I've really been busting bum on my my display for brickfest. Vakatu's rahi is complete, and Very creepy looking! They might even want it for the space category if they need a monster.

Paruvaks rahi is 75% completed. All thats left to build are his feet and hip connection. The color scheme is rockin! I really think that this rahi will be my favorite of the bunch.

I may post pics of paruvaks rahi before brickfest, but might also wait it out. I worked on Mukaia a bunch more, and it looks a lot different. Brickfest will be great! I can't wait!

Well, looks like I cannot attend brickworld this year, because my cousin is getting married, and I'd rather attend her wedding than a brick convention.

But, I may/will be sponsored to go to brickfair and do some demonstrations and seminars, as well as showing my Inhabitants of Kaiva-Nui display. So things are looking brighter every day, and I should be able to be fully back online again within a few months.

I am at work as I type this, so I have to cut it short. Catch y'all on the next entry!

My bbc entry is almost completed, What oh what could it ever be?

All I can say, is that it is pure awesome, and it is the first of its kind in the MOCing world of Bionicle...........

    Stay tuned............

I am going to start working on my PBZP. Its been long neglected, and needs some TLC. I plan on building my first O entry, and finish my B and K entries first, being that I already have one of two for each finished.

I plan on using some great new building techniques and building some really nice mocs. I'm also going to start working on some new creations for NW BrickCon in October.

I'm going to start putting together my Trials of Terror movie trailer soon, and will do voicecasting once my scripts are written for this trailer. I'll keep y'all informed as things proceed.

Don't Forget to Name the Reikia! You have until the end of May to do so!

This is an engine part from my Oldsmobile. If you can guess correctly what its function is, you get a special banner that denotes your mechanical genius! Have a go at it!

    << Clicky for big pic!

Here is a video of how it works when its in the engine, operated with my hands......

    Click for Google Video

A hint, Your engine may stop running if this part is broken. This one has rough edges and doesn't run smooth enough anymore to function perfectly. Hence, the reason for its replacement

Omi Guessed it! Its an Oil Pump!

    He gets this fun banner!

Hey everyone, I thought I would share a small tidbit of my work with y'all. After posting that silly looking Nokama, I felt I had to post something really awesome.

These are pictures of a violin that I have already finished. These pics were taken during the building process when I glued the top on.

    Hey all!

I've decided to put together some new topics to post up in the BBC forum.

first off, is a new chibi topic now that Bionicle is complete. It'll sure be a lot easier to build them all now that no new bionicle sets are coming out. Hero Factory on the other hand... he he he. I can't WAIT to chibi those guys!

The topic will have not only all the sets in chibi, but also with full sets of building instructions to go with them, so everyone who reads can build a chibi for themselves. I just completed Karzahni, some Glatorian, some Mahri, Mistika, Phantoka, Tarakava and more!

I cant even describe how cool the tarakava came out! :3

    secondly,

I am going to revamp the Trials of Terror project. New mocs with the story and movie clips/moviemakin' will all be inclusive in one topic. This will take a while, so dont expect to see it for a while. I have not forgotten about the movie, I do eventually want to do it.

In the meantime, I have some chibis to build!

I be a pluggin away! *snap*

Arg, I feel like I am coming down with something really bad. My throat hurts so bad its hard to eat and drink. I hope that it won't inhibit my ability to work and interact with customers.

Healing from a sprained ankle two weeks ago, and then this..... Yeargh. I hope it goes away, cause pain is a pain......

Hey everyone, I felt like posting up these sneak peek concept images of what my giant rahi may look like!

    Kokatas rahi

    Vakatus rahi

    Paruvaks rahi

I'm not sure on vakatu's rahi, but let me know what you think!

I am soooo busy getting my display ready for Brickfair. I have until sunday night to get everything done and packed up. I will have to get my entry done, as I will have minimal pieces in anchorage to use. All my mocs need teeny tweaks before I pack them up, and I am going to cram as many mocs as I can into these tubs. All the big ones for sure.... Some assembly required.......

I'm going to work in the violin shop for a week before the fest, so I will have some time to relax beforehand.

It'll be cool.... I am flying into Chicago on the 26th, and am meeting up with my friends who are housing me for the fest. Were going to start driving to Brickfair from the airport. I've never seen that side of the country, so it should be pretty cool! I'm really looking forward to it.

Maybe I can get my family to drive up from Allentown to attend the public expo!

Either way, I must get back to bustin it!

I took my all black Shoei RF-200 helmet that I got for $5, and decided to add some custom decals to it to detract from its boringness. I went to the hardware store and picked up a wide roll of red reflective tape, and a narrow roll of the white, and came up with this...

I spent maybe a total of six hours working on it. What do you think?

The tape reflects light pretty well, so it is high vis at night, and should gleam in the sun. (click the pics to see larger versions) I am going to use it for snowmobiling.

Well, Brickfest is turning out to be rather interesting. I got all my mocs here ok, and set them all up, but funny thing, is I almost didn't make it! Turns out I had scheduled my flight to leave on the wrong day, and I missed it O.O I couldn't believe it, and was having a horrendous panic attack until I got everything sorted out. The lady on the phone was so nice.

I went on a short shopping trip with KIE to get some necessities, and on the way back, the tram was stopped, and we weren't sure why. Turns out there was a Mounted Officer talking to the driver of the tram, Then another officer donned some rubber gloves and entered the tram. They quickly arrested the guy who was sitting across from us!!! ZOMG! Who knows why, but it was funny after they got out, cause everyone applauded! Yay to the police officers of Portland! Keeping us all safe!

I am getting a ton of good comments on my Bionicle display, as most of the AFOLs who are attending haven't seen bionicle models like this in such a quantity, and to think it was all built by a girl.... Needless to say, they were impressed. It will be interesting to see how they are received as the fest continues. There will be pictures coming soon! Stay tuned folks!

Kool thing too, they want to have my bionicle display in a TV spot for brickfest..... How exciting indeed! YAYA!

I've been wandering around, feeling lost. With no one by my side, I was thinking that I was going to head into winter all by myself, until something cool happened the other day.

I ran into an acquaintance of mine named Ben while I was shopping for groceries. I met him through work over the summer, as he works for one of Sewards largest construction firms. He's come to the tool rental to pick up tools for some of the jobs around town. I always liked talking to him, he seemed really nice.

Well, now that I am single, we exchanged phone numbers, and made a date.

Last night we went to see a movie, and had a good time hanging out and sharing some info about each others lives. He is in the process of going through some massive life changes, so whether or not he is ready for life anew is yet to be told.

It was refreshing to have a date with no pressure whatsoever, where we enjoyed eachothers words, smiles and gazes, rather than hugs and kisses. I hope our next outing is filled with more joyous time like this. He seems really interesting!

He's a nut for fishing, and so am I.................

My heart is dancing with anticipation!

Its day one of the engine transplant for my 89 suburban. I have been working on disassembling my parts truck to get the engine ready for pulling. I have drained the antifreeze, and the A/C system, and am ready to remove the spark plug wires and distributor cap. It's raining a tiny tad outside, but it's not enough to really be a bother.

My friend is coming up in a bit to pull out the transmission and transfer case. Were then going to Eagle River to sell the transmission (from the parts truck) for $1000. Then it's off to Peters Creek to snatch up the engine hoist. I figure we'll get the engine taken out today, and put it into my truck tomorrow.

I'll keep y'all updated as progress goes, and I may even include pictures!

    Wish me luck!

I have the house to myself. I took my mom to the airport yesterday. Shes going down to see the new grandbaby, my little nephew. I'm so excited about being an aunt! I now have a nephew I can spoil, and corrupt with bionicle when he reaches the right age! Mwaahahahaaaaa!
I made a quick animation tonight of avak blasting zaktan, then suddenly avak's getting tossed around by mirkatuva! It should be pretty funny when done, although the camera moved a few times when making it because of the table cloth.... (note to self, never animate on tablecloths....)
I found a Takadox at walmart with a black canister bottom the other day. I was pretty stoked, and was able to get a price reduction on it because I had bought a barraki a toys r us for less and had the receipt with me. No nocturn up here yet, but hopefully soon! I had gotten my mantax thru shop at home and it had a blue canister bottom, so I can wait to get one thats correct, waiting till they are on sale to save a little money. No squid ammo packs are up here yet, of which I am a bit perturbed. Soon enough though, as I want an army of squiddies! he he he
Hopefully some of this warm weather cleared off the sidewalks in seward. I am dying to ride a bicycle. I think I may need to take one of my balloon tire schwinn bicycles with me, as they tend to do really well on ice and snow. Its fun to ride in the winter if you have the right gear.
I may go beachcombing too and see if I can find some more shells and stuff. I found some really unique peices of wood, and some interesting shells on my last expedition. Up here you find tons of limpets. They look like china hats and fit on lego and bionicle minifigs really well.

Another day coming to a close up here in alaska. It warmed up considerably in the last few days. It's been in the 30's and everything is getting icy. Should make for a fun trip home LOL

    See y'all next entry!

Seems like the worst of the coughing and headaches are gone, but I am still getting weird chills. I feel like I can go to work today and assemble some stuff without getting dizzy everytime I stand, or turn too fast.

Well, enough about sickiesick, I have some other things to chat about. I just made my chibi Barraki banner the other day and I like it enough to use it over the piraka banner! I've also been getting prepared to make instructions for them. I may work on them tonight.

I also posted sneak peek pictures of two new giant rahi in The Inhabitants of Kaiva-Nui. I hope to have the remaining 3 built for brickfest, as well as the Reikia.

I have a Whole lotta bills coming up, but I think I'll make it to brickfest for sure, I just have to save

Whoever is going to brickfest either as an attendee, or on Expo day, I'll be wearing a Trials of Terror T-Shirt, so y'all will be able to find me!

Well, my vacation officially ends tomorrow night. I have heard that there is SO MUCH WORK for me when I get home. I'll need it for sure. I guess my motto for the weeks to come will be "Woooorrrk Till Your Body Buuurrnnsss!!!"

Me and my two work partners have to build a minimum of 150 BBQ grills at each of 3 Home Depot stores in town, and the huge one out in the valley. Not to mention all the yard equipment they will need like wheelbarrows, lawnmowers, carts, trailers, chippers, shredders, log splitters... The list just keeps going on and on. Its hard to keep up with the quota, because customers often come up and buy the stuff as soon as you finish assembling it. Money is money in my book....

I should be hearing back about NW Brick Con pretty soon, and I hope that its really good news! I also submitted a Builders Profile to The Brothers Brick. They were really interested in my Bionicle creations, and wanted to put up their very first builder spotlight on their site, and have it be about me and my Bionicle creations! I was nominated and gladly accepted the invitation! They told me thats the first time they had seen bionicle models that were built the way I build em. Makes me happy to know I was accepted so nicely at brickfest!

I think BrickfestPDX 07 was an important step that I needed to take into the next level of building. I saw creations that blew my mind, like the operating Cuckoo clock that was staring at the bionicle table. I loved that thing, and I want to build one!!! I absorbed as much as I could by looking at other peoples creations, and learned so many great things about system that I would like to try myself! That Lego building book I won as a door prize is like candy too! I will gobble up all those spiffy building techniques......

I still have to file my taxes when I get home.......

    One word.....

    Nightmare

See you all on the flip side.......

    Roa out.....

Life is so beautiful. Mine has been forever changed by the love of a man who is honest, caring, kind, trustworthy, HANDSOME, fun loving, adventurous and oh SO so SOOO much more. Way too many good things to list! He just left for his next two weeks of work up north, and we miss each other already. I know this time will go by quickly, as he has hard work to do, and I have a moc to build. Last time he was up north, he made me something special out of pipeline steel...

    Behold, his heart of gold....

He made it on the 11th of March, as shown on the back...

We are both champing at the bit for summer to come, of whence we will go on many great adventures! I cannot wait to see what kinds of things were gonna do!

Every time he goes up north for work, our love grows stronger, cause its like an eruption of love and passion when he gets home after a shift. We are always happy to see each other, and give a BIIIIG Bear Hug! His daughter has really taken a liking to me too, and she is awesome! I'd love to get her into lego, as she is a really artsy crafty kinda girl. Hopefully we can get a build going when he comes back. We all built a General Grievous kit together, and had great fun doing so!

Here's to life, love and happiness!

I am eagerly awaiting his arrival home in two weeks. The weather should be RIGHTEOUS upon his return. Its been warm, and the snow is melting fast!
  19. Roa McToa
I feel like I'm coming down with something baaaddd......

Its been a while since my skin hurt from goosebumps. Constantly feeling chills running down my spine, pain in the back, excessive coughing.... I hope it doesnt getreally bad. I dont need another fever of 104. That happened when I was in JR high, and I lost 15 lbs. ouch

I hope this thing doesnt get really bad. Time to start pumping the Tea and getting plenty of rest. Oi oi oi...

Now time to go be miserable for a while........... Waah

    LOL LOL

I am off to Seward for a week! YAY!

I plan on securing a job, and finding that cute boy I've been looking for............

Not to mention finally posting that Seward Life entry I've been blabbing about..................

    Wheeeee I love going home!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Roa McToa
    Or try at least.

I am headed to Anchorage this weekend for both visiting and work.

I gotta pick up a variety of things for work, like envelopes, taillights for the boss's truck, the starter for the dump truck, a pile o bubblewrap for insulating under portable restrooms, plus I am sure I can think of a few other things.

After that stuff, my friend is have a "mothers blessing" gathering. She is having a baby soon, and all of us friends are getting together to make a power bracelet for her to take with her when she goes in to have the baby.

I won a $50 gift card to Target when they had their grand opening up here in October.

I plan on using it to get the yellow Jetrax. I hope hope hope they have it! *XX's fingies*

I hope that there are also new Neo Shifters. I am dying to get the new ones, and the web battlers! They rock the older ones sockszorz! Lots of really cool tranz color parts.
  22. Roa McToa
Looks like I am going back home for a week on monday. I'll have most of that time to build, but then will have to pack up all my parts and bring them back to anchorage with me so I can get all my giant rahi finished in time. I'd rather get all those done before the Reikia, as I feel they will make a much more compelling display at brickfest. Rayzauraks legs and feet are going to get reworked too, and if I have time, I'll modify the torso to make it lighter.

I plan to rebuild my main character matoran with a new design. Their current design will still be used for the Matoran Protectors though. The new design will feature bending knees and elbows, moving wrists and ankles as well as a poseable waist, and possible ribs as well. They will retain their tools, and will gain special armor when they are on their quest. Brainstorming this design will be tough, but i think I can pull it off without accidentally using other peoples designs. I don't usually look when I moc, so if anyone elses designs are used, it is purely coincidence.

    Heres to mocing Woot!
  23. Roa McToa
I am so excited! I chatted with my brother last night, and he is talking about building my website for me!!! Not only will it have a section dedicated to Trials of Terror, it will also have pictures of the violins I build, as well as my other hobbies. Y'all will be able to learn a little more about the mysteries of Roa.

He said he was going to get it roughed out soon, so hopefully there will be a movie website soon! I am crossing my fingers!
  24. Roa McToa
    Hey everyone.

I would like to apologize for my recent absence from BZPower. I have had a lot of things going on in my life that have caused undue stress upon me, and have made me unable to do my duty to BZPower recently. I was dealing with having a heater down in my house, so it has been really cold, and somewhat miserable in my home. $820 later, I got it fixed...... The woes of living expenses... Oi!

No worries, I have not left this wonderful forum. I have been thinking about BZPower a lot lately, and am dying to get an internet connection in Seward so I can get back online. Not having my own internet access makes getting to BZP somewhat difficult. I have to drive to the library to use the internet, and I am not able to do any uploading of pictures to update my topics, not to mention the time limit they give you to use the computer.

I have been building a lot of creations, both Bionicle and Lego, and have been expanding my horizons. I'm going to build a minifig scale tool rental shop like the one I work at, and it will be loaded with tools, heavy equipment, and of course, the very people that run the place (theres only 4 of us...)

My giant rahi are going to get some improvements so they are more sturdy for animation. I've also built a new style matoran for my main characters for T.o.T. Apaka now has totally awesome human articulation, with fingers! I'll rebuild all my matoran to this new style, and build some more that are the scale between them, and the protector style matoran. Apaka is as tall as a Toa Mata, but still fairly short compared tot his Toa Kaiva self.

I'll be back when I can folks. Times are Uuber stressful and tight right now, so I'll come in when I can!

On another note...... I may be going to Brickworld.................Sponsored........
