Well, the other reason is that 6IVs are only really useful for Mixed Attackers/Defense. =P

New research at Smogon reveals that , unlike previously speculated, using the Masuda Method while having the Shiny Charm does increase the shiny chance, upping it to about 1:400 (Source, if it means anything).

 

Unfortunately I can't get the Shiny Charm until bank comes out. ;-; Though it's back out in Japan.

 

 

Also the best place to level anything is Restaurant Le-Wow but it's more of a late game thing, and since you're trying to level a Ralts you're probably not there yet. =P Other than that I occasionally use the Battle Chateau to level things. The trainers there won't be the strongest at the beginning but their levels increase as you battle them.

Go for Squirtle if you want the unpopular one; Charmanders are everywhere and I get the occasional Bulbasaur from Wonder Trade, but haven't gotten a Squirtle, none that I remember, anyway.

 

Bought X for myself, I think I'm going to Nuzlocke it. Standard rules, but boxing the dead instead of releasing them, shiny clause, and I'm catching Xerneas because I don't have it yet. =P

And I hatched the shiny Squirtle! Took 4 boxes, and I didn't notice that it was shiny at first. =P Shiny Kanto starters complete. Starting on the Kalos starters and when the bank comes out, I plan to MM for the rest of the starters.

It sucks how the Pokebank was delayed.. I spent an entire day grinding in Pearl just to get a Glameow. :<

 

I hatched a shiny Bulbasaur and Charmander yesterday with MM, both under a box of eggs. =D Going for Squirtle, but it's being more stubborn.

Is your goal to get a shiny every day? =P Nevertheless, congrats on it. ^-^

 

Set up a competitive team, bred two Mons for it and have two for it already, so I just have to breed two more. Excited about this time, hopefully it'll work as well as I planned it to.
