  1. IC: Ezrak listened to the Tiokaha speak. He wouldn't talk. She couldn't read Matoran. He held up two fingers, pointed at himself and then Dhalgria. Then chewed a bit again. He shrugged his shoulders questiongly. He started walking back to his house in the Koro slowly. He turned and motioned for Dhalgria to follow. At home he had a board and some chalk. Maybe drawing would make things easier?
  2. IC: "How can Makuta's will be carried out if the ones who vanquished him still roam this island!?" Lantz demanded of Eisen. "Our Lord was, is, the most powerful being in existence. None could have ever hoped to defeat him in battle. And yet somehow those Maru apparently did just that. They used some trick, some slight to bring low our master. "I would want nothing more than to carry out Makuta's will, to stand amongst his rightful heirs. I would extend the shadows of his reign across Mata-Nui as a sacrifice to his memory, and then beyond to the Endless Ocean. But so long as those Maru live, they threaten all that we work for. As long as they live and breathe, there is the chance they might come together again and do to us what they did to Makuta. We cannot let that happen. We must find them and kill them quickly, one by one so that they might not join forces. Their strength comes from their Unity, which we will divide. Their drive comes from the sense of Duty given to them by their false god, whom we will bring low. And their hope comes from their looking to the stars for their Destiny, which we will conquer and decimate." Lantz pointed to the entrance Echelon had left through previously. "Echelon leaves to secure some greater power? What power could he find that Makuta did not have access to? We must go and bring the fight to them, avenge our fallen master and kill his murderers before they rally and come to our front door."
  3. I'm not sure the Keeping Place/ It individual meant that one of the six were in Kini Nui. "Some of the lost ones reached Its domain, and in their midst It found one. One from the land the rest must reach." "One of the lost ones. Five of the natives." I think the Keeping Place can't act in Kentoku - it's domain is Mata-Nui. The lost ones refer to the Dasaka, and KP is talking about the Dasakan ship that arrived in Ga-Koro.
  4. IC: Ezrak, or rather Anvil, nodded. With quite a bit of noise he sat down, the suit sending reverberations through the ground. This was all very difficult. He looked up excitedly at Dhalgria and pointed at her. Then he pointed at his (matoran) mouth and began to chew, very conspicuously. He shrugged, waiting for the Tiokaha to reply.
  5. IC: Ezrak was back the next day, again strolling into view while encased the Exo-Toa. It was a slow, purposeful walk, as much to enjoy the peace in these outlying areas of the Wahi as to conserve energy of the mechanical suit. Each footstep brought a loud thud as tons of metal hit the floor. There was the Tiokaha again. Sitting near a mound of stones where she and Ezrak had killed the rahi the day before. He strode forward, his arms calm at his side. He didn't want to project any sense of hostility. Slowly, he reached for a piece of paper he'd wedged into one of the knee joints of the suit. Ezrak raised it up for Dhalgira to see. It was a picture of a hammer and anvil. First he pointed to the anvil and then used the suit's left arm to hit the suit's chest. Then he pointed at the hammer, and pointed to himself in the cockpit. He nodded at the grave and gave Dhalgira a thumbs up.
  6. IC: Relisai frowned at the Imperial puppet. She'd had a long day. The Toroshu really wanted to just go home and enjoy nice, long bath, free from distraction and horrible smells. Now this upstart was in her way, and quite frankly she wasn't in the mood to have to deal with his, her, ego and delusions. Given that Yukie was in her way, Relisai was very, very angry. "Lies from a liar" the Toroshu began, her voice bored as though she was teaching a particularly dull lesson. "You are too foolish to see the hypocrisy of your position, and more, you lie about your very identity. You are a disgrace to your clan and your Empire, and yet you seek to enforce it's rule and bind another that has suffered unjustly at it's hands. Stand down, Plangori Yukie, and leave me be. I can offer you more than you realize, if only you'd be more attentive to the world around. This is your last chance. Get off the boat, or suffer and be an even greater embarrassment to your family." When she finished, the captain of the ship threw her a crystal longsword. It was the captain's own, kept in case of any pirates that got unusual ideas of grandeur. It was a slender weapon, but with good reach. It would serve Relisai for now.
  7. IC: Pure anger raged through Lantz as he was tossed aside and then the confines of his mind carelessly invaded. He could no more raise a finger than think a single coherent thought; he was a prisoner, temporarily, both physically and mentally. And oh, how he hated the feeling. Echelon spoke directly to him, chastised him as if Lantz was a petulant little child. The nerve! Oh, how he would plan his sweet revenge over the full-headed Toa of Magnetism. Echelon may have led the resistance at the moment, but someday Lantz would claim his rightful spot as Makuta's Heir and make Echelon pay for what he'd done... Slumped on the ground, his eyes focused on the Toa of Iron that just now addressed him. "You could say that. I'd like to know why the Maru still live. Echelon seemed a little too busy to answer me."
  8. IC: Ezrak nodded and left. Tomorrow it was.
  9. IC: "I am in your way?" Lantz repeated incredulously after the Toa of Magnetism. "I'm in your way?!" All prudence was forgotten as weeks of pent up anger and frustration boiled dangerously to the surface. Coming to the Sanctum he'd known he would come face to face with Makuta's other servants, all of whom were known to be extremely dangerous. If he'd encountered Piraka, he probably would have been able to control himself. One of them had after all given Lantz the Mask he now wore. But, as it were, he stood facing a Toa and a Vortixx. "I have contently sat back since I arrived in Ko-Koro while the the leaders ran this city. I have waited and waited, and what's happened? Nothing! Our Lord's supposed murderer's run free around this island! The other Koros still blaspheme in Mata-Nui's name while Makuta's is cursed and spat on! Lantz growled and pointed a finger threateningly at Echelon. "Now you say I'm in your way? I would follow Makuta to Karzahni if it was asked of me, I would sink this this entire island if it was needed. What do you do? Sit back in your nice little tower and take care of Ak'rei'an scum? What are you going to do now, treat with the Akiri? How dare you claim I'm standing in your way!"
  10. IC: Robalta let the mental energies unravel as she ceased her Willhammering fro the time being. Her job was likely done on that end. She let the Dashi handmaiden help her up off the floor. Her right shoulder burned as she leaned against Raiyo for support. "Yes..." she gulped. "Yes, you're right. We've done what we can here. Let's go" She steadied herself, pushing Raiyo gently away as she stood on her own two feet more confidently. The two departed. "That offer is nothing to the reward you will receive by helping me" Relisai assured the Dashi captain. "Among my friends are counted the Dastana, and we both know their pockets run far deeper than the Empress'. Now let's set sail already." The captain nodded and relayed orders to the crew, who proceeded to follow them as quickly as possible. The Vilda Toroshu sighed, and began preparing for another battle, should Yukie make it onto the boat. At least she'd had time to rest in the sewers. "I would love it if we could avoid any crass situations, but circumstances are making that difficult. Did you have any suggestions?"
  11. IC: "Mission? What mission?" Lantz asked angrily. He'd thought the 'ones in charge' had been sitting around in this castle of their doing nothing since they'd taken the Koro. Now they were having missions? Why hadn't Lantz been told about any of them? "It had better have been about avenging our Master..." he said, his voice brimming with violence.
  12. IC: Lantz howled in delight. "That's the way! Smoke the roaches out and let them scurry blindly in the wild! And blind they are, to revere false teachings and hold anyone but Makuta as supreme. And I must say, hunting them down one by one afterwards is fantastic. I love the chase!" At that, his thought's returned to the reason he'd come to this Sanctum. "And we will hunt again. The Maru are scurrying around Mata-Nui, trying to make sense of their world which we so brutally mauled by capturing this village from their grasps. We must find them now, while they are separate, or divide them ourselves. Together they were able to conquer, however temporarily, our Dark Lord, so it would be foolish to take them on while they are united. No, we must get them disconnected. That one from Le-Koro, the one that can jump from Wahi to Wahi - he will have to be the first one we take care of."
  13. IC: Ezrak let his eyes wander as he thought of the situation. He wouldn't talk - he would not break his vow - and it seemed the primitive Tiokaha couldn't read. This encounter had become more difficult than he'd anticipated. Even if he had one of those fancy new work devices, iStones he thought they called them, it wouldn't be of any use. He lifted Anvil's arm, the one that wielded the hammer, and pointed at the simple weapon with his free hand. Then he pointed at himself in the cockpit. He paused to signify an end to basic sentence. Then he pointed at Dhalgria, then turned his hand upside down and move two fingers back and forth. Walking. Then he pointed at himself, and then Ezrak turned and started heading away.
  14. IC: Relisai whipped her head towards the source of the offered aid. A Datsue, on a swift merchant ship. Well, she was either devious slaver, part of the rescue team, or she was about to become part of it after some Willhammering on Relisai's part. In any case, the Datsue was her best, and quickest, way away from the Zuto-Nui forsaken island and it's crazed inhabitants. She to where the boat was docked, which was remarkably close to where she herself had been standing, and then Relisai quickly pulled herself up the rope with ease. A Menti did not become Toroshu in the forests of Oki without some athleticism. On deck, she pulled the rope up after herself and surveyed the captain and her Datsue rescuer. Yes, she was a Mashtet - her clothes betrayed that much. "We have to leave, now. The others should be able to too enough." Robalta, tucked away in an alley while she Willhammered the Sighteye into exhaustion, fell to the floor as the Dashi beside her pushed her roughly. Her concentration didn't break - she'd learned long ago how to keep her mind focused on a single task while her body was moved around. It was a dangerous game though; by purposely preventing reflexes from functioning, her body was more likely to suffer. Her shoulder crashed into the ground with a loud crash, and though her concentration didn't break, even she couldn't stop from crying out in pain. It was going to hurt in the morning. More than it did now, anyways. "Actually, just one more request, if its not too much trouble" Kulrik told the more alluring of the Toroshu Plangori's daughters. "It's been a long journey, and there many opportunities to enjoy the delicacies of life while on the road. I can't tell you when I last ate a pleasant meal in proper company. I was wondering, if you don't have too much work, if we might have dinner together tonight. I would love to talk to you about the going-ons of the Empire, and hear more about this clan that produces such exquisite beauties" he said, his eyes staring rather intently at Plangori Akiyo. "All i the name of diplomacy, of course."
  15. IC: Ezrak's stare continued uncomfortably for several seconds. Then, he gave a slight nod to the Tiokaha. He raised Anvil's grip on the hammer and used the weapon's shaft to scratch three letters in the ground. W.H.O. The Matoran then pointed at the Tiokaha, his gaze transforming into one altogether more curious.
  16. IC: Relisai wasn't sure how much time was passing. Ten minutes? More? First she was in one chute, then another. Some were topped off to the brim with water, completely submerging the Toroshu, while some were half empty. A few had currents so strong Relisai was practically hurtling through the underground system, while other's were much more manageable. About halfway she stopped trying to cloak her presence - if anyone was still looking for her, chances were they halfway across the island. A few times she entered larger caverns several pipes met up; she decided not to interfere, letting the current drag her where it would, figuring that the current would bring her as away, and as low, from the centre of the city the possible, to docks. Or at least someplace close. Until then, she would continue crossing underneath one street to another where above no alley existed, and below crowded corridors that provided passage from one district to another. Throughout it all, though, the horrible stench was always present. Then, all of a sudden, the tunnel she was in started narrowing. Uncomfortably so. The pressure began to increase as well as she had to fold her arms in to keep from getting stuck. She was going fast now. Too fast. This wasn't good. Why, oh why had followed Raiyo's plans!?! She was about to start screaming.... And then, she was in the air. She flew a short distance as she fell in the sea. Relisai flailed her arms as her head fell below the surface, pushing downwards to bring herself back up and she breathed. Fresh air! Finally. She looked around. She was right next to the Docks! She swam as quickly as she could to reach the shore. She waded through the mud until she completely out of the water, dripping with water and smelling far worse than she ever had in her entire life. Her gaze travelled from one dock to another. Now where was that Mashtet she'd been told about? She stared back inland for a moment. She prayed there was no other brainless slave of the Empire coming.
  17. IC: "An assassin's touch. Effective, but it lacks the honour of a proper fight. It is impersonal and cold. But, dead is dead I suppose" Lantz said with a sigh. His mind had momentarily forgotten the impatience that had burned through him. It had been replaced with murderous fascination. "Makuta's gifts are true treasure's aren't they? The give us the strength to follow his will and become his princely servants, as we are mean't to be. For you, it's been to make you an even more effective killer, as much on the battlefield as without. For me, it's given me the ability to tear down false temples such as this one" he said. Lantz moved to the wall, stroking the cold surface. "But that is for another day, another dusk. At present it is useful. Apparently." "How many will we have to kill to bring Makuta justice I wonder? The six Maru of course, but they are only the most directly responsible for our Lord's demise. There remain countless Turaga, Toa and Matoran that supported the Maru, and who would continue to fight Makuta's teaching until their death. So be it..." "How many of those faithless Brotherhood have you killed?" Lantz asked gleefully.
  18. IC: Ezrak watched in silence as the Tiokaha readied her shot and released the crimson arrow, which barely whistled as it flew and stuck the Stone Ape squarely between the shoulders. He'd seen the Tiokaha return to this spot by the water for several days, first stumbling upon her by chance. She had never noticed the small, silent Matoran as he had stood guard each day and who now, for no reason he could quite ascertain, had decided to bring Anvil with him today, of all days. Now, seeing the ailing beast, sick from plague and paralyzed as well, Ezrak knew fate had been at play. Perhaps Mata-Nui had put the thought into his head. Perhaps Mata-Nui was still alive. Perhaps not. Shielded in the cockpit, Ezrak and Anvil rose as one, the hum of energy more pronounced now as the Exo-Suit was fully activated. With heavy footfalls and the whirring of pistons Anvil approached the Stone Ape, which was moaning in pain and struggling to move forward, it's bottom half a lump of dead weight. Ezrak gave the creature a look of pity, then swung his hammer. The creature became silent instantaneously, it's head dropping to the floor. Ezrak glared at the Tiokaha.
  19. IC: "Brotherhood? The Brotherhood of Ak'Rei'An? More unbelievers, but at least they recognize Makuta's power. When His inheritors rightfully reclaim this island, the brotherhood too will have reckoning." Lantz took a a careful look a the guard. Some members of the Brotherhood were formidable themselves. If Decay was the one that "took care of them," he must be more powerful than Lantz first thought. "That's quite the arm you have there..." Lantz noticed. "You know, I've always like Toa of Plantlife. Always so creative. One most got me permanently stuck in a tree" he said with a rough laugh. "Were you a killer before or after you were given a gift from our Lord?"
  20. IC: Lantz growled at the comment. "I have been very patient. But, even Makuta's patience would be tested with all the waiting that has gone on." He paused, taking a deep breath. Staying cool. "My name is Lantz. So, why do they call you Decay? And how did you end up here?"
  21. IC: Lantz barged into the room, shoving the door closed with a loud bang behind him. He began pacing across the room. From one wall, to another, then back again, then back to the wall. On the one hand he wanted to barge into the meeting, demand answers and force the Legacy into action. On the other, he didn't want to risk losing his head by angering the Piraka. Overall, it was a frustrating situation. He stared at the Toa that had admitted him, now sitting in a chair. "So, what's your name?" he snarled.
  22. IC: Lantz' anger flared and his eyes opened wide with outrage when he heard that they were having a meeting. Sitting around a table politely discussing the latest news while horrible murderers and infidels roamed free across the island. It was just this sort of behaviour that incensed Lantz to the edges of his sanity. Where were the men of action that had taken this Koro?! The only reason he didn't start battering down the door was the mention of the Piraka. They were not to be trifled with, Lantz knew that. One had given him the powerful mask he now wore - he could only guess what other weapons they kept for themselves. "My Kanohi was given to me by one of the Piraka in exchange for service. I should at least be allowed to come and wait inside to ask what is being done to deal with those killer Maru that plague this island. Don't you think?"
  23. IC: "Where are they?" Lantz grumbled back at the Toa behind the Sanctum doors. "The ones that use this mockery of a temple as a place of meeting. The ones that led the assault on Ko-Koro and now lead it. I need to speak to them. Now." His voice was deep and seemed barely contained - as if the Toa of Gravity was doing all he could to keep himself in check and stop from straight off screaming -or worse- at the guard that now barred his way. "For Makuta's sake, I must speak to them."
  24. IC: Lantz stomped through the snow, the crunching sound of the white stuff being compacted following him with each step. He breathed fast and hard, from exertion as much as anger. At a whim he looked at a nearby house and activated his Jutlin briefly; he saw veins of weakness start to appear in the solid ice. He stopped, and continued on his way. He would have normally grinned at this small evil, at the thought of the Matoran living their lives for weeks, months, and for then one day watch as their home collapsed on top of them. But the act brought him no pleasure, not now. In fact, the lack of pleasure just him even angrier. He growled, frightening a nearby villager. Finally, he arrived. He stared up the building before him in disgust. The Sanctum. A monument to a weak god, for a weak people. Mata-Nui was gone, and good riddance, but the people on the island insisted on bowing low to him and his ridiculous teachings. They had resisted Makuta, and more. Too much more. Now the temple lay in the hands of Makuta's so-called chosen ones, beings that had as of yet done nothing concrete to carry out justice for their Dark Lord. Lantz had waited and waited, but his patience had vanished. Capturing one cold village was nothing - vengeance was needed! He slammed the pommel of his sword loudly against the doors of the Sanctum, and waited for the guards to let him in.
  25. IC: Relisai felt panicked as she sensed a figure sloshing towards her. She could tell that the figure was large. Too large to be a Dashi. Then a hand plunged into the water beside her head , scrambling, searching for her. Then she slipped in the pipe entirely, beyond the grasp of Yukie. She relaxed. The pipe was just big enough for her to fit in, and completely filled with water. All she had to do now was let the flow of sewage take her where it willed.
