  1. Alarist. It's the one they stole from Onu-Clysmax (I think it was that one ) in Cold Truth. I'm a little fuzzy on the details now but I looked it up when I wrote it, so the details in EB are correct. It was in a random crate (and a random location in general) simply to make it hard for Team Cipher or others to find it and steal it back. Ah, I had forgot that Ice stole the Totem. Brings up the question though of why people on the Alarist end didn't just go through and find it, then smuggle it off-fragment or something.Thoughts on to the story at hand, in no particular manner:The Vordikama allusions are one of my favorite parts, as minor as they are (maybe because I just like Vakama as a character).I will admit that keeping up with all of the characters is proving challenging at times, but it's more the fault of this being a story on the internet that I can't read as continuously as a print book than any fault in the writing. It's been years since I read TSIBTF (Heck, it feels like years since I read CoT). The conflict between Lewa-Krana and Onua (cool idea on Onua's claws being gloves by the way) is the sub-story I'm the most into at the moment, but that can change with the tide of the narrative . Not much else to say other than a good ol' Nice chapter Bones, can't wait for more.-TLhikan

    Links

In the old forum, clicking on the link button allowed you to post a link in a single word. However, in the new posting, the link button only lets you turn a URL into a link. How do I embed a link in a picture or code with this new forum? Thanks in advance ,-TLhikan
  3. No, this is about the Expanded Multiverse. It has parallel universes, but it's it's own universe. Bones has a link in the top post to the old reference guide.
  4. Hmm... Well can't get around real life. Still, I was somewhat hoping that the EM would be around for quite a long time, and I know that it will, but I don't see too much interest remaining long after the Cipher Chronicles ends.
  5. Changes? Hmm.... Bones, who is writing the next Cipher Chronicles?
  6. Not very good at long reviews, but I will say that the story is still as good as always. My favorite part would be Hujo and Caroha in Aethion, but I did have a question about that:Why would Ice keep it's Olmak Totem in a random crate, and did that totem take them to Barrawahi or Alarist? Other than that, looking forward to more. Keep it up -TLhikan
  7. I do not think that Magnetism and Iron are the same, or that Earth and Stone are the same (sand is another matter). What I do think is that Psionics doesn't really work for me as an element. "Psionics" isn't a thing like earth or fire or even the force of magnetism, it's a set of powers. They all have to do with the mind, but you can't absorb "Psionics" or unleash a Nova blast of "Psionics".It also irked me that people accepted Psionics but rejected Kinetic Energy, but whatevs.
  8. The interesting thing is that while it's true that if any single on of the background Matoran had died the plot would be unchanged, if every single one of those individuals had died, it would have definitely changed the plot because something was killing off tons of people. Also, a lot of Dark Hunters didn't do much/anything. -TLhikan
  9. I was hoping for this question. :happydance:My approach here was to separate the question into two different questions -- yours, and "what does Kapura believe." I will answer the second, but I decided to purposefully not answer what is actually true. MNOG and Greg have always been cryptic about it, and personally, I dunno why, but in this case I like it that way. So I made it cryptic here on purpose.(Also note: the Paracosmos portrayal is almost certainly irrelevant to this story, because that Kapura was tapping into Unknown technology which doesn't exist here, and the Event may have altered him.)Something I have noticed, and loved, about MNOG Kapura was that he studiously avoids words like 'teleport', instead describing it in the ways I borrowed here; like be where he is not, and slow down enough to move fast. He also calls it a "secret art" which strongly implies he is tapping into something beyond him, though possibly he is different than others in order to be able to.In his own words, he is appealing to concepts that real-life scientists describe in much less poetic terms of quantum mechanics, which is a deeper level of physics than the superficial nature we are used to, and where things like being where you are not are possible. Kapura does not know Matoran-language equivalents of these scientific-style terms (and likely there are none) so he is not bogged down with their blandness, and he views it as much more meaningful.Ahh....Mundane ole' TLhikan always interpreted that as just "I'm good at pacing myself". -TLhikan
  10. Bones is probably busy with Paracosmos and Art contest stuff at the moment, not to mention real life. He'll get to this when he has the time.
  11. Was the last chapter of the Dynasty ever posted, because I remember reading the whole thing? Also, will the next Altacosmos be an epic or just a really long short story?
  12. Like the recent Bhukasa chapters (although wondering what happened/will happen to the other party members. Not a whole lot else to add other than still following the story and it's good work .-TLhikan
  13. This is very well written. A question: Does Kapura have an actual power that allows him to travel from place to place?
  14. This is something I put together in photoshop for a project; we printed it out and made a mousepad out of it. The finished mousepad looks like this, but grainyer and mirrored. Onua's corner is also a little blurred.Whaddaya guys think? -TLhikan
  15. There's a status on these forums? Cooool....

  16. Just finished reading the whole epic to this point, and it's as great as any BP story. A few thoughts:The chef is evil? Great, and I made Hujo eat all those Fau cakes in the RPG....Also, Blue Eyes is an interesting character. I was somewhat surprised (but shouldn't have been) that Surkahi seemed to know what he was.Other than that, cool action sequences, and the sand parts in the last few chapters have been pretty scary. Keep it up! -TLhikan
  17. Parts had been a chore for a while, due to trying to follow comedies that I didn't really like/find funny but wanted to support the author.Recently, there just doesn't seem like much to talk about. Their hasn't been a lot of EM updates recently, and that was what I spent most of my time on before whatever we're calling this recent downtime. -But Still TLhikan.
  18. A bit late to the party, but DERPY! DERPYDERPYDERPYDERPYDERPYDERPY! :OMG:Even without that, it was still an awesome episode. Cherrychongas. Also, at the end Rarity says that when they get back, she'll make Rainbow Dash pay. The next episode is RD in the hospital.
  19. On the whole mud thing, while it is a mixture of water and earth, they're still separate materials. I think a Toa of Water could control the water but leave a patch of dirt, while the Toa of Earth could control the dirt and leave a puddle. Presumably the same with, say slush and a Toa of Ice.On a side note, this reminds me of a time I asked Gregf how Magnetism and Iron were functionally different. -TLhikan
  20. TLhikan don't ship.Or use good grammar. For vids, there's a guy who takes theme songs and such and turns them into metal. The one for MIP:FIM is pretty sweet.
  21. So, there will be an undead skeleton who's a Prem Ref Masters/Forum Leader and possibly runs the inquiry to the mysterious third cosmos? :biggrin:Also, sorry if it's repetitive, but did you ask Swert or TN if they liked/hated the IHFF idea?Oh, and lore question: Does the Ice Fragment have access to Clysmax's Cargo Star?
  22. First off, I may have the name wrong, but as I remember, their was a community project thing around the time the old forums died about a official (as in canon) planet the nature etc. of which would be decided by the community. Did this just die, is it still out there?
  23. Not really complicated, but an excellent aesthetics build. I like the use of the gold armor.-TLhikan
