I'm still not happy about the no-more-magazines-for-over-thirteen-year-olds thing, but I'm glad that they at least let us still view them online.
There's a link to download it too, if you want. I plan on taking full advantage of that ability.

I'm glad they decided to put the full magazines, complete with club codes, online in pdf format for those of us whose subscriptions will be cancelled next year. that way I can separate out the comics if I want, and I can put any posters in separate pdf files for later printing without having to deal with the creases that posters straight out of the magazines would have. Now to see if any future Bionicle comics, if they're going to happen, will also be released in pdf format so I can keep that collection going as well.

As I posted earlier, I was having trouble running CD 2 when I unpacked it, but I recently tried running the packaged version, and it ran fine for some reason. I guess I don't need help with it after all.

I'm having some trouble getting these running in a virtual machine. I have some ideas as to why and I'll try some more tomorrow, but the menu system can be viewed outside of the included executables.
- Create a folder named "DSWMEDIA" (necessary to allow the menu to load files).
- Copy the entire contents of the CD you want to view into that folder, or a subfolder there of.
- Open BIONICLE_CD1.dxr either BIONICLE_CD2.dxr (depending on the CD) in an internet browser (you must have Shockwave Player installed).
Note that the "bionicle intro.mov" won't play, but everything else seems to work (you can play the video ouside the menu in a video player like VLC). I tested this on Firefox on OS X, but should work the same on Windows.
Poking through the layers for the PSD files is slow but interesting! Apparently the "Water is for Wimps" initally said "Water is for Sissies". There are some unused layers and some background compoents that can be seem much more clearly when you peel back the layers. There are also a few images I don't recall seeing before (but maybe I just don't remember). A BIONICLE Matoran font is also included.
Also, I don't know why, but the CD project is internally called "7971 Bionicle Style Guide" (LEGO set 7971 is a 2010 LEGO Racers set). It seems it was also developed by www.redcentral.co.uk.
UPDATE: Added instructions on how to view CD in browser and have images load.
I tried running the dxr file for CD 2 in my Chrome browser on my Windows 7 laptop, but I get a "This application requires an Xtra (QuickTime) that either does not exist or failed to initialize properly. Please make sure the appropriate Xtras are in the Xtras folder(s)." error. Then a screen loads with a black background, a red box with an X in it, and a small image of the outside parentheses things of the UDD logo below that. I also get another error that says "This Shockwave movie has errors that have caused playback problems. Please contact the author of this content regarding this problem. Shockwave is unable to continue." There's background music that plays fine while that second box is up, but once I click ok the music stops and I can't do anything, so I just close the tab.
EDIT: I tried Firefox, Safari, and even Opera, all with the same result.

I'm having more troubles. Disk 2 seems to be missing a needed .INI file that it's asking for in order to run.

I downloaded CD 1 without any issue, but I'm trying to download CD 2 and it's saying "Your available browser storage for MEGA cannot handle this download size, please free up some disk space." Any idea how I can fix that?
EDIT: It seems to be working fine now, oddly.

Can you give us pictures, or scans if it's a binder, of the pages of the actual Style Guide? I didn't see if you said you were already planning on that, so I thought I'd ask.

I'm over 13, subscribed to the magazine, and I would miss it if they cancelled it on me.
I wouldn't have heard of the Iron Man's Lab build instructions if not for my subscription (I love having all my Iron Man suits displayed in it), and, more recently, I liked seeing how they remade the Guardians of the Galaxy teaser poster in the center of the July-August 2014 issue. If they went through with it I'd probably either get it from my local LEGO store or lie about my age to sign up for a new subscription online. Like most of the others here, I wouldn't like missing out on the Bionicle comic, if they started that back up, which I hope they do. My subscription got accidentally cancelled once, and I thought that was because of my age because I'd turned 19 shortly before then, so I thought I should just resign myself to not getting it, but I'm not going to do that again. A downloadable pdf version of the magazine would be cool, because that would mean I'd be able to keep my previous issues more organized. I've been looking for scans of magazine pages off and on for a while so I can build a computer backup of all of my issues so it's not a big deal if I lose them. I'd be very interested in knowing where I can find more of those.

It would seem they're going to keep using the CMF Santa for advent calendars, which I like, because I think that's the best Santa they've ever made. It does, however, give me a reason not to get the City calendar this year, since I already have a CMF Santa from last year's calendar.

I never expected to see anything like that. That's awesome.

Here you go.Does anyone have any idea of how to separate the episode from the game so it's downloadable? I have all the others downloaded and I'd like to add this one to my collection.

Thanks. This would be episode 11, right?

I wish it came in pdf format or something so I could download it and keep it. Come to think of it, there's no reason why I couldn't just copy it into a word document, which I could then turn into a pdf document, myself. I think I'll do that.

The episodes are also on the Marvel YouTube channel, actually. I thought they were pretty cool.

I don't see them. I only see the first four episodes on the US version and through season 2 on the GB version, but not through season 3 anywhere.

Did anyone else get 2 issues? Both my girlfriend and I got 2 copies of this issue for some reason, and it's reallyconfusing. Was this just a mistake in my area, or did it happen to anyone else? ~Tobi
I got two copies, but only because I'd talked to two customer service people about it via email and got accidentally signed up under two different versions of my first name, but everything else was the same. Thankfully, I have an 11 year old neighbor, and he's enjoyed the spares I give him.
I'm 21, and I've been getting it since I was five, six? Still enjoy receiving it in the mail.
I'm glad I'm not the only one, though I started at 10. Though they did stop sending them randomly at the beginning of 2011, after the January issue, which is the reason for my contacting customer service mentioned above. For some reason I got my May-June issue on April 30th.

Whenever I try to read the review I get a "Not Authorized" error message. Is there a way to fix that?
-
Does anyone have the answer keys to the magazines from the clubcodes in the front? I have some 2010 ones and the one for the 2011 magazine that I have, but that's it.

I discovered this website when I was looking for scans of other magazines besides the mania, and I thought I'd share it here so others could benefit from it. It has magazines in a bunch of languages, and the English ones are at the bottom.
-
I guess I was thinking of the pdfs you made of the Manias. At least, they're pdfs now, if you didn't do it. I guess I'll just wait and see what happens, then.
There are no definite plans, but I wouldn't rule out the possibility. I do not know if -Auron- would be interested in hosting any Club Magazines or the LEGO Magazines in between them and MANIA. I do have the majority of them, though, and I'm open to the idea of uploading scans.I think it would be better if I made a descision after the school year has started, so I know how much time I will have to be working with. That way, I can decide if I could realistically undertake the project.I'm not aware of pdfs of the magazines existing anywhere, except maybe the most recent of them on LEGO's website. Are there any plans to scan the Club Magazines, or are they already in pdf form somewhere? I'd love to be able to back up my entire Lego Magazine collection on my computer, but I think I only have one Mania, if any, and the rest are Club. -

I'm planning on getting this set because it's one of the four to get in order to collect the entire fellowship, the other three being Gandalf Arrives, The Mines of Moria, and Shelob Attacks. I'll probably wait for a deal, though.

Cool. Now, with the RSS link from BS, I can just check BZP when I check the rest of my collection of Lego RSS feeds.TotBI

Doing that every time would be just as annoying.
On your computer, yes. In LDD itself, no, not to my knowledge.
It is. Is there a way to change the screen resolution?
I've done that too. That's how I found out that it was just the bottom row that I was missing. It's annoying to have to do it every time, though.I just unlock the bottom bar and pull it down.

A also recently figured out that a few of the club code unlockables are included in the magazine files. The DCSH comic sequels that they mention a club code for are positioned right after the in-magazine comics. I thought that was pretty cool, since it saves having to look up the code.
