Yup, ineverlikedfelt you can continue in that topic. You might even find an answer.

Went with Dume and Nivawk. There were a lot of good entries here, but I'm really liking the sleekness and the curves and the solidness of Nivawk's design.

I think BZP was where I first discovered Bionicle's storyline? So I would probably just be buying sets for the fun of it rather than a story reason... Also would not care about Lego that much in general.

I think back in 2006 Zaktan was my favorite character, so that's where the z-ness comes from. Then I was Toa Z, and Adventurer called me Zeddy once and it just stuck.
-
I think I gave up after Bionicle ended, and would occasionally check back but I think the forums were offline then? So that was even less incentive to come back. I would pop back in every few months or so but didn't do much... so I guess that makes my period of inactivity a few years.

Like everyone else, I too believe the Mask of Creation is gonna show up in a set. And it's probably gonna be Ekimu. I feel like such an important mask, the central figure of the story, won't be released in an ordinary Toa or Protector sized set. They'd want its release to have an impact, and we also haven't gotten a titan set in this round, so my money's on Ekimu being released as a titan.
The image I have in my mind is a Makuta (Teridax) sized set, with a similar design, except you know, more white and gold.

I'm only choosing from the ones I owned, so that would have to be Toa Iruini. Liked the shield and staff combo and the mask was cool. Didn't much like the asymmetrical Hordika, and never owned any of the titans.

Found a bunch of Kanoka packs at a Lego store a couple of days ago (in Prague). Which is probably the strangest sight I've come across, seeing as how they're 10 years old and just lowly collectibles. Still bought one though after hesitating a bit.

Gadunka was weird, head was too big and what was with those teeth and skinny limbs. But it's fun saying Gadunka (Gadunka).
Umbra had a horrific "colour scheme". There was something off about Icarax's proportions... and that's pretty much it. I think most of the other sets were pretty good, no glaring flaws like these ones.

Great, now it's stuck in my head again.
I guess it's time to rewatch The Lego Movie...

I'm probably gonna do the opposite and dismantle them so I can try and start MOCing. Also storage purposes.

I wouldn't mind ONE song for nostalgia's sake, but really their style doesn't fit with the direction Bionicle is heading in now. Maybe in the future, when themes get a little more action-y or whatever. Same deal as Gen1, their songs would have been so out of place with the Toa Mata/Nuva (though now that I think about it they could have worked with the Toa Metru...)

Probably the gold masks and some of the weapons, like Tahu's sword. Though to be honest I'm also excited for the chest armor because I don't have any CCBS pieces.
-
Lewa's mask, and also printed chestplates- I would have prefered plain pieces with stickers because at least then I have the choice of not using them/removing them...

I'm actually inclined to vote for this over my own entry, that's how good it is. Even stand alone, as a reinvention of Hapori Tohu it is pretty amazing. I like the use of the "new" gears to give him an updated look. And you've captured the animation style perfectly. Just out of curiosity, what program did you use?

seems like a dupe topic. try this one instead.
Hm, I'm inclined to agree. Between that topic and the Official 2015 one, Toa Jaton, you should be covered.

Appearance-wise, probably the original Hau or Miru. Power-wise the Mahiki, but the Mohtrek has a pretty cool power too.
-
Maybe Axalara? Not too sure, though it could have been Mata Nui as well (the small one).

Depends what country you're in I would think... I know in my country you could find a few Bionicle sets years after they were originally released in the US. I don't know if that was the first time they were showing up on shelves or if no one bought them so they just stayed there... But I wouldn't at all be surprised if I found some 2010-era sets in stores. I haven't gone looking for them in years, but I might when I get back.

Why is it there are only five people in the world who can pronounce Lewa right?
Haha I've since gotten used to Leewah
I've always said Leewah. It sounds more natural (to me at least) than "Lay-wah" (assuming that's the way you say it ). But hey, it's a reboot so maybe things have changed lol
Anyway I'm liking the new trailer. I prefer the Toa crashing into Okoto like meteors rather than landing up dismantled in canisters. And the Protectors basically are like the Turaga... I wonder if that means we'll be getting another McDonald's promotion for the "Matoran"?

I actually really liked the way TLR portrayed them, so that's how I'm going to imagine them from now on. Moving parts and bits, little bit of organic stuff here and there, rust/damage on the mechanical parts, that sort of stuff.

Been playing Overcooked solo recently. My hands hurt and my brain hurts.
And also Hitman. Great game to just walk around and take in the scenery. That's the point of it, right?
