  1. Indeed. They're both done very well, and I'd probably have votedfor Ven's if he had posted it in time.

Venom: Excellent usage of shadows. Your comics are very visually appealing. The thing that especially caught my eye for some reason was the perspective you used on Lhikan's swords in the second comic.

Kahi: Your photorealism reminds me of Ennar's Irreversible series. The storyline strikes me as something that could actually be the subject of a TV show.

    Again, well done.

  2. It certainly seems that way. Apparently you don't get attention if you're not being incredibly unoriginal.

Let's see, if using sprite kits made by other people equals unoriginality, then using a pencil YOU didn't make yourself, and using graphite YOU didn't mine yourself, and drawing on paper YOU didn't make yourself, and drawing using the shapes and techniques that YOU didn't develop on your own with NO outside influence from other artists, then you too are completely unoriginal.

You can't say that we're unoriginal. Our stories are our own, our jokes are our own, and our characters are our own.

Sorry for not taking the time to spend five hours developing my own way of organizing pixels into a resolveable character shape.

  3. I agree with Kardas...I don't want people to vote for the most famous guy just because he's famous.

Hand-drawn or sprited may the best author win.

And look, Brickee; Just because someone uses a different medium to make comics dosen't mean they put less effort or skill into it. That'd be like saying a guitarist isn't a musician if he can't play the piano.

  4. Dragon fly, Dragaen Flai, Draginfli, etc. etc.

Personally, I think that's slightly more feminine than "Toa Mata Nubie," and I think a change in sprite wouldn't hurt either. Your colors are fine, unless you want to orient them with your ponidentity. The mask is the biggest thing, really. I'm not trying to stereotype and suggest you wear a KauKau, I just think it's fairly masculine.

Name: A name change would be good, since the term "Nubie" can be viewed as slightly derogatory nowadays. :P

  5. Aww...that gets me right here. *Hoofthump to heart area*

I think you said everything there is to be said about MirMir. And you're absolutely right. We would all welcome her back.

Mir, you were...dangit, you are an amazing comic maker, an amazing person, and an amazing friend. I'll miss you and your work.

But, hey, that's what Skype's for, right? :P

  6. Sorry I wasn't able to make it. I had to discuss it with my parents first and I didn't make it in time. :(

'C'you come next time though? It was WICKED fun.

    :s::s:

    Yes it was.

I'm totally PUMPED to hear it.

Although, it's too bad that you'll have to edit so much of it.

PHUN PFACKT: The unedited version is almost 100 minutes in length. It will be included on the Director's Cut of the DVD.

What Darc is trying to say is you should've been there!

Which is to say you should NOT, under ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, should've been there. Unless you have two hours of free time. :P

Since I don't have a Mic I might have to speak through Text-To-Speech when I join a recording and just have to deal with sounding like Stephen Hawking :P

Eh... Perhaps not. :P If you do get a mic, feel free to join us. ^_^

Anyway, I've hit a minor setback. I'm still working on the 'cast banner. That and the fact that I had to delete the intro due to copyright laws, and I needed to find a new host website because the two I tried previously (Brickshelf and Soundclick) couldn't take the files. Any suggestions as to where I should host 'em?

EDIT: I'll be using zSHARE for now, so here's the link to episode one for now. Starring:

    Shadonix (Main Host)

    Darcsyde (Main Host)

    LNU (GIMP Help Host)

Gatotak (Artwork III News Host [unprepared])

    Autodude (Minor Host [Late])

    Kohu (Minor Host [Late])

    Kahinuva (Guest Host/Interviewee [Late])

    Enjoy!

    :s::s:

    Alright! Listening now. B)

  8. Sounds cool, has potential.

I'm still going for Humva/Hat Guy, though, personally, because I've already got a specific storyline for that setting:

As the twenty-second century started, humans united into a single democratic nation for the first time, and there was no war. For two hundred years, people spread through the solar systems, colonizing planets and moons and asteroids and orbital cities. But after these two hundred years, a rebellion arose against Earth, for a variety of reasons, and took much of the outer solar system- and what didn't join was conquered into the rebels' totalitarian society. Then the asteroid belt was invaded, and a war had been going on between Earth and Ganymede (the rebel capital) for control of the asteroid belt ever since.

    This. But add aliens.

Aliens? I dunno about that. I'd be more open to mutants/augments than aliens...

    Still, thanks for the support!

Not so much a surreal, LGM-tpe "UFO", but a more logical species.
