  1. IntroductionI have wondered this many-a-times, especially with each new Bionicle story, and lore that is created/thought up by BZP members. We all know that Bionicle is a ridiculously complex Universe (at least, the expanded Universe is, maybe not the main story), and that is what my topic is about.Imagine if Bionicle, as wonderful as it is now, was NOT based on the set's that were released on an anual yearly-basis. Try to take this with a grain of salt, because I know you might think "Well, that wouldn't work, because they had to sell sets in order to maintain the series." Yes, I know. But just think for a minute how much more detailed, and complex the story could be. Imagine how different...Ex. 1) I just posted in a topic about the "Nuva vs. Inika", where it was asked if the Nuva were, like we were told, stronger than the Inika, when the Inika seemed to do better? Well, if the story went by however Greg F wanted to write it, I'm pretty certain the Nuva would maintain the "Hero" title, and be the main focus, and the Inika would be a side story/smaller part of the story line.Ex. 2) The ending. I feel strongly that the ending could have been better. Could have lasted longer. And if not based on sets, might have brought back old characters (I know they did with the Stars.. but come on), to either aid in battle, or be a part of the destruction of Teridax. (Don't have a clearer example on here, just thinking outside the box).Hopefully I am making sense. What do you think would have the most drastic change to the story, if Greg F didn't have to mold his story around the yearly sets?- TakaEDIT: If anyone has already posted something similar, I apologize, I have been on a 2-3 year hiatus from BZP.

  2. Toa of Italy summed it up quite well. And one major thing to keep in mind: if Bionicle wasn't based on year-by-year set releases, imagine just how different everything would be. Like Voya Nui, for example. The Toa Nuva would obvioulsy be the main heros, with the Inika helping out where, and how they can. Bare that in mind, as Greg F had to go along with the sets, and not how the story might have gone/how he imagined.- Taka

  3. ... Just kidding I live at home with my parents while my friends are at parties.
    >implying that's not the rest of usBut I'll come, too. I doubt I have any plans for that night at any rate.
Whoops...Law, I looked for you online yesterday. I was gonna ask you something. But I found Kard and was just as happy. Do you still have members, Kard?- Taka
  4. Oh gosh, there's quite a few. Where do I start?Mata Nui (MU body)Toa HagahKarzahniArtakhaTuraga LhikanKanohi DragonMiserix- :t: :l: :h:
Pretty much sums it up for me. I'm assuming you mean pre-pit Karzahni? But in addition:I would LOVE to see the pre-pit Barraki, considering they spawned Teridax's idea of 'ruling the world' and overthrowing the Great Being. And were also probably the first 'bad guys'.Also would love to see some kind of set of...

Velika as a Great Being, eitehr in Toa-Size form, or Mata-Nui titan form.

Wish I could think of more.- Taka

  5. Seriously, did none of you really know that? I'm guessing it was really underground. :P
Yeah honestly after I read the OP post, I found my brain telling me this exact thing.Seeing as Nidhiki was one of my favorite Toa-that-never-was (set wise), and Iruini and Norik were easily my favorite sets of the time, I have no idea how I missed this? The similarities are striking. Infact, I MOCed a Toa Nidhiki using Defilaks Kanohi Kualsi... And considering Dume and Norik have the same Kanohi/Similar colors...This is one of the biggest mind blows I've had in a while.- Taka
  6. In looks, playability, build, Brutaka wins it hands down, no arguments.Personal favs in no particular order?BrutakaMata Nua (The big dude)HydraxonMaxilosAxonnDoes Kardas count? If so add him. But all of these cause either I loved building them, or just overall enjoy the set in general.- Taka

  7. Curious; is it necessary to use spoilers still? In any case...

My biggest question is, why isn't everyone alive, then? Does the Red Star just choose who to revive? Or, once dead, are you able to decide whether to come back as yourself (fully healed, in time, it seems), or continue on to... Well, not sure exactly what would happen.

  8. I like how Blue Fire thinks.I play it all. Anything and everything related to Halo. And RPGs. Mass Effect, Borderlands, Elder Scrolls, Minecraft, Gears of War, Bioshock, Assassins Creed, Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty, Dead Space, I mean gosh, there's not much I won't play. This is all 360 mind you. But if you're fairly decent at Halo, I'll be on almost constantly come Nov. 6th, so PM me if you're interested in playing. Always love the company of a BZPer.

  9. I can't stop looking at those pumpkins dancing...But, I am available that night. Perks of being on internship and not at school.... Just kidding I live at home with my parents while my friends are at parties.None the less, I shall be there.- Taka

  10. I am ridiculously in love with the 2004 story line. I have a big place in myheart for Metru Nui. It just seemed like the start of a crazy amount of lore, and also answered so many questions previously unanswered. Plus the Toa Metru/Turaga.. I also liked some parts of 2005, mostly Nidhiki, Iruini & Norik, Roodaka. Great story lines.

  11. Wow, I haven't caught up on Bionicle since the Mata Nui battle animation on the website. This whole Red Star shenanigans is ridiculously disappointing. It voids any and all tragedies that ever happened, rendering the emotional connectivity that makes this storyline so intriguing, entirely moot. I won't say anything important, as I can't add spoilers from my phone, I just think this kind of ruins the entire story, which honestly leaves me a bit crestfallen. I grew up reading and playing with Bionicle following its lore more religiously than anything else, and this is all we get from the ending? Call me nastalgic, but this sucks. -TakaEDIT: slightly off-topic, is there anywhere that explains this story in a consolodated manner? Im having difficulty following it through all the posts.

  12. Yo. So, I'm level 50, 120 hours in, and completed all of the factions, most side-quests, countless side-missions, and I only have two main quests left (on purpose, leaving something to do in the game).Honestly I'm bored. I don't know what else to do. Besides maybe get every achievement. Which is about 3 more. Any ideas?
