  1. Today we're announcing the BZPower 2014 Online Parts Draft, a great way to boost your constraction piece collection. We'll be drafting 70209 CHI Mungus from the Legends of Chima line, which wasn't available in North America. It costs $15 to buy in, which includes shipping ($5 extra for international members), and will get you a whole bunch of parts. Check out the BZPower Store for more info and to reserve your spot - we only have ten sets to draft, so spots will go quick! View the full article
  2. The BIONICLE website has a yet hidden Videos section featuring the known telling of The Legend and also a new video never seen before, titeled Masks of Power, though other than the title suggests, the video is more about the landing of the Toa than the masks. It's just thirty seconds but it leaves me hungry for more - I've already rewatched it several times and so should you! The animation is fantastic and the music is really cool and sets the mood, too. 3. Everybody's having sales for Black Friday, and LEGO is no exception. The United State's Shop.LEGO.com has a few deals going, and they'll last from Friday, November 27th, to Monday, December 1st. Read on to check on some of the sales to be had! View the full article
  4. The LEGO Minifigures Online MMO has introduced an Unlimited Membership. In case you don't know, Membership means you get to pay for a number of privileges and perks, like store discounts, additional in-game currency, a random minifigure every month and more. Unlimited Membership means you pay once and get all those perks for the game's entire lifespan instead of paying for a subscription. This weekend you can get it at a discounted price of USD 69.99 / GBP 49.99, though oddly enough I can't find the normal price on the website. You probably do when upgrading your account, though. 70 bucks is not too cheap but who knows how much money you could save if you actually pay regular subscription fees. View the full article
  5. It's Thanksgiving and LEGO wants us to be thankful for the return of BIONICLE, so they only give us more reason to: BIONICLE.com has been updated with new content. There is still not a lot as far as story is concerned (apart from the video we already know), but there is a lot of cool pictures of the island, the regions and even teasers for the first three episodes that look very promising. You can even download the comics from the sets' building instructions in decent quality and there are all the building instructions as well. It's definitely worth a look and I'm sure we're going to get even more awesome stuff soon! View the full article
  6. In between mouthfuls of turkey you should head over to the Flickr Contest 11/14 Voting topic and pick your favorite creation! There are nine great MOCs to choose from, and the winner will get theirs featured as the cover art for the BZPower Flickr group, plus a copy of 42022 Hot Rod. It's up to you to decide on the winner, so check out each one and decide which you like the best! View the full article
  7. Today in the United States we celebrate Thanksgiving, and from the Administration of BZPower I'd like to wish you all a happy holiday. I think we all have a lot to be thankful for this year - the return of our favorite toy line, a great community of people on the site, and an exciting future with Bionicle. I'd like to personally thank all our staff for keeping the site running smoothly and our members for making this an awesome community that I want to come back to each day. So enjoy your football, turkey, and sales, but keep in mind what you're thankful for too! View the full article
  8. LEGO has revealed the Minifigures Series 13 on their Facebook page (you will see a localized page so if you live outside the US, you may not see the reveal - you can check out the pictures on Leg Godt, though). After a (personally) not so exciting series 12 LEGO is returning with several fantastic new minifigures. I'm really fond of the King, Snake Charmer, Alien Trooper, Galaxy Trooper, Egyptian Warrior and the absolutely hilarious Hot Dog Guy. Which ones are you going to get? View the full article
  9. As we mentioned earlier in the month, the two-part LEGO Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu season finale will be airing tonight on Cartoon Network. You can check out Void and Titanium Ninja at 6PM Eastern - check their schedule to see when it will air for you. I'm looking forward to seeing how the season wraps up! View the full article
  10. It's been known for a while that there will be a couple more sets from The LEGO Movie coming out next year, and now there are some official animations out there to show off the sets. The LEGO Youtube page has posted short clips for , , and . The animations are short, but they do a good job at showing off the characters in the sets, as well as a few of the action features. The clips certainly give us something to look forward to next year. View the full article
  11. An interview with LEGO Ideas Birds project creator Tom Poulsom has revealed the next LEGO Ideas set: 21301 Birds will feature a masterfully crafted Blue Jay, Hummingbird and Robin consisting of 580 pieces with a cost of USD 44.99, beginning January 2015. The interview also gives us a look at the finalized box art and product picture. The presentation is fantastic and the three birds should look great on your desk or elsewhere. A worthy addition to the LEGO Ideas series! View the full article
  12. If you thought the LEGO House was an exclusive set, you're in for a shock. Word has broken recently of 4000016 Billund Airport, which will only have ten thousand sets made and only be available to people flying out of the actual airport. Promobricks has all the details as well as an interview with the designer, who happens to be an employee at the store. Book your tickets to Denmark for next month, when the set will go on sale. I doubt it will be around for long, so it's as good a time as any to use those frequent flyer miles. View the full article
  13. We're getting closer to wrapping up our 2015 Bionicle reviews. Today it's time to look at 70784 Lewa Master of Jungle, as reviewed by BZPower Forum Assistant Sisen. Will this adventurous Toa swing through the trees and into your collection? Or will he get caught up in the tangle of plants and vines? Keep reading to find out! View the full article
  14. He is tough as stone and absolutely rocks: Pohatu, the Master of Stone, is the subject of the latest Bionicle set review as we prepare for its return in January! The brown and stone sets have had a rough history over the years, but to see the color make a return is a welcome addition. Should this set be left in the dust or be shown off high on a plateau? Read, and watch, on to find out. View the full article
  15. Having survived a conference where nearly 200 Matoran were killed, a small group of survivors bands together with the residents of BZ-Koro, the island city where the deadly conference was located. Hunted by operatives of the White Council and fighting against the mysterious forces of Project Mayhem, they must not only survive this latest onslaught, but also prepare for war. Featuring members like Sumiki, fishers64, Burnmad, Xaeraz and Voltex, Bionicle Mafia: Book 2 - Extraction is a dark tale of betrayal and hope, as a small resistance battles against what feels like an endless wave of tyranny. Does that synopsis by Voltex Oblige sound interesting to you? Then go give it a read and make sure you have enough free time, there is quite a lot to catch up to. Be sure to give your feedback in the review topic! View the full article
  16. You read that right. As Phil Lord and Chris Miller (you should be aware of who those guys are by now) have revealed in an interview on Yahoo a week ago, they planned to give R2-D2 a role in the level of Batman's, figuring they could do that because R2 doesn't require a human voice actor, but ultimately film rights got in the way. The interview also details how they wanted the film to feel more like a fan film than a toy advert and how they struggled with the ending. It's a short but interesting read for everyone who watched the movie and looks forward to the sequel. View the full article
  17. The next update to the LEGO Minifigures Online MMO has been released earlier this month, this time bringing once again a new map: the dungeon of Lost Creations! You've got to admit, that portal looks quite cool. Not only that, but the game has now also been released for OS X so if you own a Mac, you no longer need to wait to play. You can now get bundles of Stars to upgrade your minifigures directly from the in-game shop, too. Sounds like players of the game have got some reasons to update their clients and new players may now want to give it a try. View the full article
  18. Another LEGO Ideas proposal has reached 10,000 supporters, and this time it comes from none other than Forum Assistant Nuju Metru! An avid Lord of the Rings fan, as one can tell from his extensive builds of castle-themed MOCs, he proposed a key setting in the Tolkien novels and movies: Minas Tirith. His creation will join the many other projects that will undergo scrutinization to see if it holds up to what LEGO wants to release through the Ideas line. Just yesterday I realized this set idea had about 200 supporters left, and now it passed the mark. Congratulations, Aaron! View the full article
  19. If you've been following the LEGO rumor mill lately this might not be a huge surprise, but today LEGO is announcing the latest Creator Expert modular building! 10246 Detective's Office continues the high bar set by other models in the line and features some amazing parts usage. This might just be the set that brings me into the modular building series. The set will be on display at AFOLCON in England next week, but if you're like most of us and won't be there you can read on to check out the designer video, pictures, and press release! 20. If you're looking for something to do tomorrow, why not tune into Cartoon Network? Starting at 8:30 AM Eastern they'll be showing Ninjago episodes all day until 5 PM, with one exception. At noon, they'll be showing the last two LEGO Legends of Chima episodes: Wings of Fire and Heart of Cavora. Then, at 5 PM, they'll be rebroadcasting LEGO: Batman Be-Leaguered. You can check their schedule to see what the times are by you. Sounds like a great LEGO-filled day! View the full article
  21. It's been a while, but now you can access the BIONICLE website once more by entering BIONICLE.com in your address bar - even BIONICLEstory.com works again! Less typing for everyone and less awkward directing people to LEGO.com/BIONICLE sound like a good thing to me. -- Adrian View the full article
  22. Our friends over at the French Bionicle fan site BIONIFIGS reminded us that their big event, BIONIFIGS Convention 4, will soon be here! You can find out all the full details on their site (there's an English version near the bottom). The event is next weekend, November 29th and 30th, in Bordeaux, and will be co-located with the international fan expo Fans de Briques LEGO. I bet it'll be a lot of fun and if you can make it you owe it to yourself to go! View the full article
  23. Are you guys getting bored of all these 2015 LEGO Bionicle reviews yet? Good, because neither are we! Today BZPower Forum Assistant Nuju Metru is back to take a look at 70781 Protector of Earth, the smaller, more purple Earth-themed set from the first wave. Will he burrow his way into your collection or will you leave him buried by bedrock? You'll have to read on to find out! View the full article
  24. The fine folks over at Brick Fanatics recently spread the news that Topps is putting out a line of LEGO Legends of Chima collectible stickers. Containing 240 different designs to collect, the stickers will feature characters, locations, and vehicles from the sets and show. What's more, they're being released starting today - in the UK at least. There's no word yet if these will be available in other regions, but if we hear anything we'll let you know!
