    I don't know about you, but I've gotten bored of the Save The Eyesight Campaign. Fun stuff, but whatever. If you want to read it, it's now two entries down. Y'all can remove the links whenever... Thanks for whoever played along. Found it amusing at times, really
     
    Man, I've really stopped using this. I guess I've gotten bored and have nothing to talk about with BS01 down.
     
    Hopefully, that will change. Hopefully, BS01 will be up by this week. Hopefully, I can start doing my duties on that site. Although... I don't know anymore. I've been away from BS01 for so long, I've been doing other things. I'm also a high schooler, so I'm also busy and will be getting busier. The Dreaded Real Life keeps me down. But ya know what? I'm used to it. I have adapted to a life without BS01, and I don't like it. I want to have that great resource by my side (or a link away ). It's a shame really. So many problems, other than BS01. So many things are happening. What to do...what to do.
     
    School even starts soon. Most of my summer has been BS01 deprived.

    Maybe it's just me or something. I went over to the content block and and went down to the picture block. I clicked it and it suddenly appeared. There wasn't an apparent edit button, so I was confused as to what to do. Instead of wasting time, trying to figure it out, I instead made my own content block. But then I read a blog entry....from one of the staffies..can't remember which ....that the "my Picture" picture will lead to your "About Me" page.

    Utopia <-- But of course, my name. 

    U <-- Funny how this came to be. I actually PMed Greg once, asking him a question, one that needed a very well thought out answer. He called me U, and ever since, I have signed off as that and some people even call me that. So if you say Hey U, I'm gonna think you're talking to me...  

    ~U <-- I dunno. bngi called me this. I guess it isn't too different from just U, but it's my sign-off  

    Ut <-- Another nickname people call me. Bones originally coined the term, and people like Swert and whatnot have called me that. 

    King Ut <-- Thar be bones at his silly work again. See the name below... 

    King Utt <-- You see, bones said this because apparently he was making a pun on King Tut. Just rearrange that first 't' and put it at the end. Of course, I didn't find it funny...  

    Font size 8 U <-- Bioran23 coined this nickname. I dunno why he did it, but he put my name in a font size of 8. That's pretty darn big. I guess that since it took too long to type up the code to make a really big "U", he just said this instead. Some of the BS01 Wiki staff commonly call me this  

    FS8U <-- Abbreviated version of the thing-a-ma-jig above. Yep, that's about it. Now that I think about it, I've been called by many names. I think Epsilon is the only person who actually calls me by my full name. And whoever else that doesn't really know me...
     
    So yea, you can call me either of these, and I'll probably respond to all of them. All except 'King Utt'. That was a really bad pun from bones

    Alright, I got bored. I think I might change my sig soon, and whatnot. I'll see how far others can take it before it gets old (and has, IMO)
     
    Anywhoo... lotsa updates. Let's start with...anything...

    It was totally odd. Spi, being the random Canadian that he is, suddenly shouted out: "I JUST NOTICED" or something like that. So, he showed me that, and it's like we were hooked. We kept doing it, seeing how big we couold get our 7-stairs to be. I think the last official count was 58 7's before Spi went over the limit and I couldn't receive any of his messages. darn thing too...we could have gone to 777 7's.
     
     
    Man... after some thought about it, I've wondered. Y'all know how Swert was once just a BS01 staff member, held a title as one, and was a respected member throughout BZP. Now there are three new staff to the mainsite staff, and I wonder if we will get that sort of recognition and title.
    (Or am I already a respected storyline geek? )
     
     
    I helped LK out some. Helped her out a ton with her S&T story, because it needed some work before becoming official. She was embarressed some, but it's ok Lady K *pats on back*
     
     
    My oh my...this list of things could go on...how about a nice fairy tale.
     
     
    Once upon a time, there was a little village called BS01. Every since it was founded, BS01 became a thriving village. However, one day the Evil Spike came (cousin of Survurlode, for those who have read the Bones Blog) and spiked the land on which BS01 was founded. Immediatly, King Binky was forced to stop all roads that let to BS01, thus locking out it's citizens. A nice boy named Epsilon (the stable boy who had a nack for helping out througout the village) tried to help. At first, he considered fighting off the Evil Spike by redoing the main part of the village, thus cleaning away his insidious spikes. However, being a mere boy, Epsilon somehow always managed to get back to square one: nowhere. Then, after coming back from a visit to the Queen of England, King Binky came back and decided to lift the barriers that stopped all from coming into the town. Fortunately, the Evil Spike had mysteriously disappeared. So once again all was happy...or was it?
     
    But a day later, the Evil Spike came and spiked the land again. his foul presense forced King Binky to barricade the village of BS01 yet again. Now, after a seemingly endless time....BS01 sits in a rut. The threat of the Evil Spike looms over the village, but there is hope. A small resistance (composed of the village council, mostly) has been formed to fix their village and rid the land of the Evil Spike. But can they do it? What will happen next? Can the resistance fend of the Evil Spike? Will King Binky ever be able to lift the barricades? Will Epsilon the stable boy ever get a better job? Will the narrator ever run out of things to ask? To be continued...

    Yes, that's right folks. Save The Eyesight campaign is here. We are here to go on a wild fundraiser to raise money for our poor judges. With this newfound money, we will buy contacts and glasses for all the judges. If we're lucky, we can buy some laser eye surgery for those extreme cases of judgetoolongandyoureyeswillgobad. Yes, we know. Judgetoolongandyoureyeswillgobad is a terrible case of eyesight loss, brought on by reading too many entries. If not treated right away, a judge could go mentally insane, and worst of all: have blurred vision.

    So please, if you want to help fight the disease known as judgetoolongandyoureyeswillgobad and fight for a good cause, please put this banner, graciously provided by bonesiii, as your sig.     Pretty much, it's been about 2 weeks since BS01 was first brought down, which totally sucks because Swert and I desperately need the wiki, and no doubt the mainsite as well. At first, we all thought: Well it's only 5 or so days, shouldn't be that bad...
     
    Ohhh, how wrong were we. About 13/14 days later, here we are, still waiting. I was talking to Swert on Thursday, and I told him that we don't have to panic yet. Then Friday came along. We both had the same thought: Panic time. Of course, we were both joking about it, but we truly know that we seriously need it. Not only is it the greatest resource...(All of it)...but Swert and I need to make something, which someone else is counting on us making. I guess we will have to postpone all of that.

    Did you all know that you could edit and/or delete comments that are in your own blog? It was really weird. I was just looking at this comment Bioran wrote, and I saw an "Edit" and a "Delete" button next to the quote and reply buttons. It was freaky. Then I thought to myself: This must be what forum leaders see when they look at a topic. It does sound right. FL can delete and edit someone's post. It's very odd. I guess just about on any blog on earth you can edit and/or delete someone else's comments, but it's weird for BZP, because you'd think that's what the Blog mods would see.
     
    That's probably what they do see.
     
     
     
     
     
     
    EDIT: I also wondered something else. You all know about that "lock" button you see on all of your entries? What does that lock button do? Does it stop people from viewing? I doubt it because you could just make your entry a draft to do that. Does it stop people from commenting on it? I suppose so then...
     
    I wonder if the blog mods can see all of these things you can when you are on your own blog.

    Work, Work, March?

    Aright...terrible sore and tired. I have numerous bumps due to pesky bugs, and a nice red tan. Not dark...just red. You try marching outside with your hands up for three hours.
     
    Ok, so maybe it wasn't three hours. We took some breaks. Let's just say at least two hours of just pure marching. Unfortunately my hair got in the way (Yes, it's long enough to block my view) because of a breeze, and here's the bad thing about it: The wind was strong enough to blow my hair all over, but not enough to feel cool. Seriously...it was hot and sweaty.
     
    And guess what? I get to go back in about 5 hours and do whatever for another three hours!
     
    Not yay... I seriously think I drank too much water. I felt like I was going to water the grass, if you know what I mean.
     
    So what am I doing now? Trying to relax, but I can't.
     
    "Why?" you say? Because my friend's Bionicle forum was just hacked, and I'm in a chatroom where people are trying to figure out who did it. Crazy thing really. Poor Eps

    Yep, BS01 is still down. I hope it's up by this Sunday, because something extremely special is happening that day.
     
    And now to vent.
     
    I never quite understood staff meetings. Half the time, one of our staff couldn't focus. Actually more than hal the time. But truly, it's chaotic. I mean think about it. Many people trying to chat. In the end people will go off talking about their own little stories. Sometimes things are productive. Othertimes they aren't.
     
    BS01 has been down for a while now. I really wish we could finally make some progress. I mean, Eps has been working on redoing the main site, but suddenly Swert suggests that we reinstall the wiki. So basically that week was worthless. Although I hope Eps will still work on BS01 in his spare time. Now we are just waiting for something to happen. I don't even know what I'm waiting for now...
     
    I will vent s'more when I can think of something
     
    And now to talk about whatever
     
    Got my BL#3 today. Pretty nice. Somehow some scenes I imagined in my mind were a bit rushed. Although I knew many of the spoilers thanks to friends, it's still nice to experience the read first hand.

    I felt like writing... have some things to say today, as that is usually what these are here for
     
    First off, I've wondered why people have pictures that are bigger than their content blocks. Maybe it's just a mac thing () but it gets terribly annoying. Everyone does know that you cen set your content blocks to a certain pixel width? I have mine set at 325px right now because it fits my picture. A truly fitting display, of how people shouldn't do stuff like that
     
    Anyhow, I guess that if I can ever find anything to write about, I will. Currently I'm gonna show some behind-the-scenes for folks from a comment Turakii said.
     

     
    You call that bad? Well...actually it is, but what I'm talking about is much, much worse
     
    Because BS01 was/is down, I had some free time. I could see that bones was having a bit of trouble with the S&T contest because of Real Life things. I'd thought I'd give him a hand. Come take a look at my past two days:
     
    At first it started with a simple PM. I asked bones if he needed any help. He PMed me back and told me to find and compile a list of every single contestant who had a name change. So think about it. I'm sifting and opening each page, trying to see if anyone had a name change. About 10 or so did. (About 8 made it on to the semis)
     
    So then I ask if poor bones needs anything else. He obviously seemed like he wanted to take a break and go eat something, so I took over and finished his list. So he PMed me his list. What list is this you ask? It's the one bones posted with the S&T poll timeframe with who moved on from each poll. (Thank goodness that all the polls I did, I didn't have to randomly pick a number and stop someone from going on ) That list didn't take too long. Not that bad. Bones didn't come back till an hour later, so I was bored for about an hour. During those last five minutes, I started to get the polls ready. No kidding. I was that bored. Bones couldn't believe it either. But we worked things out: Since I already had started the Metru Nui polls, bones would take Mata Nui and I would finish up with Voya Nui. Now tell me, can you sift through a total of 6 polls, one reall freaking huge list, and yet another list of who made it on to the semis and keep your eyesight, let alone your sanity?
     
    I barely did. My eyesight I mean. My sanity is doing pretty well. So here's how it works: I have 3 polls. So-so many people make from the polls. I go down the list. First name. I check the first with the list I completed for bones to see if that person made it or not. If not, forget it. If so, I copy what bones has paste it in a PM that I would later send to bones. (Ya see, I couldn't take the direct code because bones locked that topic, so I had to do it the hard way *glares at locked topic*) So I basically do that until everyone from the first poll who made it is in. I do this for all the polls. Now I have everyone, but here's the rub. Poll B must be broken down because there are only two polls for Metru Nui. So I had to sort the people from poll B by word count, them move them to their correct poll. Then I add in the list. Basically I use the list tags and whatnot, so those weren't that hard. As I went on, I learned to put the list tags down first, and fill them in as I go. That way I would make sure I had the right number. So anyway, the hard part is yet to come. Because bones locked the topic, I had to go to the leftover topic and sift through the list post bones has, which is what literally caused my eyesight to go bye-bye. So I see a name on the make-shift poll I have in PM. I look down the list till I can find his/her name on the really big contestant list. Once I find it, I have to open that topic, copy the URL, and intergrate it into the PM I would give bones.
     
    Now the finishing touches. The URL's are all there. The List tags are there. So just because I'm me, I copy what bones has at the beginning of his poll posts (Please make sure to read all 10 entries! etc.) and I added those in. Basically I had the polls literally ready for bones just to copy and paste. I saved bones a lot of trouble and time there.
     
    So I completed the Metru Nui polls. Wanna know at what time? Let's say that I went from one day, and went well into the next. Go figure it out people. So basically I did that and went to sleep.
     
    Next morn, I got up and did the Voya Nui polls. Now that I was used to it, it wasn't that bad. So, once again being me with a day off with not much to do in the morning before the afternoon, I quoted bones's leftover list and cut out everyone who didn't make it. That was really tough... Try quoting my list sometimes, and look at how much code you have to look over. I'm used to seeing a lot of code, because I work with the BS01 Wiki, but sifting through was hard on me ol' eyes. So I did that, read one story, and was bushed.
     
    So the Dreaded Real Life took over for the rest of that day, although it wasn't actually that dreaded. My sister and I played around. She's in college, so it's cool to have a chance to have some fun again.
     
    Then the next day. What did I do the next day? Well you're lookin' at it
     
     
     
    Final note: I forever give my pity and sympathies to contest hosts on BZP. Seriously....give them a hand folks.

    Wiki Duties

    Yep. Without BS01, I have lots of more free time. No duties to do. Speaking of duties...
     

     
    Turakii asked me this, so I thought that I might as well say because I have nothing better to do...
     
    Well, on the wiki I have what are called 'sysop' abilities. Basically it means I can block people, protect pages from public editing, and/or delete useless pages. Basically the wiki staff manages the wiki itself.
     
    See a spam edit? Use that nice little revert button
    See a useless page that could go somewhere else? Merge and delete it.
    See a vandal trying to cause havoc? Not anymore, he's been blocked.
    [sorry, I don't have a nice little line for protecting pages here. Just imagine one]
     
    And besides that, I also help out people. Many a time, for code help. If someone asks a question on a talkpage about something, I usually help to answer it. Yea.

    Complications

    You know the one good thing about blogs? They relieve stress. No, seriously. Your own little place where you can just vent your frustration without having to buy one at Home Depot, while having all sorts of people stare at you.
     
    I think I just defined the word "blog."
     
    Anyhow, back to my frustration...
     
    As many of you know, BS01 has been down. During that time that it has been down, Epsilon has been trying to help us redo the mothersite. At first things were going well. Truly we didn't know what the heck was causing the extreme server load, so we were basically like, "Let's just get rid of the problem altogether and redo the main site!"
     
    Things at first were going swimmingly. Eps was working hard, alone, by himself. But that was ok because he was doing a fine job on it. As you may have heard, all of the BS01 Wiki Staff have already seen how it's coming along. Goin' great. Or...at least it was.
     
    Unfortunately, a couple of days ago a huge storm that knocked out the electricity in many, many cities took place. Epsi was hit. Thus he was two days behind because of a power outage. *Glares at weather*
     
    Then not too long ago, Swert, Eps, and I were talking in a chat about how things were going. Swert apparently copied and pasted a segment of an email or PM or something from Binky that showed that we were still causing extreme server load. Swert suddenly decided to reinstall the wiki. It was very confusing, but that's what is hopefully going to happen. Anyhow, to reinstall the wiki, one needs access to the wiki. To have access, someone needs to bring down the redirect on BS01. In the topic that discussed BS01 being offline (BS01 Offline) Eps gave his words on the matter...

    Hello all. I actually wanted to make a blog after this week as over, and only premier could have blogs again () but I couldn't resist mate
     
    Anyhow, concurrently I'm just testing some things out. I'll be lookin' around and see what's up and how to change page styles and whatnot. So..until this week is over, I'll just be foolin' around. Don't be alarmed if ya see something entirely odd and random.
     
    Anyhow, busy day for me. Helped bones out a lot with the S&T contest. My eyes are now bushed. Seriously. You try sifting through all those entries....twice
     
    So now I'm just chilling, not doing much. There isn't much to do here, so like yea.

    Well, truthfully, I didn't know him all that well. However, that doesn't make the loss not mean as much. From what I gathered, fussy was a pretty cool guy -- fair and firm in his work, terribly devoted at that too. Whatever the reason, fussy made the best choice in his mind, and so the best we can do is respect that choice and give our farewells to 'im.
     
    You'll probably still come around every once in a while, but it's still sad to lose a good staffy here at BZP So long, and thanks for the good times man.

    It's Been A While...

    Man, it's been a while... well since my last update... let's see.... well I'll just say that I've come to fully appreciate the expression:
     
    "What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas."
     
    Beyond that, not much has gone on. Wiki activity has gotten up just like when it was first created (I'm guessing ). I'm taking on one RK project after another -- probably because I'm one of the few who can and do in the end... And real life just plays itself out.
     
    Oh, and I watched Blood Diamond today on DVD. Sadly enough, it's probably not as close to the truth as it really is -- the reality is much darker. A lot of what goes on in that movie makes me wonder...
     
    One of the biggest on my mind: Why?

    Well they didn't happen yet. But if memory serves, many cool, odd, freaky, weird, funny, sickening, etc. things should take place for the next couple o' weeks.

    Swert PMed Binky today, and he replied (Thankfully). Swert estimates that by tomorrow BS01 may be up. We are going to reinstall the wiki and if that fixes the server load, then BS01 goes up for good.
     
    Although the new BS01 design still might continue...just because it looks so spiffy
