I've been too busy having fun with Christmas presents.

Yeah, Canada should have first place in hockey, but we Americans need one of our sports in the olympics so we can win it. Neither baseball or football is in it now, and who cares about basketball, which originated in Canada anyway.

I hate it when Canadians refer to ice hockey as their sport because it always reminds me about how the IOC took our sport out of the olympics. Baseball, in other words. But yeah, it is fitting that Crosby do so, but it would also be nice if there was still an olympic tournament for baseball, so an American could win the gold in extra innings or something like that.

It did break the longest running streak of a team not winning the Stanley Cup. Toronto now has the longest current drought.

It was also eerily similar to Kane's Cup winning goal.

I know. Unfortunately, he apparently wanted to in the Olympic Gold Medal game in March.

Luongo has been pretty good against the Blackhawks this season, I know that. The dude carried his team in the last VAN-CHI game.

I'd say Roberto Luongo and Henrik Sedin are top players, but of course, Henrik is noting without Daniel. And the only reason they're unable to win is because they're always matched up against the ever-awesome Blackhawks in the Conference semis.

I'll add one more reason.

4. Blackhawks are Stanley Cup champions, and are better than everybody.

5. And even if they weren't, the Blackhawks would still be more awesome.

The teams with the most points at the end of the season don't always make the finals. The Washington Capitals showed that last season, and the Sharks showed it the season before.

Plus, Detroit has now played five fewer than the Caps. Once again I repeat--The Wings are the best.

On Dec. 1, the Wings were only one point back. And being a Chicago fan, I'm glad they're dropping. We don't like Detroit.

And no, I don't watch them. I watch the Blackhawks.

I'd rather have a good W-L and stink when I lose than have a poor W-L and keep losing by like, a score of 3-2 all the time. Close losses hurt bad, particularly when you have a lot of them.

-Everybody- in the NHL makes the playoffs. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Senators make it, but I would be surprised if they made it past the Conference Quarterfinals.

In three fewer games, the Wings are only one point back from the Capitals. Detroit's the best, at least until the Hawks get back on their game.

I was looking at them being second in their division. Granted, they're nowhere close to the way the Red Wings have been playing, but they don't suck.

Vancouver does okay. But right now the best team is definitely the Red Wings.

The Flyers? They were lucky to even make it there. It's not every day that you get a team like last year's Canadiens team for your Conference Final. We got the second-best regular season team in the Sharks and swept them. Then again, we got the seventh seed Flyers in the Cup Final, so it's not like it was all that rough.
