PC Collector's Edition is only $70. But there's nothing particularly exciting, like the bobblehead that came with FO3. But still, it's only $20 for exclusive things that won't be released again. Ahhhh, I don't know whether I want the collector's edition or not.
PC Gamer chatted with Robin Walker who revealed some great news.
A new update within a month.
It will include:
A new gamemode.
The Polycount weapons. Including all winning packs, as well as one that hasn't been announced yet. (idk if it's a winner they kept secret, or if they only recently decided to include it)
... Okay, so it doesn't sound as good as "five dollar foot longs." GET OVER IT. plzkthx Ultimately, 5 bucks for AC was too great (or rather too little ) to resist. It's currently downloading at a rate of about 90 kb/s on my amazingly horrendous DSL connection. Oh how I wish I had a faster interwebs...
I'm considering changing my font. Courier New, my current, is bleh when italicized (especially w, which looks like a messed-up v (w)), and is horrible to make emotes with. xD See?
I'm gonna switch over to Tahoma, which is what I use whenever I italicize anything or make emotes. xD I'll see if I like this better. If not, back to Courier New I go.
Not one of my favorites, although it is a nice hat. And, for some reason, a lot of people seem to LOVE it, so I can trade it for something better if/when VALVE adds the trading system.
Free B:AADLC today! I'm downloading it now. Considering my computer only froze during cutscenes, I'm hoping I'll be able to play these.
EDIT: It worked! I played both the Combat (does that have a fancy title?) and Predator challenges included in the Insane NightDLC. It was really fun! The Predator map was really challenging though. And Batman can grapple from the sky!! =O
Now if only the game wouldn't freeze during cutscenes, I could actually play the rest of the game.
Thank you WaWa for delivering the first hit. Thank you Kex for the follow-up. Thank you whichever admin increased my proto for premier membership for keeping the combo alive. And thank you Than for delivering the final blow. <3
Shoot Many Robots has been put on the back burner because partway through the game, levels repeat (albeit with tougher enemies) which starts to get boring. I played and beat The Darkness II, as well as New Game +, as well as the Vendettas campaign; it was incredibly fun and incredibly violent, and a refreshing change of pace from all the serious and realistic shooters out there. I highly recommend it, but due to its short campaign (~5 hours), you should wait for it to be cheap. I started Prototype afterwards (preorderd Prototype 2, which netted me the first for free) and have sunk plenty of hours into it. It's also incredibly fun and violent. If you enjoy over-the-top action then you definitely need to get this, it's insane. Running straight up the sides of buildings, throwing cars at helicopters, cool stuff like that. It's games like Prototype and The Darkness II that reinvigorate my interest in gaming by how unique and crazy-fun they are.
I also got Alan Wake on sale and will probably be starting that once Prototype is done.
There was a bomb threat at my school today. The whole high school had to walk to the middle school and chill out in the cafeteria and gymnasium while the high school was searched.
Later that day I overheard this conversation in another classroom:
Teacher: What shape is this? Student: Circle! Teacher: It's not a circle, it's a trapezoid.
Reached Level 50 today in Borderlands with Roland.
After I beat Playthrough 2, I may or may not start a playthrough with Mordecai. Depends if I have any other games to play, and whether or not I'm tired of the game.
A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away I made a vector of BZP's Tohu logo. (Some of you may or may not recognize it as the Steam group's picture.) I never got around to perfecting it (proportions are off and coloration is downright bad) and probably never will (I was originally planning to release it in GD with much fanfare), but if any of you want to use it, go right ahead.
(click for fullsize)
The image was created in Adobe Fireworks, if you open it in Fireworks, the actual vectors should work. It did for me, but I don't have it installed now to test it out.
I'm still making my way through ME2 again as I prepare for ME3... and the wait is killing me. I'm devoting all my free time to it while Icarus Effect sits unread and the Marble Hornets Season 2 DVD sits unwatched. (btw Season 3 starts tomorrow)
Meanwhile in game land, I recently purchased Psychonauts because it's on sale for some reason. Also, today, I got invited to the CSGO beta. (anyone want an invite?)
And of course I'm working now.
TOO MUCH STUFF IS HAPPENING ALL AT ONCE NOW THAT I HAVE LESS FREE TIME AND IT'S TERRIBLE
So a few of my friends have been spreading a rumor around my school that I was accepted into MIT. And people are believing it teehee.
Today I had to deny it when asked about it though, cuz a teacher was around, and I didn't want to lie to a teacher about it. So I wonder how fast it will take to spread that it was a rumor. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I haven't even applied anywhere yet. =O |-|\/|
