    2009 Sets

    Okay. I normally try not to complain about the sets, but I can't resist here.
     
    I hate them.
     
    Well, thats a bit strong.
     
    I dislike them.
     
    First off, they have a strange Knights Kingdom feel to them which I dislike.
     
    Also, once again, to a large extent, they are clones!
     
    The small sets are pretty much just re-colors of the avatoran (entry on the conjugation of prefix+matoran coming soon ), and the canister sets use the inika skeleton again.
     
    On the mocing side of things, I see myself getting much of these.
    The return of tan is wonderful, plus light-blue.
    The re-colors will also be great for mocing.
    Keetorange and metru-blue feet, lime green blades, feet, etc... A black Brutaka blade, tan piraka feet, gold inika should armor and thigh armor.... tish nice.
     
    I don't like the new hand pieces, they just don't fit my taste.
     
    My main complaint is that the masks don't work with the current mask style. I was hoping that in computer terms, it would be cross-compatible.
     
    On to the blow by blow (it blows).
     
    Atakus - meh. Avatoran clone - a face only a mother could love.
     
    Berix - meh. Nice recolors, the tahu mata sword and feet would be nice to have.

    Gresh - meh. A bit to Knights Kindomy for me. Once again, the re-colors could be put to use. Did anyone notice that the hand piece in the shield is one of the pre-2008 ones? These were designed a while back.
     
    Malum - *shudders*
     
    Metus - meh. Colors could be useful.
     
    Raanu - meh. The blades and feet could be put to use.
     
    Skrall - IMO, worse than Malum. Reminds me of Vladek.
     
    Strakk - meh. the head and armor are impractical for mocing, and I don't see any good re-colors.

    Tarix - A bit too Knights Kingdom, but all the same, gold re-colors plus mata blue feet = om nom nom.
     
    Tuma - not sure what to think. The re-colors are good, the face is fugly. It's a run-of-the-mill titan.

    Zesk - Avatoran clone. But, TAN!

    A Hidden Meaning

    I think I have found a meaning to my life, for a long time I have felt misguided, chasing dreams that are to far away. John Lennon died in his stand for peace, it is the same with many other radicals.
    What is the point?
     
    Right now I am at a family friends house. There are three children at the age of six, three toddlers. The toddlers laughed, played, and sang. I find it that the youngest of people, those who are not exposed to the outside world with its influences in their younger years, are the embodiment of innocence. When I watched them, and played with them at their request, I felt something I had not in a long time, love. In my life I find that that is a hidden meaning in the seemingly cold void of our world. You could say it is a light in the dark.
    I have felt hopeless during this horrible war, the U.S, one of the most powerful countries in the world is now torturing Iraqi prisoners. I think you understand why I feel depressed.Back in the time of John Lennon, during the Vietnamese war, the community of young in the U.S and many other places revolted. Why is that not happening now? It should be. Call me radical, loony, crazy, anything you want. I do'nt care, I am used to it, my heart has been hardened to stone by this war. I think it has finally opened back up.

    Our Language arts teacher thinks of the weirdest assignments ever, today she told us to write a protagonist vs. antagonist 1 page story ABOUT ANIMALS! I mean, seriously, wth is that about? Weirdest assignment ever!
    Here is what I wrote:
     
    There was once a cat, called Cat Mc. Mac, who was crazed, insane, and obsessed with hats. He guarded his house, day-in, day-out, from anything small, even a mouse. He would try to jump upon the human passer-by, but alas, for he could not jump that high.He harmed the animals from far and near. So soon, everybody learned the true meaning of fear. Then one day, there came a rat, a veteran of a previous spat. The rat, challenged Cat, to yet another spat! so Cat Mc. Mac, with the help of Bat von Hat, beat Rat, in another excruciating spat. So soon after Bat and Cat Mc. Mac beat the Rat, all that was left of him was nothing but scraps! So Cat Mc. Mac, continued to guard his house, from all but Bat. Cat also continued on his obsession of hats. Soon off flew Bat, wearing one of Cat's many hats. Thus Cat Mc. Mac, and Bat von Hat, lived happily ever after in the towns of Hat ad Mat.

    Ambition

    There is always something to move onto, no matter what I've accomplished. If I find something I wish to do, my other accomplishments seem trivial to me. IT SUCKS.
     
    And now, when I'm a member of an active software company made up of others my age, who are very similar to me in these characteristics, attempt to do something that we can't do. Why? Money. And thus, age.
     
    The shackles of age have followed me in everything I've done. From COPPA, to Paypal, to people belittling my age and achievements because they're older. Gits.
     
    I'm sick of it.

    Back To The Basics

    Well, I'm working on a totally new mocing project, which I'm calling "Back to the Basics." In This, I will be attempting to re-moc every set, or at least one of every clone set, up to 2004. This includes Rahi, Toa, etc. I already have a new matoran design I'm going to use, and It'll be nice.
     
    I've already finished Tahu, Jala, Huki, Onepu, Takua, and Matoro. There are a few more Matoran I'll do along the way, from MNOLG and MNOLG 2. I'm also doing the ussals from MNOLG, etc.
    Just some teasers, plus two Mctoran I put together for fun (Matoro has two of the same arms because the normal one is really dirty...).

    Does anybody have a good backup app for macs? About a month ago I got one of their new Macbooks, and it has some cosmetic issues... I have to ship it back and there is a chance of data loss... So I have been backing up all my data manually... IT IS A NIGHTMARE

    Beta Testing

    Oh my gosh... Oh my gosh... Oh my gosh... As a cocoa and html/css/javascript coder, I have been chosen as a beta tester for the mac FTP program Flow (one of 50, the site's forums are only for beta testers, so I can mention the name), A certain TV over IP mac program WHICH IS AWSOME, an iTunes controller for mac called Artwork, a certain beta of a vector artwork editor, a set of stock icons by Olivier Chatel, and a certain miniature blogging/social network... OH MY GOSH IT IS AWSOME! :D

    Bionicle Media Center

    Okay. This is epic. Very epic.
    With all the free time on my hands, I decided to try and code some things which I havn't messed with before.
     
    For instance, a media center.
     
    The flash episodes (with working scripts), the ghost animations, vahki animations, and whatever games I can get working. This will be epic.
     
    btw, yes, I do have working 2002-2003 episodes, which are not protected.
