  1. I see what you did there. :P

Originally I was going to attach Stringer's chestplate to Technic Tahu, but when i tried it out, the results were less than satisfactory. Since I was dealing with 2010 Hero Factory parts, I encountered some difficultly...maybe I should redesign him now with some of the new Hero Factory parts...

Cool, if I can decide on a title then I can refer to it much more quickly than "the story of Khadaz and Amy's wedding"!

  2. Yeah, but Hasook's absence is what allowed Korra to join the team, so it seems like a good thing in my opinion.

It'll be interesting to see how all the little Airbenders develop as characters. While I do have a grudge towards Ikki, I doubt she'll become Azula-level evil. :P (Although their mother's line about wanting a non-bender child makes me suspicious of her...)

  3. My main concern with limitations on PvP battles is that I don't want them to drag on for too long. I don't know how often I or the players will be able to post, and a nine on nine Spirit fight could really crawl along even if updated frequently. Maybe I'll increase it a little, though...

I was thinking of just letting you Track the Freres normally. They're only found around Chaos City (or Wyvern City with a Dimensional Inverter), they all have 200 FE and would require a maxed out charge, and their effects won't activate until you have the Rahaga Code. But I could make side-quests if you want...and perhaps Language Supreme could be a side-quest...

I thought Wisdom City sounded too Psionic-like, and I wanted to avoid confusion. None of the related alternatives souned that good, so I'm using Kaita City for now.

  4. Maybe I could alter the item system in some way?

As for dividing the Elements, I knew that I wanted to reference Akamai and Wairuha in the mascots and starting cities, so I put Akamai's Elements in one Version and Wairuha's Elements in the other. For the mascots, I knew I wanted each of them to have one of the new Elements, and also for Rahaga and Dragon to be used on opposite mascots since they're the two, for lack of a better term, "Super Elements". Light and Shadow obviously had to be separated, and that just left Steel and Thunder, so I separated them too. As for how I matched them up...well, I don't think I had a real system for partnering them together. I do have a habit of making things up as I go along, after all. :D

  5. Okay, I'll implement a limit on number of Spirits. Maybe it'll start low but go up a bit with each Level...

How about this: at Level 1, you'll be able to use up to three Spirits in battle, and every time you defeat an Element-Lord (save for the final one) you'll gain an extra slot, meaning that after taking down 6 Element-Lords you'll be able to use up to 8 Spirits in battle. After defeating the final Element-Lord, you will obtain a ninth Spirit slot, but it can only be filled by the Version Mascot (for very specific reasons to be explained later).

  6. Not sure how they'll do the typing with these new forms. If I hear anything new, it'll probably be in a blog entry/comment.

I'm interested by the break with tradition. Now the rivalry between players of opposing Versions can continue like never before!

I actually don't know anything about Xenoblade. May look into it at some point, but my gaming schedule looks pretty full for the rest of the year...

  7. I would go through the trouble of learning German because I would feel cool if I knew a bunch of languages. Probably won't happen, though...

Meh, I wasn't planning a whole lot for the XT4 Spirit. If he has important story connections, then maybe he'll end up special.

    Vapor accepts your challenge!

I DO disrespect Voltix! I disrespect him much, mwa-ha-ha!!

  8. I figured that if I could make a cluster of dead trees sound beautiful, everything else would be easy. :P

As for the terms, Keizah suggested detailing some of the terminology on one of the websites, and I will definitely do that soon(ish). To answer your question: the Cushion Jelly modifier is applied to blocking techniques, and means that it cannot be pierced by ANY means (it is the ultimate block); and the Calix modifier is applied to dodging techniques, meaning that it allows the user to avoid even 'perfect accuracy' and 'Sanok' techniques (it is the ultimate dodge). I plan to make the difference between blocking techniques and dodging techniques more obvious in future Spirits, rather than just using 'defense' for all of them (although there are some defensive techniques that don't fall into either category).

The sub and super modifiers were to add extra complexity, but have since been abandoned. If I get the time, I may go back through the old Spirits using those terms and remove them.

  9. Since the normal Freres can only be obtained near the final city in VioletRose, and they can't be abused quite as much as they are in the Books, I was thinking it would be alright to just leave them with normal restriction. As for the Purified Freres...I may have to consider that, thank you for mentioning it.

  10. The difference between 'cannot miss' and 'Sanok-level' is that the former can still be avoided using dodge techniques, where a Sanok move ignores these techniques. A die roll would not be used for either.

    Yeah, I remember that...but if I ever get a Bioni-Lords RPG through...mwa-ha-ha...

I was planning to let them take on the other Version, yes. Once they completed both, I was thinking of coming up with some special post-game scenario, but I haven't given much thought to that yet for obvious reasons.
