    Prototype Avatar

    Instead of tending to my MOCing craving, I watched the Opening Ceremony, but to be more productive, I also started working on a new avatar. I'm still working on this Bonesiii powerpoint style thing (Open office now), I'm not sure I've got the lighting effects sussed yet. It's probably my best attempt at this style, but I'm not ready to switch out my current av for it yet.

    I imagine this is pretty basic stuff, but I'm currently confused on where to use capitals in terms of writing species names in BIONICLE. Here's a short excerpt from the epic I'm writing (re-writing technically):
     
     
    Should the 3 highlighted words have capitals in front of them or not?

    Just watched the video we had all been waiting for back christmas '08. We were all expecting it, and we all know it now, but it still sends shivers down my spine three and a half years later.

    Photography

    Just posted my entry for BBC 63
     
    I'd say my photography has improved since I first started posting MOCs on BZP, but it's still a shade below the stuff you see from those people who always do well.
     
    Anyone got any tips on how to improve? I use a Pentax Optio 430 camera, with 4.0 Megapixels. When I took my entry pics I had the flash on and used the button with the flower next to it, which I don't understand, but know makes the pictures better. I used MS paint to resize some of the pictures, and put them all together for the entry pic, and add text.

    If you break into somebodies house, and enter a room and before you, you see a bank card, a nintendo DS, a digital camera, an Xbox, a TV, a PVR, a box of 6 watches and a 2 year old Pay-as-you-go Phone worth nothing, what would you steal?
     
    I swear, todays thieves have no brains. Shame about the conservatory window.

    Inspiration

    Often when I watch a film, I decide I want to write a Short Story or Epic inspired by it. Unfortunately this week I've watched 10 films.
     
    Anybody got an idea for a crossover on the 3 Bourne films, Pirates of the Carribean 2 and 3, Night at the Museum, the Matrix, The Dictator, MIB and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2?

    I've literally just made an amusing comparison. The Dark Hunters are a criminal organisation, who early on in the main storyline were represented purely by two completely incompetent people.

    That was an epic F1 season starter, and a well deserved win for Jenson Button. Pity Hamilton lost a place to Vettel who lucked out with the safety car though.
     
    And a shame both Caterham's retired, their pace was good.
     
    Now deeply looking forward to Malaysia next week.

    Thankfully, it looks like the big name changing fad is over, although admittedly it was the second one in about a week, so it's always possible another one will come along. Frankly, I'm just pleased Black Six is Black Six. It's just difficult any other way.

    Is anybody elses inbox telling them they have new messages when they don't, or is it just me? It's the second time in two days, and I freak out when I see I have a PM, I usually average about 4 a year, because I have no social life.

    I've gotta say some of the adverts on BZP are getting a little spammy. I know I'm not the sites 999,999th visitor, and if I were I doubt Black Six would give me a prize for it. And I know that area the page is advertising space, not my inbox. Not that I ever click on any of these adverts, I just find BZP an interesting choice for those kind of adverts.

    Having waited ages for the MNOLG kit to be reposted, I am now slightly disappointed that it has. I feel it won't last long how it currently is. The topic only seems to have 3 Kanohi in it as of yet, and there seems to be little thought gone into what deserves to be reposted and what doesn't, some of it being pointless stuff, not necessarily "mnolg style" or even coloured correctly.
     
    I mean no offence to those who helped to have it reposted, in fact, hats off to you, it was alway a fine kit and it is good that people took the time to get permission to have it reposted. But please don't let it degenerate into pointless stuff, without any real updates, that is what killed it in the first place (That and the forum downtime )
