I have the hiccups.
In other news, I completed the first draft of a short story today. (No, not the one mentioned earlier.) I'll probably have at least two more drafts before I post it, but yeah. Expect it before New Year's.

First of all, Nuju Metru is friggin' awesome.
Second, I'm getting Mata Nui for Christmas. I would have gotten Ackar, but MN has yellow parts, something that I don't have much of. I might even be able to use him for a self-MoC.
Third, I never really realized how fun it is writing fiction. I think my work-in-progress SS will turn out good. I'll just say this: it's about the Tuyetverse.
So, anyway, I need some name ideas, just to get me thinking. What do you think are good names for a Matoran, a Toa of Air and a Toa of Stone?

Yes, I've been getting into the habit.
I know the effects are pretty much the same as the ones on the Krika banner... But eh, whatever. I think they look cool.
You can use these for free, by the way.

A little song to celebrate Christmas: Happy Christmas (War is Over) by John Lennon.
---
So this is Christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
Ans so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The world is so wrong
And so happy Christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let's stop all the fight
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
And so this is Christmas
And what have we done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
Ans so this is Christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear one
The old and the young
A very merry Christmas
And a happy New Year
Let's hope it's a good one
Without any fear
War is over over
If you want it
War is over
Now...

So, you've all heard about the new serial coming up, right?
No?
Well, here you go.
Cool, eh? Yeah, I can't wait for that. In this topic, I voted Lightning, Magnetism, The Green, and Psionics (FTW). But let's get to the point. I kinda had an idea, inspired by this, to write a short story about a Toa team of my creation. Maybe even a series, if it comes out good. So, watch'a think? Should I attempt such a feat?
Republished, 'cause I want responses.

I saw Sherlock Holmes today.
Epic.
I highly recommend it, despite what "critics" say. It is an awesome movie, and is true to the books. The actors are great, and maybe best of all, it set itself up for a sequel. And, for once, the directors did it really well. It is a Sherlock Holmes movie, no question about it. Conan Doyle probably would have written it the same as it was.
Go see it. Now.

A collection of some old, but great, text-only computer games. My favorites are Hamurabi and Super Star Trek.
Hamurabi is a crude simulation of an ancient city-state, Sumer. You allocate bushels of grain to plant and grow more, feed to your people, and buy more land. It's challenging, but can get addicting. An interseting story behind it is that the real name of the city's ruler is Hammurabi, but the second 'm' was dropped when the game was put into David Ahl's book of BASIC computer games, in order to limit the name to 8 characters. (BASIC is an old programming language.)
Super Star Trek is, like Hamurabi, famous, though not to the same extent. You take control of the USS Enterprise, traversing the galaxy on a mission to destroy the Klingon ships that menace the Federation. Every game has randomized locations of stars, starbases, and Klingons; number of stardates until the Federation is conquered, unless you defeat the Klingons; and number of Klingons. You can control the amount of energy available to shields and phasers in battle, as well as firing photon torpedoes that destroy Klingon ships in one hit, as long as your defined trajectory doesn't make it miss. Captain Kirk's crew even talks to you, responding to your orders. It's a really cool game, and you can be playing it for long stretches of time without even realizing it. Though I prefer this version, a more complicated version with Romulans, supernovae, and automatic trajectory calculation, among other features, can be found here.
The rest of the games are pretty great, too. Just because they don't have graphics, it doesn't mean they can't be good!

Yeah, I'm not surprised... We aren't doing fiction, mind you.
Just had my science and math midterms. That was the easy part. I'm dreading the Spanish one. Not that I'm bad at Spanish, but from what I hear, it's a scary test. Man.
In other news, I am now a co-host of the Bionicle Caption Contest, the largest game on BZP! Head over there, go for it! It's fun! So yeah, feel free to shower me and my ego with congratulations and worship. XD
By the way, if you're wondering why I'm posting at one in the morning, I've been grounded for he past week. Today was the day it ended, I was dying to use the comp... So I stayed up until the next day started. But now I need sleep. Badly.
In the morning, an hours-long computer binge!

New Things
By Momotaro,
Woohoo, 4th of July
So, my birthday is on the 12th, followed by Captain Picard's the next day. I really don't have any idea what I want though... :/ But, on the other hand, my cousins from Colorado are coming over and I'm celebrating both my and my aunt's birthdays, so that's a plus.
As for books, Pendragon is over, Harry Potter is over, Hitchhiker's Guide is over. I've got the second half of Sherlock Holmes to read, but after that my library's run dry. Any book recommendations?
Kk, geek stuff. Um. Haven't been doing much pixel art lately, but I've been working on my fic, playing SimCity, and doing other stuff, so it's all good. The major thing I've been doing is working on an XHTML template for a business me and my dad are starting, which kept me up late a few nights in a row (not a bad thing, I love that kind of stuff.) I'd just link to the site, but since that isn't allowed, I'll just give the template. How does it look?

I've decided to take requests for avvies and banners!
If you want one, you can do one of two things: if you want most of the creativity to be up to me, you can fill a short form. If you want more control, fill out the second, longer form.
First form:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «Avatar or Banner: Link to desired image:
Simplistic or effects:
If banner, 250x100 or 468x60:
Notes:
Simplistic would be just the image with a black border. Effects would include that with other special effects.
Second form:
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «Avatar or Banner: Link to desired image:
Desired effects:
If banner, 250x100 or 468x60:
Text (Optional):
Font:
Font color:
Text location:
Notes:
Remember, be specific about what you want, anything you don't tell me will be improvised!
You can see examples of my work in the 'free stuff' content block to the left.
Credit is not necessary, but it is appreciated.
NOTE: Anything you request will be free for use by anybody else.
Thanks!
