  1. I feel tempted to find a way to have people sell Timelord into slavery as a pirate slave so he gets 'his' pirate gang in a dark twist but I feel that's just too mean I would totally name one of the pirates 'Pyrat' because that is a 10/10 name
  2. Just woke up Epilogue: Tajun: 2 replies Epilogue: Iconox: 3 replies Epilogue: Vulcanus: 4 replies Epilogue: Tesara: 30 replies Oh dear, Tesara. Oh dear.
  3. As a note, here is what I assume: Burnmad and Quin were leaving, so they will be in Vulcanus (as will Pahrak, who is still imprisoned there) FF, and Smoke Monster were leaving, so they will be in Iconox Jungle players will remain at Tesara, as will Terrorsaur Toru and Voltex will head to the lab. Onaku and ShadowVezon will remain in Roxtus
  4. Hyethut grasps the Mask of Life, bashes the Mask of Life on the thing that can be best described as Annona's 'body' as he begins to feel Annona try to meddle with his own mind. The Mask of Life doesn't simply break, as intended - but instead explodes, the impossibilities of Annona's body confusing the basic intelligence within the mask now that it is no longer host to Annona. Annona is not life. Annona is not death. Annona is wrong, a being that should not exist. Annona has made a mockery of life, and here it was, trying its best to comprehend - to no avail. And such an explosion has severe consequences. For everyone. Those who had exploded into the red paste that had partially coalesced into Annona's body found themselves alive once more, screaming out in incomprehensible pain as Annona's flesh twisted and turned back into the Agori and Skrall they had once been, incomprehensible limbs folding into comprehensible, recognisable limbs. Annona melts, significantly weakened, as if they had never been brought into this world at all - until all that remains is some very confused Agori and Skrall in a puddle of blood and liquefied flesh, centred around the corpse of Nato. There was no sign of whatever became of the Mask of Life. Hyethut, whether intentionally or not, has just saved Bara Magna from its fate. He lied unconscious, just outside of Tesara. The threat was over - the Skrall were defeated, and Annona had been sent back to their own dream, unable to interact with the waking world once more. Episode Nine has ended. Let's all take a break before we begin the Epilogue.
  5. Toru: Resist: Intelligence: 7 + 9 = 16 Timelord: Irrelevant --- Toru, against all odds, resists the urge to sleep, and the urge to dream. Instead, Annona's influence is kicked out of his mind - and he is now more lucid than he has ever been. --- The troops of Tesara do not need concerning. Whatever Annona was - it was a threat, and Hyethut was their general - ad thus, they did exactly as Timelord asked. --- Terrorsaur soon has a massive concussion, a migraine, as Annona is trying to remove his will to do anything but dream. Terrorsaur has lost much, hallucinating Jed, Underscore, and Manducus' faces merged together in the ground beneath him, staring at him, judging him. A trick to erode his will. But Terrorsaur isn't dead, or gone yet.
  6. Toru: Resist: Strength: 7 + 5 = 12 Much to Toru's horror, there's not much to resist - at least physically, and the tentacle soon curls back up to Annona, its job done. Instead, Toru is beginning to feel somewhat lethargic. Dream. Dream. There is only the dream. Submit to the dream, T O R U .
  7. Toru: Intelligence: 7 + 3 = 10 Toru tries to get back into his thornatus, but trips over it. A red tentacle begins to coil around his right leg. Voltex, however, reaches Toru.
  8. Hyethut manages to stand up, approaching the Mask of Life. His vision - no, his mind - is blurring. Annona is knocking at his mind's door, ready to make him a being that only dreamed. Whatever Hyethut planned, time was of the essence. Moreso now than at any other time.
  9. People set out to destroy the Skrall Accidentally unleash an eldritch abomination
  10. The Mask of Life floats upon Nato's face, attaching itself, and soon constricting his ability to breath - as if the Mask had a will of its own - which it very much did. The Mask, rather than the Great Spirit the Great Beings had created, was now host to the entity that had created the dream. The entity that had robbed so many of their will, the entity that had destroyed their mind and puppeted them as its hands. The same entity that indirectly cursed Nato, yet for whatever reason keeping its promise to not involve the Iron Agori. The Mask glows extremely brightly, and soon Nato's flesh begins to change, expanding and stretching into red flesh as the red paste that used to be dreamers coalesces into flesh itself, joining the being that had formed using Nato's body as a basis, the being that was incomprehensible to look out, the being whose flesh folded in impossible ways and simultaneously reached into your mind simply by looking at it. Annona was free to roam the realm beyond their own dream once more, many beings ripe to be made into mindless slaves that did nothing more but dreamt the dreams that Annona sustained on. Nato is no more. And then the Mask of Life falls to the ground, the red-fleshed thing known as Annona no longer needing it. Tesara falls silent. ...But perhaps there's still a use for the Mask of Life yet, if Bara Magna could survive.
  11. OOC: Voltex, you can now walk. Removed the part about it tearing through your leg. Poor choice of words on my part. --- The Mask of life glows, begging to be used. Through his entire body, Nato can feel a great energy flowing through him as he grasps it. ' F L E S H ' flashes in Nato's mind.
  12. Voltex, you are not 'fighting' against a NPC, you are fighting against a player who made a successful roll. I don't want to have to invalidate Terrorsaur's actions the same way I invalidated Timelord's actions in the In Transit original PM - I don't want to overstep my boundaries as a host. Any injuries that anyone may have had can be reversed with the right tool. --- FF: You can see the Mask. You can see a violent squabble involving an Iron Agori, a Water Agori, an Ice Agori, and few Fire Agori. Maybe you can get the mask while everyone's distracted. Few others seem interested in it, for whatever reason. --- current status: Skrall have surrender-suicided. Dreamers have literally exploded No more fire. The Mask of Life has been reforged, it is floating slightly above the ground from afar. All that remains is a squabble between Terrorsaur, Burnmad & Quin, and Voltex, Nato. FF, Lan, Toru, Andekas, Hyethut, and Smoke Monster. From this point on until the end of the episode due t o the above issues, we will dispense of stats and RNG rolls. Do what you do as long as it is reasonable, use your own judgement. This is your game, not mine, and let's not delay the end any further than we have to due to waiting for me to post your roll results.
  13. Nato: The Final Throw: Intelligence: 8 + 9 = 17 The tongs fly through the air, landing in the middle of the shards - and then, they melt into each other, plant-life violently erupting from the ground around it. Until suddenly, there is an otherworldly screech ringing through the air, the many Agori and Skrall who had been dreaming nearby exploding into nothing but a red paste that definitely isn't the flesh you find inside Skrall or Agori normally, the molten pool of shards suddenly reforming into the Mask of Life - missing only a sixth of itself. Quin feels a faint burning as the thornax fired by Nato hits the ground in front of him, and then his own shard is gone, close enough to the now almost complete mask to be sent flying toward it. --- Terrorsaur: The Final Betrayal: Agility: 5 + 10 = 15; 7 + 4 = 11 (Average: 13) Terrorsaur's remaining troops fire upon Voltex and Nato, knocking the thornax launcher out of Nato's hands and causing Voltex to stumble. --- And then the Mask of Life is whole again. Just out of everyone's reach, glowing, floating above the ground. Just in time to either completely doom Bara Magna, or save it. --- are you ready
  14. (Also the part where the final shard left a trail of grass and plantlife when Quin lost it before re-recovering it. Yes, Tuma dropped his sword and launcher.) Terrorsaur: Trident Through Voltex: Strength: 6 + 9 = 15; Luck: 7 + 8 = 15 (Average: 15) Timelord: Normality: Intelligence: 9 + 5 = 14 FF: Get in Thornatus: Agility: 7 + 8 = 15; Luck: 6 + 3 = 9 (Average: 12) Voltex: Aim: Intelligence: 10 + 10 = 20 Burnmad: Fire at Voltex: Intelligence: 9 + 9 = 18; Luck: 6 + 8 = 14 (Average: 16) Burnmad: Pick Up Quin: Strength: 5 + 8 = 13 --- FF quickly enters his own Thornatus, starting it up and beginning to move. --- Timelord finds a few normal Jungle Agori, dumbfoundedly watching the scenario unfolding out before them and just as confused as most people are. Moments before they'd been commanded to fire on Vulcanus by an Iron Agori of all people, while being accompanied by some very weird other Agori, after having seen Tuma wither away. --- Terrorsaur, disappointed with the actions of Voltex and Nato, throws his trident at Voltex... --- Voltex feels a piercing pain in his kidneys, and feels slightly lighter - his satchel of shards has just been torn open, and they are scattered around and between the desert soils and foliage, including the 'flail' shard . Ignoring this for a moment, he fires and drives at the Cendox - which itself fires back. Both drivers of both vehicles are soon sent tumbling out, though Burnmad grabs onto Quin and prevents Quin from losing his own shard. --- The five shards on the ground soon begin to move on their own, closer to each other, glowing very brightly as if to get Quin's attention. --- FINAL STRETCH.
  15. OOC: wow Burnmad: Perceive: Intelligence: 9 + 2 Burnmad: Power Slide: Intelligence: 9 + 7 = 16 Quin: Grab On: Agility: 6 + 4 = 10 Voltex: Convince Non-Dreamers: Intelligence: 10 + 5 = 15 Toru: Figure out what's going on: Intelligence: 7 + 8 = 15 Hyethut: Bluff: Intelligence: 7 + 8 = 15; Luck: 6 + 9 (Average: 12) FF: Find Thornatus: Intelligence: 6 + 8 = 14; Luck: 6 + 10 = 16 Smoke Monster: Interest: Intelligence: 6 + 9 = 15 --- From a distance, Smoke Monster can see things growing tense to the south, between Voltex, Nato, and Terrorsaur, and a lot of strange things happening with regards to 'dreaming' Skrall and Agori - especially with how they seem to serve Nato, and by extension, Voltex. Most peculiarly, to the south, outside of Tesara and just barely visible is a small, symmetrical ridge. It doesn't look like anything special, but it definitely wasn't there before. --- Toru dismounted from his Thornatus, trying to get his bearings on what was going on. From a distance, it looked like an utter mess, but Toru soon understood - whatever Quin had, Nato and Voltex wanted, and there was some sort of rapidly increasingly violent argument between them, and that whatever Nato had become, there was much of the same few things Toru had seen at Roxtus - 'dreaming' Agori and even Skrall. --- Burnmad, having recently arrived at Tesara, perceives that many Skrall and Agori are acting strangely, like they are not just Skrall or Agori, but the hands of something he cannot comprehend. He doesn't notice that they are being ordered around by Voltex, but by Nato instead. Regardless - a Skrall is still a Skrall, acting strangely or not, and any Skrall acting strange is still met with a hail of fire, slowing down three of the Elite Skrall and knocking out (or killing) one more. Quin, General of Vulcanus and the carrier of the sole remaining shard, dashed to the Cendox, a vehicle driven by Vulcanus' leader, Burnmad - who does a power-slide to let Quin grab on, however Quin, instead of grabbing on, misses just barely and trips over. --- Voltex, taking opportunity of Quin's failure to grab onto the Cendox, expresses his interest in acquiring the shard. Iconox had almost lost its independence to the Skrall, and much of its population in a civil war. Tajun had lost its leaders, as had Roxtus. Tesara ha burnt. Only Vulcanus had come out unscathed so far - and in the world of Bara Magna, Vulcanus happened to be a very good target now that Tuma was dead - especially as long as it held such a weapon like one shard. At Voltex's command, dreamers and non-dreamers alike, Agori of Water, Ice, and Jungle alike, fired thornax upon the Cendox. And then, Voltex entered the Thornatus. --- Hyethut, standing tall upon the roofs and overlooking much of the Skrall forces successfully bluffs roughly just over half of the remaining Skrall forces, who, rather than become prisoners of Tesara or face Tesara's steel, begin impaling themselves on their own swords, knowing they have failed. The rest of the Skrall, however, continue forward, faces blank as if they had never heard anything, as if they had some entire other objective and answered to something entirely different - some die or are injured, but they do not care, and they do not fight back. --- The Agori trailing Andekas tells him that Hyethut still at the northern gate, probably still fighting. --- FF, peeking out, instantly finds and sees his Thornatus, it's ready to be driven, although there is a dream-Agori looking as if they are about to get into it. --- Terrorsaur is beginning to fear that while the Skrall forces have been more or less defeated, the tribes of Bara Magna are about to begin infighting. Everyone wants those shards - --- D R E A M --- OOC: -The Skrall have stopped fighting back entirely, with the surrender of the normal Skrall and the dreamers focused on something else entirely. -All that remains is the last shard, or the five other shards depending on who you are. -hmm, cendox, thornatuses...
  16. will be away for a few hours, will be back some time later, sorry bzpbm

  17. Quin: Run to Cendox: Agility: 6 + 6 = 12 Smoke Monster: Observe from a secure spot: Intelligence: 6 + 1 = 7; Luck: 6 + 10 = 16 (Average: 12) Nato: D R E A M : Intelligence: 8 + 7 = 15; Luck: 5 + 6 = 11 (Average: 13) Smoke Monster finds a secure spot within a bush, and observes the scene of the shard. --- Quin successfully runs to the Cendox, driven by Burnmad. There is a problem: ten Elite Skrall are chasing. And soon, many more regular Skrall, And them, with Nato's words, many of the Skrall begin dreaming, their wills weak because of the loss of their leader. Those that had previously charged south begin doing so again, many simply pushing past the various Agori forces present. --- Twenty Jungle Agori approach Nato, Voltex, and Timelord, surrounding Timelord, repeating Nato's words. "There is only the dream." --- The fire that had previously been spreading is dying down significantly, having never reached the same intensity of the previous fire and the one who commanded it dead, the ones who perpetrated it leaderless. --- the shards
  18. Voltex: Attack Tuma: Intelligence: 10 + 10 = 20 Smoke Monster: Snipe Tuma: Irrelevant FF: Look Around: Intelligence: 6 + 4 = 10; Luck: 6 + 6 = 12 (Average: 11) --- Terrorsaur sees the charging Skrall stop - they have seen something mystifying. And soon, so does Terrorsaur. --- Burnmad arrives at Tesara, a mystifying sight before him and his soldiers - 'No Skrall' is simpler than it sounds, much simpler, for there are very few Skrall in the south of Tesara right now. And then, even fewer. --- Smoke Monster goes to aim - but soon stops, a mystifying sight before him, and a great weight taken off him. --- Quin does not get a reply from Tuma - nor does Nato's offer of mercy ever reach Tuma's ears. Perhaps they are horrified by what they see. Voltex has struck Tuma with the flail, and within seconds, Tuma is withering away into dust - dying, falling, cursing Nato and the force he knows is manipulating Nato. "You will bring more doom to Bara Magna than Skrall ever will." Those were his last words - unaware that Voltex had struck the killing blow. Tuma has fallen. His Skrall still remain. Fortunately for Quin, Burnmad has come with support - and thornax are now firing upon the Skrall, elite and dream-controlled alike, a surprise attack that is piercing their armour. If Nato and Voltex wanted that last shard - the time to act was now, a group of twenty Jungle Agori approaching. --- FF can see Tuma wither away into dust suddenly, Nato, Voltex, and Quin near the withered dust that used to be Tuma - Quin carrying the shard, and Voltex carrying the five others. --- The shards are in very close proximity to each other, between Quin and Voltex... and Voltex has a weapon that kills near-instantly.
  19. Toru: Aim: Intelligence: 7 + 7 = 14 Smoke Monster: Shoot Tuma: Strength: 7 + 4 = 11; Luck: 6 + 2 = 8 (Average: 10, rounded up from 9.5) --- Toru re-aims the force blasters on his Thornatus after accidentally leaving a watchtower almost crumbling - and with a final strike, his forces and the Force Blasters whittle the Skrall down at the southern gate all the more. 25 Skrall remain in the south. --- Terrorsaur's forces form a second wall of flesh and exsidian, firing their thornax at the approaching Skrall - slowing them down, but not slowing them down enough. --- Smoke Monster takes aim at Tuma once more - and fires, though this time he misses. --- FF, trying to be quiet and leading most of his jungle Agori, follows the 20 dreamers - taking out four that fall behind. Either they do not notice, do not care, or their attention is more focused on one thing: the glowing shard. --- Seven of the dream-Skrall run to intercept and fight the Elite Skrall, the sole remaining one accompanying Voltex to Tuma, Nato, and Quin - and... --- Tuma stares at Nato intensely, and intently, making direct eye contact (though trying not to let Quin out of his sight) He doesn't lower his sword, nor order the Skrall to retreat. He doesn't smile, nor does he grunt or snarl. Rather, there is a look of slight terror just barely perceptible in his eyes as he looks at the dream-Skrall fighting his own Elite Skrall. "You have what the Sisters seek... what the Hunters have sought..."
  20. Smoke Monster: Opportunity: Intelligence: 6 + 5 = 11; Luck: 6 + 6 = 12 (Average: 12) Terrorsaur: What's going on: Intelligence: 7 + 4 = 11 --- The Jungle Agori replies to FF, "They are already deserting in my eyes. We can't afford to have our own forces work against us. I am sure Lan will understand - this has never happened before today." --- Terrorsaur enters Tesara. Around him, he sees the village burning slowly, tended to by many Jungle Agori. Big problem though: to the north there's a very large group of Tesara's soldiers, trying to hold Skrall back - and a lot of Skrall are leaping over them, charging as one to the south. Toward Terrorsaur. Toward the glowing shards. --- Smoke Monster passes by Terrorsaur, noting that the watchtower near the southern gate with a weakened foundation. --- Voltex makes his approach toward Tuma, Nato, Quin, ten Elite Skrall, with eight dream-Skrall, joining in with the scramble for the shard. --- this is going to end really chaotically isn't it
  21. Smoke Monster: Escape: Agility: 6 + 7 = 13; Luck: 6 + 7 = 13 (Average: 13) Hyethut: Aim: Intelligence: 7 + 6 = 13 Quin: Get Shard: Strength: 9 + 3 = 12; Agility: 6 + 5 = 10 (Average: 11) Timelord: Ram: Intelligence: 9 + 7 = 16 --- FF is pulled aside by a normal Jungle Agori. "Sir, should we execute them? This isn't normal behaviour - what if it's a Skrall trick?" --- Smoke Monster runs down the stairs of the building, making sure not to stumble and fall this time, and darts off to the southern gate. --- Hyethut's forces at the northern gate form their wall of flesh and steel, the bulk of the Skrall force colliding into the Agori forces and visibly pushing them back a noticeable amount. Hyethut, thinking quickly, aims at the walls above the gates - and hits them almost exactly where he wanted to, causing the walls to crumble down upon the back line of the Skrall rushing forward - preventing the Skrall's retreat or their escape. The Skrall, thinking quickly, begin to organise their forces in an odd formation - the front lines are holding their shield out, and seemingly sacrificing themselves to the swords and spears of Tesara, the second line holding them up, the third holding them behind ,and the rest using said shields as ramps to leap over Tesara's forces... --- "We dream," the eight Skrall say to Voltex. They look directly at the glowing shard near Tuma and Quin. --- Andekas runs as quickly as he could to get to the southern gate of Tesara, though he is being chased by an ally who has a message for him - a Jungle Agori wishes to tell him to tell him to blow up a wall or a tower to create an alternate exit. --- Agori try to tie spears onto the two Thornatuses within Tesara at Timelord's command, with the intent of ramming the Skrall. The thing is, only one of the Thornatuses is doing as Timelord asked. The other stops just before Timelord, its driver, a Jungle Agori named Piruk, getting out and walking over to Timelord. The problem was, Timelord had threatened an ally of Nato, who was nearby. Piruk begins to speak to Timelord, holding out their sword. "Do not threaten the dream." Following that, the one Thornatus rammed into the Skrall, taking the Skrall at the southern gate to only 40 - less than half their original size, and even more injured. --- Quin quickly grabs the shard and puts it into sack, the hand used to pick it up slowly ageing, and then sees the foot of Tuma appear right in front of him - followed by an Ice Agori, Nato. Tuma sneered at Quin. "Give that here." - and Quin can hear the ten Elite Skrall approaching from behind. --- It is looking as if this will become more than a simple battle between the tribes and the Skrall.
  22. (Psst, Nato has the glorified tongs) (post will be up soonish)
  23. OOC: Andekas - you are still at the northern gate. Tuma has gone south. Quin: Run to the Shard: Strength: 9 + 7 = 16; Agility: 6 + 9 = 15 (Average: 16, rounded up from 15.5) Nato: Dodge: Agility: 8 + 6 = 14 Terrorsaur: Is the shard safe: 7 + 2 = 9 --- Nato dodges the thornax fired at him, the thornax exploding on the trail of grass. Tuma smiles again. "Atero, by now, will be no more - have you ever looked closely at their blades? Their helmets? The only tribe they do business with without raiding? Atero is simply a first of many villages to fa..." Tuma trails off, dashing away for the glowing shard. --- Quin darts past the Elite Skrall suddenly, slashing a few in their legs as he does so - hoping that they would be slowed down. Small problem, or more like big problem: Tuma is approaching the shard too. --- Terrorsaur determines that going after the shard is a really good idea despite the Fire Agori, ten Elite Skrall, Tuma himself, and Voltex with the shard-flail he knows can kill near-instantly. --- The Jungle Agori back away - the intensity of the words uttered by Voltex is more than enough warning, and they are more terrified of you, with the strange glowing bag, strange glowing flail, than they are of the Skrall they are supposed to be fighting. Voltex approaches the shard, and can see Tuma, Quin, and ten Elite Skrall all heading for it. A lone group of nine Skrall is watching, rather than taking the opportunity to back up their fellow Skrall - which is quite strange.
