Years ago, my parents painted my room using a sponge. Somehow, a skull-shaped mark showed up on the wall. That "skull" haunted me for years.

    Until today.

So I'm getting my room redesigned to look like a hotel room. (I don't think it will come up looking exactly like one.) Today we started painting the walls. I grabbed a roller and painted an entire wall. Then, I crushed the skull. I painted dead over it. Now it's gone for good.

Oh and by the way I'm not doing the kit anymore.

got the Protectors of Earth and Stone

the Earth one is a really solid set well worthy of accompanying Onua

the Stone one is pretty lame in comparison, and no one will ever be able to convince me that burnt orange and transparent neon lime green is in any way a good color scheme, especially when blurry leaked images actually made them look more like the flatter transparent yellow

Already I'm considering firing someone from TMU.

On another note I'm also thinking about starting a DA-exclusive comic series there with the Toon kit.

Being a regular visitor of the Comics forum, I've pretty much read terrible comics of every variety, from the boring comics injected with failed attempts at humor to the comics which ultimately end up being absolutely hilarious for all the wrong reasons. However, I've always been particularly bitter about comics made with the MNOLG kit. It doesn't have anything to do with the fact that they're using one of the kit's numerous reuploads (though that makes me a little bitter too, I still can't figure that one out).

I guess seeing the kit reminds me of the days when a friend of mine wrote comics using it (come on, you know who you are). Maybe I'm remembering them to be better than they actually were, or maybe I'm being too hard on myself (because I literally can't think of the comics I made back then without cringing, which is part of why I rebooted them a while back). But honestly, I'm reading his comics again now and I can still say they're better than most of the stuff that goes on here nowadays.

So, yeah, seeing MNOLG comics now makes me bitter, but a lot of that bitterness comes from nostalgia. It was just a carefree time when I was happy and just enjoyed everything I did, no matter how lackluster or terrible it was. And that's probably the thing I miss the most, since it's not something I can really say anymore.

If there's one thing I can safely say I really like more about now than back in the old days, it's that the friends I have now are a lot closer than the ones I had back then. (Come on, you guys should know who you are too.) You guys are all great, and I couldn't ask for better friends even you paid me. And I love getting paid for stuff. Also, I'm better at writing comics. A lot better.

Wow, this spiraled in a different direction quickly. Also, is that a Faxon next to my proto bar? Man, I'm old.

Seems like my blog is divided into three categories: my comics, random nonsense (like that entry about Gavla and his incorrect theory on my username, which led to worse ones) and rants about the Cafeteria from the Black Lagoon.

    Yep. Another one.

This one involves my lunch. Twice.

First day, I look in one line and there's Frito Casserole. Suffice to say it's awful. I didn't get it, of course. Other line wasn't too great either. So I went to the school store and bought a chocolate muffin, and that was my lunch.

Today wasn't much better. I bought a supposedly "beef and bean cheese burrito".

Turn out it was an IMITATION HOT POCKET. Lasagna-flavored, too.

Simply put, that isn't a "beef and bean cheese burrito".

I went back to the school store in hopes of muffins but they were sold out. So I bought some sour candy. Wasn't much better for me than a muffin, but oh well.

Oh, and I threw away my imitation Hot Pocket.

    No buttermilk pie.

This might show more detail and a reason why it differs from Rayg- rather than merely editing Nuva armor on, I edit the legs a little and make the sprite taller, similar to the sets.

Also, expressions are not included in the kit, so you'll have to edit the expressions.

All right, people. Here's the news.

Unfortunately I really don't feel like making TMUCW anymore. I dislike Rayg (because none of my stuff there was really noticed and I held that grudge throughout all this time) and my laptop doesn't have Glass Gauge, the font I used in them.

    So my question is...

Should I spoil the ending of TMUCW or not?

I know it sounds wrong, but it would be easier for me. There's just a lot of things in between comic series I'd rather explain than show. And frankly I'd rather work on the new series.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «The new Paper Mario for 3DS is pretty much saving his career after the epic catastrophe that is Super Paper Mario.
Also, the new Kirby game is adorable yet bizarre. It feels like Kirby... and yet it doesn't.

Oh, and the new Link looks weird.

I know I didn't go over this in the last blog entry, but I'm sure if you remember me at all for some reason, you're probably curious as to where I've been or what I've been doing. The short answer is "none of your ding-danged business."
I will say this, however: I do have a handful of things I was working on that were meant to be seen by the BZP public. This includes PIRAKA COMICS, which I know I haven't posted in what, three years? Yikes. Anyway, I've still got plenty of ideas left for it and they're all super amazing and I'm definitely looking forward to unleashing them upon an unsuspecting BZP audience. However, at this point in my life these things unfortunately need to take lower priority.
Yeah, sorry about this being so vague. I will say this, though: I'm still here. I've always been here. I just don't post because, well, I really don't have anything to say these days.

Here, I am taking REQUESTS for things you want to ask me, TOA IGNITER! I will respond to your QUESTIONS in a manner worthy of the TOA INIKA.

    Now ask away, PIRAKA!

NOTE: Answers from Toa Igniter may have mixed results if attempted in real life. May be dangerous if taken seriously.

I have returned, PIRAKA SCUM! And once again, I, TOA IGNITER, have hijacked PIRAKA VEZOK'S blog in order to start an ASK COLUMN to secretly find information on where you are keeping the TOA INIKA!

So if you, the PIRAKA menace, are bold enough to challenge the great hero TOA IGNITER, then ask me QUESTIONS!

(Disclaimer: If you take ask columns way too seriously, this ask entry is not for you. If you take dreaming about farm animals way too seriously, BZPower is not for you. Just sayin'.)
  12. Nathan Evo
AHA! In my quest to find the TOA INIKA I, TOA IGNITER have kidnapped PIRAKA VEZOK and put him in a DARK CLOSET in my SECRET BASE! Thus, I am back to answer your UNANSWERED QUESTIONS, PIRAKA!

Now ask away, PIRAKA! Ask QUESTIONS or face the wrath of my ZAMOR SPHERE LAUNCHER!

(WARNING: Advice offered from Toa Igniter should never be considered in real life, especially if he says things like "You will never find love because you are a PIRAKA, PIRAKA!". Please refrain from asking personal questions that you will actually be inclined to take seriously. Thank you for your support.)

I found a website that kind of has a video-game music archive. Though they aren't the originals, they are pretty cool songs. I liked one so much I actually saved the target.

This is a big deal, people.

Oh, and if you're looking for a link, then sorrry. (Yes, with three "r"s. (Yes, I copied off VTK.)) The website has forums. Major no-no on BZP. This is why I didn't put the site name.

sounds cool and all but the prize is totally going to be a clear Tahu mask and I've already got one of those and while I'd love to win a second one just so some of you more obnoxious-types can't have it I just can't bring myself to win something I already have

plus I'm kinda terrible at MOCing

Honestly I was kinda torn about writing this because obviously I'm going to be shot down, but I really want to get this off my chest.

I don't WANT Bionicle to return.

I know, it's likely not going to get the most positive feedback on a bonkles forum, but everything about this just feels... wrong.

First off, if this happens, I shudder at the thought of the reactions. Primarily those of the bring-back-bonkles crowd- the whiniest, most obnoxious part of the fandom, now celebrating and dancing on Hero Factory's grave because they "won" by throwing temper tantrums over a toy line ending and LEGO took notice. I doubt that was the case. Besides, what are they going to do once New Bonkles ends?

And then there's Hero Factory. I'm not calling it flawless- it was pretty far from that. Unresolved cliffhangers, a highly groanworthy TV program (honestly, can we even call it a show?), and, of course, the now-infamous Nathan Evo scene where he almost killed a bunch of babies just because one member of their species happened to be a criminal.

That being said, Invasion from Below is possibly the worst place for the series to end- with an ending slopped together in the last twelve hours of production featuring the complete genocide of a species and yet another unresolved cliffhanger. I have to admit this doesn't really have much to do with bonkles, but if we could see at least one more Hero Factory wave that somewhat resembled an ending before bonkles' triumphant return or whatever the next constraction line is comes out, that'd be a lot better than what we have now. Unfortunately, given LEGO's track record, I sincerely doubt that'll happen.

And lastly, possibly the biggest reason I don't want bonkles returning is because if it returns, it'll be, well, bonkles. Getting anything resembling 2001-2004 or any other period when bonkles was great is highly unlikely, and we'll likely get something more like the ending years of bonkles when the storyline was extra convoluted and Farshtey favoritism ran rampant. I don't know- the story serials were my least favorite part of bonkles.

However, I will admit this: I will gladly accept bonkles' return if these conditions are followed:

    1. The Toa Mata/Nuva return, and resemble the Toa Mata/Nuva
    2. The storyline gives us some look at the story through the Matoran's point of view and doesn't portray them as worthless objects the Toa need to defend (assuming New Bonkles has Toa and Matoran)
    3. The Piraka return, because from any perspective, ironic or otherwise, they were a lot better than that big gold thing from the serials

(addendum, actually, I'll just lock this entry because I don't feel like dealing with fallout. if a staff member informs me that for some reason this entry needs to be removed, I will gladly do so. otherwise, I'm sticking with my thoughts here)

For the record, this entry has nothing to do with some sort of petition to "save BIONICLE" or "boycott HERO Factory". If you don't like personal ramblings in blogs then go away.

Recently I've been wondering why I visit BZPower in the first place. I feel I have no business here, as I simply peep into ArtIII or ArtII, check the blogs, and then leave. Years ago I wouldn't have posted this entry, but things have come up that have really tested my loyalty here, and it looks like they're winning.

The point is, I'm very tempted to leave BZPower, but I just... can't. And frankly, I don't know what to do.

I'm so happy I could cry manly tears of joy!

Or at least change back to old Gerlicky.

    What you may have missed:
    1. The next TMU is called TMU: The Legendary Gerlicky. The series will use special "Toon" sprites that I have made myself. Currently, most of the characters from TMUTS and TMUCW as well as Takuma Nuva, Kahinuva, Blade, VakamaTK, and some characters from the latter two's comics. There is one character from a PGS's comics and literary work I would like to use. I will ask his creator later.
    2. I have a blog on BZP Comics Wiki: The Gurkiblog.
    3. I'm working on another comic series known as "SpoofQuest!" The series is not a direct TMU, but rather a spoof of epic comics that use two-shade Chimoru. Only a few TMU characters are in it, but in the first comic, VakamaTK makes a cameo appearance. The two-year Avohkii comic is still WIP, but it WILL have a Quest for the Meta Sword reference in it. You can read the comic here.

UPDATE: The wanted character in TMUtLG is Steak Boy from Who Ya Gonna Call? Toast Busters! and TNToran Revolution, and he's officially confirmed.

In addition, I plan on finishing TMUCW before TMUtLG begins. However, I may plan on skipping a few chapters.

And lastly, there are a few other things planned, including Intruder: The TMU Movie and TMUTS2. Details are still sketchy.

The new bonkles sets didn't come out before Christmas where I live, which was kind of a shame. Did pretty well otherwise, though. Got a good amount of stuff, but I'll just list the stuff people are more likely to care about:

    -Umbra
    -both the Toa Hagah
-Flain, Vulk, and Zaptor, completing my Mixels collection for now
-two Star Wars sets I wanted just for the astromech minifigs
-an unopened mask pack containing a blue Akaku and lime green Rau (neither of which I had before today)
-two bonkles pens: the Tahu one and a limited edition one I had never heard of, which is pretty neat
    -this thing
