  1. Rejoice, for I am now actually working on intenet-based multiplayer programming.

  2. Hey, can I take from your post in the desktop thread that you're familiar with the Touhou series of games?

Nothing important, no. Still, it's annoying. We should probably use PMs for any future conversation. :)

Quick question: I see half of my comments trail off at the end, but there is no button (on my screen, at least) to expand them. Are you able to read the last part of them?

Well, from what I can see Touhouvania plays almost identical in physics to Symphony of the night, just saying, if you like the feel of it.

As for characters, let's see... I like Marisa, due to her antics. Thieving little witch with an attitude. :D Remilia as well, at least her plotline in Hisoutensoku was pretty funny to me. I also like Reisen, perhaps for being a blazer-wearing bunny girl with (literally!) crazy laser powers. I also like each of these character's theme...

There have been more recent Castlevania games on the DS as well as Playstation 3, XBOX 360 and PSP. :) The series is not as well-known as Mario, of course, but it's still big. Symphony of the Night, as well as Super Metroid, actually coined the term "Metroidvania"; referring to a game in which you back and forth and gather upgrades in order to reach new areas of one massive "world map". Both Dracula's castle (the "Castlevania" of the title) and planet Zebes fro...

It's Touhou and Castlevania, silly. :D Go look up that as well, it's a good series (especially Symphony of the Night, Aria of Sorrow, Circle of the Moon and the NES classic in my humble opinion).

Yeah, I've heard some of their stuff. It's good. There's also IOSYS, who switches between epic guitar ("Sparkling Slash", a remix of Marisa's theme, is just fantastic in my book) and crazy silly vids like "Overdrive". XD

Ah, there's also "Touhouvania". I really want to play those, but I haven't gotten around to it yet given my other games that need to be finished.

Yup, to an extent at least. I know the major characters and some of the fandom around them, and I have played that fighting game, Touhou Hisoutensoku. I have not played any of the "main games", though that is because I suck at danmaku games. I loved the concept of one crossed with Street Fighter, though, so there I went. Oh, and I love the music and its remixes. :D

  10. Our hero, our hero, claims a warrior's heart. I tell you, I tell you: the Dragonborn comes; with a voice wielding power of the ancient Nord arts. Believe, believe: the Dragonborn comes.

  11. Playing games or making games? Ah, the dilemma of a programmer. The former usually wins.

  12. Does anyone else listen to heavy metal while coding?
