Yes. I got a shining Raikou today at Gamestop. I was dumb enough to not figure out that you had to pre-order Pokemon Black or White to get the shining dogs. Whatever. I was going to get the game eventually anyway.

You need all three shining doggies to unlock a certain Pokemon in White & Black. So I guess it's worth a $5 payment.

Maybe I can hold on to it just in case Nikira needs it.

    Vapours Trail
    Part One

Professor Nathaniel Zib looked away from his work for a brief moment. He felt as though his main processor would explode. Even though Von Nebula and four of his henchbots had been captured, and a major threat had been lifted. There were still criminals to find, and crimes to stop.

One of these criminals was a bad bot named Vapour, who was said to be one of Von Nebulas remaining henchbots. Being affiliated with Von Nebula, Hero Factory HQ had decided to post him near the top of their most wanted list. Any information or sightings of Vapour were to be reported directly to Zib and Quaddle. Any remnants of Von Nebula’s threat had to be dealt with quickly.

Zibs holoscreen lit up with a similar light and sound that drew his attention quickly to an alert. “Well I’ll be” he said aloud. Quaddle glanced at him from his own station in curiosity. “ Vapour’s finally been spotted Quaddle. We need to send a Squad to capture him before we lose him.” Zib brought up the Hero grid to find the right squad for this mission. They would need to have experience with dealing with villains of this magnitude. His thoughts went directly to Alpha Team and the new Hero team lead by Furno. He brought up their team status’s hoping for good results. Furno’s team was currently on a mission, and Alpha Team had returned from a mission just over an hour ago. It seemed however that Dunkan Bulk had been recharged since then. “Quaddle?” Zib asked. “Do you think Bulk will be able to bring in Vapour by himself?” Quaddle gave a shrug in uncertainty, and waited for Zibs final decision. There was no choice. Vapour wouldn’t wait forever. “Fine. Bring Bulk here to be mission briefed. He’ll need to be refitted to deal with Vapours chemical weapons.” Quaddle quickly went to work readying the tech needed. “We need to hurry.” Zib said with a hint of desperation in his voice. “So this Von Nebula business can finally be put to rest.”

Even though it's almost the end of 2010, and the one thing that brought us together ended this year. Lets not think of the sadness that endings bring, but the beginnings that brought us to the things that we loved and enjoyed. Here's to a brand new year, and more joyous beginnings.

    Happy New Year!

WARNING: This review has a good amount of nitpicking. Please don't take my opinion too seriously.

    Heroes:
The Heroes were a mixed bag of hits and misses. How about positives first? I thought that the personal armor decals were a cool idea, and I like the new armor and how they connect to the new joints. I think what everyone is most excited about is the return of the color Purple. Which we haven't seen since 2001. The weapons seemed weird to me. Shields with spikes and tubes? Alright. Breez and Surge are the only two heroes with two hands. Another things that I'm wondering is why the heads and Hero Cores aren't see through anymore. It's kinda saddening to see them go. The headgear doesn't seem necessary, especially when you can't even recognize Breez as a Female anymore. My biggest problem is the random armor placement. This is probably the most random armor placement I've ever seen. My guess is that someone complained so much about how uniform the sets were, and how the Heroes in 2010 looked the same that designers thought. "You want diversity? You got it!", and slapped different armor all over the place. So the only Hero we have that looks close to subtle is Stormer. One more thing is that there's little poseability with the shield weapons. The biggest problem is Furno's right arm. You can't move it up. You have to twist it around to where you can't see the decal anymore. Who thought that was a good idea?

    Villains:
Pretty silly names, but interesting ideas I suppose. They look fun and cool on the box, but sadly there's more to these sets then meets the eye. First of all these Villains aren't even close to being as cool as the 2010 Villains. All of them are a mixture of red, black, silver, and gunmetal gray. Not really any new or interesting weapons. Just claws and flames jutting out of armor. New armor and evil Hero cores I guess, are sprinkled all over. Plus for some reason the Thornax Launcher has been resurrected once again as the Magma Blaster. Nitroblast and Drilldozer have two arms that make just one arm. Not only is this unnecessary, but it limits the one arms movement. The new heads are double sided too, so I guess if you wanted to make different villains in other colors you could. Nitroblast, like Furo has a arm that is unposeable. Armor just covers it in a way that it barley moves.
So yeah. The villains this winter kinda suck. Jet Bug's alright though.

    Fire Lord:
Why does every head boss of any LEGO action figure series have to be black? Makuta, Lord Valdek, Von Nebula, and now Fire Lord. Just armor on the side of the legs, and big spot left on the front. No new weapons, and badly placed armor. Probably the worst Titan set ever.

These new sets seem almost like a joke. I know LEGO can do better than this. I guess they were just testing out how the new joints and armor would work for kids and builders. I just wish they wouldn't have done it this way. It seems that these sets were made for MOCers more than kids or collectors. What with all the new parts and colors.

I don't hate the new sets, I had fun building them like I always have building LEGO and are posing them as I'm writing this review. I'm just disappointed. They look good (most of them), but that doesn't mean they play or pose good. I hope that the summer sets will be a step up from this.

    Thanks for reading.

I had read the The Chronicles of Narnia series in middle school, but it seems I had forgotten a great deal of what I had read back then.

The story to me moved pretty fast, and I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. The characters were alright, but not astounding. I think the remaining two main characters had a decent amount of character development, but a a lot of it seemed that it was about not being jealous of their older brother or sister. The cousin was annoying at first (I'm guessing he was supposed to be), and of course his character develops as well. Everyone else like Caspian and Aslan were cool but I can't really think of much to say about them. The overall theme of the movie was conquering your fears. Other than that it felt like an island hopping adventure. Each island presented a different challenge that brought the threat of death to our heroes. It felt a little like a video game.

The effects were pretty darn good. Characters like minotaurs and other mythical creatures I felt blended in well. So the animation stood out for me. Also the settings and props were nice too. It reminded me of a Harry Potter setting. Like when they use a green screen background.

Anyway. My final impression is that the movie was fun and enjoyable, but not very memorable. It feels like it was a story told before, but perhaps those stories were based off of stories like this one. I don't think I would I would have seen it if I weren't invited, but I'm glad I was. If you go to see this movie, I hope you enjoy it.

I've been wondering what I can write about. Like stuff I've found or things I've done. I feel like I'm a bland person. I can't come up with witty comments or funny random blogs. It seems all I can do is state my opinions on certain subjects or relay certain information. Maybe it's the aspergers, I don't know. Whatever. I'll share with you what news I've accumulated over time.

At BrickFair I ordered some bricks to have my name printed on them. The machine broke and I was told they would send me the finished product in the mail. I waited weeks to months and eventually gave up on them ever coming. Well guess what? They came in November... So I guess they forgot until then, or it takes them 4 months to print on bricks.

Just about finished my Dark Hunter Darkness model. Only missing 2 gray Gali hooks for the feet. Trading Topic is doing well. Thankfully every once and a while I'll get a new customer and they keep my topic alive. Almost to 50 pages. Think I might have a contest or something.

Played Dead Space to take a brake from Halo Reach. It was great, and now I'm excited about the sequel. Also bought the Halo Reach dlc. Only have 2 dlc achievements right now. A little harder than the original ones. How far away do you have to be for the DMR kill?!

Almost done with first semester of college! Only 2 more tests!

Lots of other stuff to say, but I think I may have said enough already. I may write more reviews soon for fun. Only time will tell.

    Thanks for reading.

Halo Mega Bloks is cool btw.

I decided to purchase the dvd and see for myself if the successor for Bionicle could have a entertaining movie. Well the movie is episodic, obviously for the reason to make it for tv more than a home movie release. Even if it's not. The Hero Factory movie feels a heck of a lot longer than any Bionicle movie.

Just like in The Legend Reborn, the animation was great. What I love the most of all is how close the characters in the movie represent the toys. When I was a kid and watched the first three Bionicle movies, I always imagined how they would have turned out if they had actually animated them like the sets. To my surprise I feel no need to do that with this movie.

The voice acting was also surprised me to an extant. The Hero's voices were good choices, but the villains seemed generic and stereotypical. Thunder is strong and dumb, so give him an Russian accent! Yeah... The voice that surprised me and that I never expected was Meltdowns. His voice and actions portrayed him as a smart villain, whereas I thought he would be more on a Devastator intelligence level. My biggest interest was Mark Hamil as Von Nebula. It was an interesting choice, but why him? Whenever I heard him speak. All I could think of was the Joker from Batman The Animated Series. So a hit and miss on voice acting.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «The story? Well it seemed to mostly involve Furno's adventures to impress Stormer, and everyone else making references to the Von Ness mission. Ooooooo. What happened on this mission? Well Von Ness ran away when the ###### hit the fan and a giant Bionicle MOC was blowing stuff up. So that makes him a rouge? That makes no sense. He would be more of a wimp than a rogue. The final battle was disappointing too. All that happens is that the villains run out of ammo, and Von Nebulla gets sucked into his black hole staff. That's all. Oh yeah, and Furno becomes the team leader of the rookies.
My biggest complaint is Surge. He's just an annoying clone of Berix. Same look, same helmet, same annoying character and voice.

So what does all this add up to? Well I enjoyed this movie. I liked how the characters developed, as well as the Hero HQ talk. Of course there was a lot of annoying things like Corroder's laugh, and how no one could hit the broad side of a barn. But hey, it's a kids movie advertising toys. So don't knit pick your brains out. Alright?

Well that's my two cents. I hope you enjoyed this review, and thanks for reading.

Not too excited about Hero Factory from these pics, but I'm always excited about new figures.

    Hero's:
2.0 eh? Couldn't think of a Toa Nuva-ish name LEGO? Tisk tisk. You'll loose points for that.
I'm disappointed that Stringer and Bulk were shoved off to the sidelines. I liked them more than the other Heroes actually. I'm guessing we won't be seeing them next year even in the story. Stormers alright. He looks like a mini Kopaka. Evo and Nex look interesting. I think it's the first time black isn't around. But hey, purples back! After what, ten years?
The Rookies? Goodness. They look awful. How could they make such cool helmets in 2010, and make such ugly ones in 2011? Furno's got goggles, Surge looks like he's wearing headgear from a Jackal Sniper, and Breez looks like a medieval dark knight.

    Villains:
Like this year. The villains look much more fun to build. But also like this year, their names are uninspired. Jetbug. Lol. Reminds me of Stinkfly. Fire Lord isn't as cool as Von Nebula. Doesn't have that cool of a name either. (Even though Von Nebula is a silly name.) If you haven't noticed the theme for the baddies is fire. Just making sure.

Why are they still using Thornax Launchers?

That's my first impression. Opinion may change over time.
    Thanks for reading.

Just got back today. If you don't know, a Klondike Derby is when different Boy Scout troops come together and compete to see who has the greatest skills.

I was a staff member again this year. A Field Marshal actually. And did other objectives to help the competition run smoothly.

A patrol in my troop won first prize this year. Which is great! My troop also won the Troop Challenge.

But it was freezing on Grandfather Mountain, and snowy, and windy!

Hello fellow BZP members. You may remember from a few months ago I made BZP T-shirts for BrickFair for members to wear and enjoy. (still have some left btw).

However. Did you ever wonder, could there be more BZP T-shirts? With new designs, and in various sizes and in abundant supply? Wells here's where you can voice you opinion. I have been presented an opportunity to make shirts with my own equipment that I can acquire. But I won't agree to the offer unless I can have a mass market. Would anyone be interested in buying BZP T-shirts with new designs and in different colors?

Hopefully I'll be able to make shirts for BrickFair next year as well, but wouldn't it be fun to wear a different BZP shirt everyday?!

Please leave a comment with your thoughts, and let others know! BZP shirts need your help to return!

    Giant Bird

This random creature flew into the series in Godzilla vs. The Sea Monster. Special powers? You're seriously not going to ask that question are you? It's a bird! It's not Rodan or Varan. It's just a GIANT CONDOR. What did it do? Well it pecked at Godzillas face for about a minute, then proceeded to get roasted by atomic breath. (What did you expect?) Not only is this the worst monster in the series, it's also the worst monster fight in the series. The camera angles were awful, and it ended as fast as it started.

As James Rolfe put it. "Should have been The Giant Claw." Link

That's it for this top ten list. I hope you enjoyed it. I apologize if you didn't agree with some of my choices, and have a great Halloween.
  13. Brappy Hour
    Hedorah
Hedorah appeared in Godzilla vs. Hedorah (Godzilla vs. The Smog Monster for older fans). He also got his butt kicked in Godzilla Final Wars. Anyway Hedorah is literally made of pollution. Slimey gunky nasty filthy disgusting pollution. He can transform into a flight mode and back to a pile of filth. He blinded Godzilla with nasty goo and turned people into skeletons by dispersing toxic gas into the air. Obviously Hedorah isn't a very likable or a cool monster. He's too disgusting to be enjoyed. Just like the horrible movie he was featured in.
  14. Brappy Hour
    Kumonga

Kumonga was also in Son of Godzilla, as well as being re-vamped in Final Wars. But he was also in Destroy All Monsters. He shoots webs, and that's it.... Just like Kamacurus he's on the fail scale because he's just a GIANT SPIDER. So there's not much else to say.

All we need now is some GIANT GRASSHOPPERS, and we can have a giant insect food web. (Don't worry, there aren't any.)
  15. Brappy Hour
    Kamacuras

Kamacuras flew into the scene in Son of Godzilla, and was re-vamped in Godzilla Final Wars. He can use camouflage and fly at super fast speeds. What's wrong with this monster? He's a GIANT MANTIS. That's it. A giant bug. It doesn't take too much creativity to super-size a bug. And seriously. If you never saw these movies, would you even believe that Godzilla fought a giant bug? It doesn't matter if Kamacurus is cool. It's lack of creativity.
  16. Brappy Hour
    Zilla

Zilla or American Godzilla was featured it the U.S. remake of Godzilla. All that this monster is, is a mutated giant Iguana, that's it. Some feel that this monster was so disappointing, that he didn't even deserve the title Godzilla. So Toho renamed the monster Zilla. Plus he was featured in Godzilla Final Wars, getting disintegrated in seconds by the real Godzilla. He's not that awful of a monster. He looks kind of cool actually. You'll see worse soon.

I guess next time we make a U.S. design of Godzilla, we should use some creativity.
  17. Brappy Hour
    Jet Jaguar

Jet Jaguar fought alongside Godzilla in Godzilla vs. Megalon. The best description of him is that he's a robot built by a child that can change sizes and fight. Well that sounds just plain silly. He also has a weird look to him, but that's because he was actually designed by a 10 (or younger, idk) year old for a design a character contest. So that's why Jet Jaguar's on the list. He's just a silly monster. Sorry to any Jet Jaguar fans!
  18. Brappy Hour
    Gorosaurus
Gorosaurus made his first debute in King Kong Escapes, where he fought against Kong. Much like the original King Kong film. He also made an appearance in Destroy All Monsters, and other Godzilla films. He's most know for his gravity defying Kangaroo Kick! Gorosaurus is on the list mainly because because of his blandness. He's a Dinosaur, and that's about it. Actually I like him a lot, but still. He's not all that special. Sorry Gorosaurs.

Bionicle Raptor's Top 10 Worst Godzilla Monsters!

That's right! In honor of Halloween, The Godzilla Top 10 has returned! But this year. Instead of my favorites though, we'll take a look at the ones that failed to impress. So check back for Bionicle Raptor's Top 10 Worst Godzilla Monsters!

Now I know what you're thinking. Why am I talking about next years BrickFair? Well I felt inspired by all the wonderful exhibits and excellent diorama like settings. I'm hoping to create my own for next year! I'd love to make an exhibit that visitors and other BZPers would enjoy!

I need your help though! here's my two ideas so far.

Dinosaur theme park setting (aka Jurassic Park). With fencing between exhibits, visitor areas, and much more!

Or recreation of a Dino Attack scene. Using the sets and custom built destroyed city buildings to resemble the dramatic apocalyptic time of 2010!

Please let me know what you think, and ask others what they think of these ideas as well.

    Thanks for reading.

Wow. I haven't wrote anything in a short while. I missed you all.

So yes. I went to my OA Fall Fellowship this weekend. Lots of preparation of the camp is needed, since we're hosting The Dixie Fellowship next year. So my troop decided to renovate one of the camp staff cabins so that we'll be able to have a nice place to stay during the event.

We spent the whole day hauling old furniture out, dumping out the mouse nests out of the drawers of dressers. Also tearing up the rugs, and cleaning the floors. We also had to pull out a million nails that were jutting out of the walls. (Man, the camp staff treat camp property like rubbish.) And yes. Yours truly had the pleasure of kicking down some unneeded walls to make more room. Other jobs included cleaning gutters, spray painting the fireplace black, and cleaning widows.
Next time we'll work on painting the inside!

That's all for now. Thanks for stopping by!

Seconed Look Used this for the later majority of time I've played.

Finally got my favorite helmet back. So glad it made it into Reach. Took a while to rank up, but the journey was fun and the reward is worth it.

Now to work toward a gold visor.

I hope everyone is having as much fun as I am!
