So I'll be honest, this was not a first-day buy for me. I actually had to wait for my money to clear before I could buy it. Basically all I missed out on is the Red Son DLC. Oh well.

I already 100% completed the main story, leaving only the S.T.A.R. Labs missions to handle, plus random battles.

I think right now I favor both Green Lantern and Aquaman (no lame jokes, he's pretty epic in this game) with Nightwing as my third. I haven't had the time to sit down in any capacity to play through every character so far, but I do recall how powerful Nightwing was when I faced him in the story.

So, any XBL players with the game? I'm pretty bored and would love to have sporting challenge (not necessarily today, I'm working D:)

    ...

Wait, you mean you haven't downloaded it yet? Why?

It's leagues ahead of IE8. And having tried Firefox before, and refusing to allow anything Google on this computer (besides Google Talk and GMail <<), and I don't even have Quicktime on here, I'm not going to try Chrome and Safari. So yeah, don't waste a comment saying I should go to that.

But I will say this, give IE9 a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised, I promise you.

Now, if you HAVE gotten IE9, disregard this rant and continue enjoying it.

So this week, I the opportunity to participate in interviewing a friend of mine. That'll get posted online within the week, so I'll be sure to share it. It's pretty relevant to BZP, actually.

In the other news, I've been working a bit more slowly since the Minewell project was finished, and so I've gained some time back to myself. I took the opportunity to rent and watch The Hobbit #2, then starting Lego The Hobbit. Didn't go too far into that yet, but it's already leaps and bounds ahead of The Lego Movie The Videogame in terms of navigation and stuff. Yes game, I'd love to have a map. Yes game, I'd love to have you mark where stuff is for me. Thank you.

So yeah, basically more boring stuff for me, except that interview. Woo.

    It is done.

    1) Yes, I know I'm missing misprints and other rarities. Most notably missing is the European Copper Huna and more premium items (24k Gold Hau for example).

    2) Also of note, I have some 02-03 masks in this list, including the gold Avohkii, Nuparu's orange Pakari, the gold Vahi, the MEK and Kraahkan, but they're in my collection so I count them.

    3) I don't currently have plans to go get Kanohi Nuva, Krana or Kraata; I might consider the Kanoka, but those are super hard to get just right.

So yeah, that's 2 months' work. Just in time, too.

I spent most of it working on dismantling the island of Mata Nui, then I get home and all of a sudden... Halo 4.

Today was long, but the payoff is epic.

    Oh also something political. Whatever

The Wall - Experience Edition and The Wall - Immersion Edition.

I've got Experience on my computer already (<3 you, Zune Pass) and I might just consider Immersion eventually. It'd be worth it some day.

This image currently represents a specific system I came up with. For one, gives me an excuse to show off my Lantern Corps symbols. Second, it is tracking the rings I have purchased via many sources. Basically speaking, DC Comics' Collectibles division (formerly known as DC Direct) released nine rings and lantern "power batteries" as collectibles in 2011.

I'm now collecting each one, or will attempt to.

My image above tracks what I now own (or will own very shortly, due to purchases). So far, it's White Lantern, Blue Lantern, and Indigo Tribe. My next purchase would be Green Lantern, however the only price I saw for it was $179 on the -low- end, so I'm going to have to postpone theirs until a later date, or go hunting through my closest comic book stores for one. I'm not desperate for one yet, but if I buy the remaining 5 first, then I might feel the need to own the last one.

TL;DR version: Swert is definitely a geek. We knew that.

Huh, I haven't posted in like a month? Welp, time to lump all my updates into one entry, as I am wont to do.

So, where do I start? My new year's eve was immediately turned into a downer when my mom went to the hospital. She stayed there for a good 2 weeks (she's back home, and healthier than she's felt "since 1998"). From that day til pretty much last week I've been working my mask off in project after project. While this basically means it ate up all of my time I wanted to wisely spend on BS01, it does mean I am happily building up a budget that will help go towards (POSSIBLY) a better server, which means I can possibly bring HS01 back full-time. No promises there yet.

Christmas stuffs, not much happened. I took it upon myself to buy all my own decent gifts; This included all six Toa Masters (I'm keeping it going for ya, Jason), two Protectors (Earth and Water), LoSS, the Double Decker Couch and Bad Cop's new car set. Two of the Toa, LoSS, and the two Lego Movie sets are still in shipping as I type this, but I have four of the Toa already built (Lewa, Pohatu, Gali, Kopaka). I also treated myself to the EMP Museum up in Seattle on a slow day, which means I got to see the Vince Lombardi trophy the Seahawks won last year in person, plus a few other things that made my day. I absolutely love the EMP, it is a wonderful venue, and I look forward to the day when we return to it with even more Lego displays.

Currently debating whether or not to retire this laptop for a touchscreen to get ahead of Windows 10's release, or jus build a new desktop instead and let the laptop ride until summer. If I do the desktop method, I'd want a new monitor and peripherals too, so it'd probably cost the same as a touchscreen laptop. Halp?

Otherwise, not much else big is happening. It occurred to me while writing this that in 2 days I'll have been on BZPower for 12 years. That's an interesting thought; I'm only 27 years old, which means in three years I've have been on BZPower for half my lifetime exactly.

And with all that, I have only one more thing to say: Go Seahawks.

If you're a Washingtonian, then happy Kasey Keller Day : D

Since the majority of you are not, let me explain.

Kasey Keller is the Goalkeeper of the Seattle Sounders FC, the Major League Soccer franchise in Seattle, WA. He is actually playing his final home game of his career tonight in Seattle, as he is retiring at the end of the season. At last count, over 60,000 supporters will be going to CenturyLink Field (our home stadium, shared with the Seahawks) to watch. We cap the stadium at around 30,000 on normal games. Both the Seattle mayor and the Governor of Washington declared today Kasey Keller Day in the city of Seattle and the state of Washington.

Kasey Keller was born in Olympia, WA. He is a veteren of the game, playing for nearly 24 years around the world. He was also the United States Olympic team GK in 1996 (knocked out in the group stage), was a part of the US Men's National Team from 1990–2007 (making 102 apperances for them), and has served for nine seperate football (soccer) clubs. Awards include the CONCACAF Gold Cup (3 total: 2002, 2005 and 2007), the Football League Cup (one, 1996-97), and the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup (3, 2009, 2010 and 2011).

It's with pride to know that a 3-year franchise, the Sounders FC, started with such an honored player of the game. It is with deep regret the Sounders fans let him go, but at least he can go out with a bang.

And at least the Timbers aren't getting him.

So, 49.5% on progress for LEGO Star Wars III. I'm making good time on it.

Got sort of lost in the space scenes, but finally found where I was supposed to go to progress the game. After that? Smooth sailings.

Every planet is currently under Republic control. Come this time tomorrow, I hope to make it all Seperatist >: D

Currently I have x2 Multiplier, Stud Magnet, Dark Side, Glow-in-the-dark (don't ask), Minikit Detector, and Red Brick Detector purchased. I have finished all story levels in regular mode, I intend to go back through them shortly (after I get the ground and space battles out of the way.)

Long story short, best 54 bucks I ever spent all month. Also, I got talked into signing up for the GameStop PowerUp Rewards Pro program, so that's 550 points right there for this game, with another 1100 points coming thanks to Portal 2 and LEGO POTC. I'm a happy Swert.
  11. Swert
    No, seriously XD

Story behind it: We were talking, she commented she was waiting til she got tired enough to go to sleep (I've had to do that before XD) and I randomly said "I'd laugh if someone popped their head in on ya while you just got to sleep and said "HI LK!"

So she had me do it in comic form. Yaaay.

Now, if anybody would be willing to, my phone's on the floor. Please dial 911 and send the paramedics for me.

So, it's still dead before we go further. BUT! I talked with someone who owns an electronics repair shop in the same building I work in, and basically he'll check it out for free. I know it's a dead CPU, but let's let an "expert" tell me that.

Meanwhile, I'm still on the desktop (SWERT01) and my phone still works (SWERT05), and if all else fails I can go snag back my Zune (SWERT03). (If you're wondering, laptop was SWERT02, and SWERT04 is an internal hard drive in my SWERT01 computer. Thunderbirds references ftw... but fail because desktop is 01 D:)

So yeah, life will go on for now, I might be able to replace the CPU and mobo, but that'll cost money.

... Soon my lappy ;_; soooon. *pats cake graphic*

The only thing I truly miss about my laptop?

The inability to watch random stuff in my own room versus the living room, and the Windows Live Messenger custom emotes I collected over the year and a half I had it in.

    ;_;

... And watching random internet videos whenever I want.

    ... Okay, and my files.
  14. Swert
Alright, some HAPPY news. Aww yeah and stuff.

So my hard drive enclosure finally arrived. It takes the hard drive I own already, that being the laptop's hard drive, and converts it to a USB 2.0 based connection, thus effectively making it an external hard drive.

Advantages? All my stuff is now secured on SWERT04, via SWERT01, plus I have the ability to access this data at any time without opening up my computer to get to it.

Also, I'm closer to finding a replacement processor and motherboard, too. Yay is me.

Finally, http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/18258 SUPPORT! I want this to happen.
  15. Swert
So since I'm stuck on this machine I call SWERT01, I decided to reinstall TF2 onto it. I figure what the hey, I can at least go catch up on my items in the meantime.

Also, this is an actual conversation paraphrased I had earlier today:

"Hey folks, I'm bored and I'm downloading TF2, wanna watch a DVD?"
    "Sure, what?"
    "P·U·L·S·E?"
    "Sure."

    Best. Parents. Ever.

So yeah, watching that concert now. No complaints or thrown stuff at my head so far.

*Insert Freddie Mercury meme emote here*

So, I'm feeling pretty stoked with some of my buying options.

Tomorrow, I'm going to be buying an Iron Patriot (with gantry) from a friend. That's $22 well worth it right there.

After work, I'll be ordering the Eiffel Tower and Wyldstyle's motorcycle (I can't remember the direct set name off the top of my head) and a Joker keychain for my sister's birthday in June (eh, why not?) in addition to cashing in on the Martian Manhunter fig.

So yeah, that's 2 Superhero figs I'm getting for quite a bit more money than I should be spending on Lego right now.

    .... Everything is (expensive)!

I love the ninja redesign. Very well done.

Oh, also... BRICK. DETAILED. BRICKS. *MIND ASPLODES*

And please tell me I am not the only one who wants a ton of these ninjas to make an epic scene with.

I'll probably post more later as I see it.
