I was just watching the Behind-the-Scenes segment for Mask of Light when on a whim, I decided to go look up Michael Rose who was listed as art director in the segment.

It turns out, he has a portfolio with visual development from the movies.

Some fascinating tidbits in there. I guess after WoS, one direction they were going with was that Makuta was in control of the Visorak horde?

Also going back to my list of artists who worked on Bionicle and Stephen Lewis had way more orthographics/maps that he did for TLR

Seeing the surge of topics about 3d stuff made me want to go back to those Avokhiis I have. I still had a blank white one, so I went and sanded down the surface and give it a painted wood surface. Also applied some nail polish on my frosted one and on my nails, now it's like ice

Oh and I caved. I put the Avokhii up for sale on Shapeways.

Hello all, this is my first entry.

I'd like to thank GSR and his donators for providing me with a Premier membership via his giveaway. I haven't exactly figured out what I plan to do with this blog but mostly likely it'll be art-related stuff and also sharing cool Bionicle stuff found outside the realm of BZPower, such as this production piece by Kun Chang, who was the director of Watchdogs and also did conceptual work for the Phantom Menace and Fifth Element. Not sure if this is official work he did for LEGO, but it's Bionicle

So yeah, that's my first entry

    Here's another treat

Highly recommended if you want to get into modeling, Zbrush is industry standard.

I'm pretty much freaking out about this because they used to have a trial version and then took it down for the longest time. Previously, you would have to pay for the full version which is really expensive or use Sculptris which is free but lack most of the new features (it's the first Zbrush) but hey, now you get 45 days with it.

Zbrush was what I used to sculpt the Dragon Priest Huna:

Chronicler's Convergence is an event hosted by TTV, the ThreeVirtues Project, with the idea of being an E3-esque online convention, now a video, to give fans the opportunity to promote their own projects be it stopmotion, writings, fanart, etc. This is the second year of Chronicler's Convergence.

I have my own video in Chron-Con as well as an interview with Mesonak and Eljay (Timestamp 01:01:15). My video showcases various projects/crafts that I have done and it is also to tease one of my next projects which is to build a posable Mata Nui Robot out of paper. Here's my current progress with that

BAS Weekly Challenge Week 15- Makuta Metae by crunchbitenuva
Makuta Metae, an member of the Sisterhood of Makuta, was noted for her discovery of the Kraata’s ability to infect Kanohi masks. During the Great War on Mata Nui, she was one of many Makuta tasked by Teridax to fit the infected Kanohi onto the Rahi to make them servants of the Makuta.
Personally, I'm not really into designing OC characters, I'm much more comfortable with more official characters. This really originated from me wanting to incorporate more real-life culture aesthetics into my art. So I was re-designing the movie-style Kraahkan with more African influences, but it ended up looking more like a Dragon Priest mask from Skyrim.
