slow shaking and it eventually got boring.
     
    Although, it wasn't boring for the people at the epicenter, I feel bad for them, the news finally confirmed later that it was a 5.4, and not 5.8, felt like a 2.7 from here.
     
    Anyway then I finished Doks comic entry, and drew some more.

    Dark Knight

    Well today I saw the Dark Knight, finally! ><
     
    Time to review and remember, this is my OPINION, so please bear with me.
     

    » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «Well the movie started out O-K, funny things here and there, I was totally expecting, the guy from the bank, for his jaw to be ripped out of his socket, but the string came off and the bomb thing and just ignited laughing gas. I thought this was very clever. 
    Then the rest of the movie was pretty good, although I think they could have done some more with the Joker, I did not like how they just ended with him dangling from a building.
     
    As for two face, GREAT job with him, but I wanted More! I was really disappointed that they built up this great character and killed him off so fast, he wasn't even much of a villain for Batman, he was more of a villain for Gordon. Oh well I guess thats the way it has to be, but overall, Joker Perfect character, Heath Ledger, may he rest in peace, was phenomenal.
    Bravo.
     
    The fight scenes however were very hard to follow since it was in dark, but that night vision sonar imagery, was fantastic.
     
    The movie was good, but my favorite super hero is still Iron-Man.
     
    4 out of 5 stars.
     
    I'm tired I think I will go to bed now...

    This is probably the one and only time, I'm not going to post a full detailed Blog entry under "Life", due to me being extremely tired.
     
    Although I will say I do love Double Western Bacon Cheeseburgers From Carl's Jr. Along with Criss-Cut fries and a coke, iced to perfection. (You can guess what I had for dinner today. ^^)

    Today was pretty good, but there are two main topics I want to address soon. ( but more on that later. )
     
    First, I want to say that getting out of the house is very nice when you've been cooped up at home for the past week, and the only time you get to get out is for 1 hour and play an instrument to then go back home and do the the same thing the next day.( You can obviously tell i've been doing this lately.) Well not today, my friends I actually got to go over to my girlfriends house, we played Ping-Pong with her brother, and talked about stuff too, then I helped her mom get her cars oil change, and was dropped off at my house to once again go back to routine, but at least I got out of the house for some sort of free time. I still feel really bad for my mom though, she's been cooped up in the house on crutches this entire week, but luckily the doctor said she should be getting the stitches out of her leg next Friday and a fast recovery should follow.
     
    Now to address my two topics.

    Help, Please Read!

    For my categories picture, (the one on the left that says Life, Universe, Everything, All Categories.)
     
    When I use Safari it's all one image and looks perfectly fine, but when ever I use internet explorer, there is 1 pixel separation line in between Life and Universe. When I highlight the image it looks like the line is coming form the Universe link, but I have no idea how to get rid of it and have it all one image on Safari and Internet explorer.

    Well today was actually a very nice day. I got to get out of the house finally and played with the summer band thing again. I may miss some other days, because of my mom, but hopefully not.
     
    Most of the day was comics, and creativity.
     
    I worked on this, since I'm going to open an artwork topic soon, when I finish the "Relax" picture ( hopefully tomorrow )
     
    Here's the header I worked on today, honestly didn't take me that long, a half hour tops.

    Sticky Note

    Don't you hate when your in your nice comfy bed, and a great idea pops into your mind, but it's about 2 a.m.
     
    Do you get up and write it down, or do you hope for the best and wait for tomorrow to see if you remember it then?
     
    I use Sticky Notes, they are a lifesaver. ( The #1 thing I learned from my 6th grade teacher. ^^ )

    Wow, today, what a day, probably the one of the scariest days of my life. Back to that soon.
     
    First I'll begin when I woke up to my alarm clock at 9:00 a.m. not remembering why I had to get up so early. Oh yes! the beach with Kotahn, thats right. So I lazily trudge out of my bed, and into the shower. I eat breakfast, got on my trunks, packed, and we're off to pick up Kotahn. I get to his house and his older sister who is in collage lets me in the door, and I see Kotahn frantically running to gather his things, including some soup, because he hadn't eaten. (He just got back from Cross-country practice.) Then we packed his things in the trunk and we were off to the beach.
     
    On the car ride there, we talked about random stuff, T.V., summer, family. Then we got there. Leo Carillo Beach.
     
    We parked, got out and unloaded our stuff. After that we walked down a ways, ( about 45 feet from the car ) to find the entrance. Then my Mom said lets go back the other way to find a different entrance. Sigh, thats when it happened, my mom turned around while carrying a bag, and a chair, and tripped in a pot-whole. She fell on her knees, and just sat there, and slumped her head down. At first I thought it was just out of embarrassment that she had fallen, but then I asked if she was ok, and she didn't answer and then I knew something was really wrong, I walked over to her and asked her again and she just shook her head, I helped her up and she was standing for about 15 seconds just standing in place until she fell down again, then she screamed in pain, and I saw her ankle and I knew, Dislocated. I had no idea what to do, I'm asking my mom, do you want me to call 911? Should I get one of the Life guards? She didn't answer me, so I told Kotahn to run and get a Life Guard as fast as he could, ( Thank god he's the fastest runner on Cross-country. ) I stayed with my mom and waited for him to come back, my sister started to cry, and I had to try and calm her, I don't blame her for crying, I would too, If I had no idea what was wrong with my mom, and she was just crying in pain. I got my mom some water, for her, and she drank that. Then Kotahn finally ran back, and close behind were two Lifeguard trucks. Phew.
     
    When they finally came, it was like a whole show, I told the Life Guards what happened, and they agreed that it was dislocated. Then my mom told Kotahn to take my sister out to the sand for a bit so she didn't have to watch. I stayed with my mom to make sure she was ok, getting the things the Life guards asked for. Then a fire-truck, red truck, ambulance and another Life guard car came up and all helped my mom. Eventually the friends we were supposed to meet up at the beach (my sisters friends mom's which were also my mom's friends. ) showed up and helped out my mom. they took Kotahn, My sister and I to the beach, while my mom went to the hospital, I made sure my mom would be ok, and then I told her good by as she left in the ambulance. I called my dad, of course my luck he was in a meting at Warner Bros. So I had to leave a message, once my mom left, Kotahn, my sister and I went down to the beach with my mom's friends. We planned it out, since one of the parents rode with another parent, she would dive us back in my moms car so we could get the car back. ( That was probably the second luckiest thing that day, next to having Kotahn there to help me. ) After we got all that situated Kotahn and I went back to the car to get the food we had packed for lunch. and happened to take a picture of the pot hole as well. hehe.

     
    After we got back to where we were sitting on the beach, me a Kotahn ate lunch, and talked about random stuff, Life, BZP, ideas, jokes. I kept a keen eye on my sister like I promised my mom, and I kept checking my cell to make sure I hadn't missed a call form anyone. Later after taking pictures and relaxing in the sun, my Uncle called and gave me the info about what was going on. My mom had apparently fractured her right angle on both sides of it. Sigh... I felt terrible. Luckily he said she was ok, my dad was with her which made me feel a lot better.
     
    After that we stayed at the beach for a couple of hours, and then went home. After getting home, I gave my sister a shower, and then I told Kotahn he was staying for dinner for all of the help he did. I ordered pizza. It was good, then we played Wii ( MarioKart.) Then he went home because I had to put my sister to bed. Finally mom and dad came home, and my mom was on crutches. Lets just say she doesn't like them. It looks like I'm going to be taking care of her for the next couple of weeks while her leg heals. Sigh, oh well, on a happier note my girlfriends back from vacation and I get to see her tommorow. yay!
     
    Well, I'm off to rest I have a head ache and I'm very exhausted, and I smell like saltwater. Scratch resting, I'm taking a shower.

    Wow, talk about a lot of work today.
     
    Well first I woke up at 9:25 a.m. strangely the first one up which usually never happens since my sister is usually always up around 8:15 a.m, but I guess swimming tires you out, because there she was snoozing away when I checked on her. Oh well. I did my chores and then Turned on my computer. After that I worked on my Sunday comic. Finished that posted it, and then I was off to get a head start on the Filler for my comics, as well. Thats 2 out of 4 comics done. Now all I have left is Dok's contest entry and my next Filler. After that I had some breakfast. then took a shower. after that I started to work on this program called Sibelius, which writes music on the computer, I wrote out the theme from Letters from Iwo Jima for Trumpet. Then I had lunch.
     
    After that I decided to ink my drawing. Then I read and took some notes, then Kotahn came back from his long trip and I talked to him on the phone for awhile to catch up.
     
    Once done I worked one my Drawing, and then made a new categories image, Like? I think it fits pretty well, oh and I switched what it say on the first content block, it used to say "Welcome."
    Thats pretty much it, now I'm off to read and do more note taking.
     
    Tomorrow I'm going to the beach with Kotahn , Chaa..
