    This is weird, I'm actually in the same time zone as a lot of people here. Me and dad are just leaving our hotel and will be arriving at Sumiki's house in approximately four and a half hours.

    Provided there are no delays, right now I should be boarding the plane at Dublin airport and will shortly be taking off. The flight will last about 7 hours, so it'll be very boring.

    Our plane aborted on takeoff. There's something wrong with one engine and we all had to disembark. The airline doesn't know what's going to happen - if they can fix the engine we might be able to fly in a couple of hours, if not, I don't know. Not a great start to the trip.

    I've only just got a half decent torso for it. This will have to do for Brickfair. I'll touch it up tomorrow (Fill some gaps and give the legs and arms a bit more attention) and then it'll be dismantled and packed.

    July 27th - Fly from Dublin to Dulles, stay at hotel for the night
    July 28th - Drive to Sumiki's house
    July 29th - August 1st - Stay at Sumiki's house (This will be awesome)
    August 2nd - 5th - BRICKFAIR (This will be even more awesome)
    August 6th - Fly home

    Visa

    So in order to travel to the US me and my Dad both need a Visa. Mine is still valid from last year, but Dad had to renew his for this year. You have to fill out this online form thing in order to validate it and I had forgotten how good some of the questions were. You have to confirm that you're not a Nazi or a terrorist.

    Say there's this alternate version of me. He's grown up without all the ailments real me has. He's much healthier, he's much happier, less burdened, he's doing well academically and he's well set up for life.
     
    He's also far more naive. He's far more insensitive. He wouldn't understand a lot of things I understand. He wouldn't feel a lot of things I feel. I don't even know if I'd like him.
     
    It seems backwards, but the version of me that knows and feels less would be the one much better off.
     
    Which version would you choose?

    I Just Realized

    I think my PMship is due to expire soon. I've been renewing it annually since ...2008, I think, but normallly in December. The 2011 downtime meant I didn't need to last Christmas. I guess I'll renew it before it expires.

    Okay, here goes. You'll need the following:
     

     

     
    Insert the hook like so. The half bushings are important, because they align the hook correctly and also provide friction to keep it in.
     

     
    Rotate the trigger whilst inserting the hook further. Keep pushing until it's in as far as it can go.
     

     
    Done! If it's in place properly, the tip of the hook should be touching the trigger and you should be able to knock this about without anything coming loose.
     

     
    And just note that the half bushings should be as far up as possible like they are there, as they have bad grip if they're sitting lower down in the barrel.
