  1. IC: Rorohiko - NERD CREW Reunited

He looked a little disappointed, but nodded. "If you want. I hopefully have enough to work on for a while, at least."

IC: Matilda - Flying Over Tesara

As she peered over the side of her vehicle, looking for lights on in any buildings that looked even remotely like they might sell paint thinner, she saw an odd ship. Tesara was no stranger to odd visitors, but this drew her eye with its decoration. The style of decorations looked... familiar. Her heart leapt into her throat.

She sped up to gesture for Garuda to land, before landing herself. Her blood hammered through her body, unbelieving, almost refusing to believe, but... those looked like the sort of decorations Bara Magnan Sand Tribe members used.

Be rational, she thought to herself. Maybe someone found an abandoned vehicle and learned, or there's someone who appreciates the aesthetic or something... but maybe...

OOC: I was very mistaken about the state of the ship stuck in crystal; I've learned that the ship is stuck like a nail in a wall of crystal. I was thinking of something completely different for my last post.

    IC: Armani - Crystal Wall

"VERY WELL, PILOT! STAY PUT, I WILL FREE YOU."

She returned to her ship and grabbed her rope, fastening it to her vehicle. She then scaled the crystal wall with ease, the other end of the rope coiled over her shoulder as she climbed towards the wedged vehicle. She tied the rope to a sturdy part of the frame, and then patted the ship in a reassuring manner before climbing back down. She climbed aboard her vessel, and used the tremendous strength of THESE Guns to slowly and carefully pull the ship free from the wall.

  2. IC: Matilda - Tesara

She followed Garuda up towards Tesara. It was busier than usual for this time of night, oddly enough. She wondered if something happened.

IC: Rorohiko - NERD CREW Reunited

"Hey," he greeted them tiredly. "Good to see you guys again. I, uh, half expected you not to come back."

  3. IC: Armani - Monster Corpse

The creature all but exploded from the other pilot's impressive ram. Relief flooded her being; she could see no one fleeing the immediate area, it must have been evacuated in time. The threat was gone, and her city was safe. For now.

She looked to the wall, to the buildings crushed. Their first priority would have to be the wall's repair, but she was sure it would be simple enough to have someone putting together some kind of temporary home situation for the displaced citizens in the meantime. Homes could be rebuilt. Other things did not heal so easily.

That creature was not like the others she and her fellow guards had faced. She could not shake the feeling that this was a warning, the first dark cloud of an almighty storm. Something was happening out there. They would have to do something about that, too.

Then, she saw the pilot hadn't withdrawn from their ram. The corpse being in the state it was, it seemed unlikely to get up again, but she didn't want to take chances in parking her ship further away. So, she landed beside the pilot's self-made crater, on a crystal shard that was large and flat enough for the task.

"ARE YOU ALL RIGHT, PILOT?" she called down. "DO YOU REQUIRE ASSISTANCE IN REMOVING YOURSELF FROM THE CADAVER?"

    IC: Rorohiko - Stall

    "Roooooorooooooooooo! Over heeeeeeeeere!"

Rorohiko looked up from the metal box he was inspecting, vaguely wondering who Roro was. He continued his assessment for a bit longer before realising that the voice calling out was that of one of the guards.

He bought the box and looked around. He wasn't about to brace the mass of people again, so he figured that staying put was probably the better option this time.

    IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

"It means," Matilda grumbled from the pilot's seat, "Someone in Tesara has some fingers they desperately need broken, so they can't write mean things on people's property anymore."

  4. IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

"Yeah, that." She tried to sound nonchalant, instead sounding gruff. "Some jerk got paint on my ship. It's dried on, and I need something to get it off."

She turned and farewelled the wild Zesk in their tongue. The basket she had brought was currently being worn by one of the Zesk as a hat. It was very clear she would not be getting it back, so she didn't try to reclaim it.

  5. Yeah, I get you. Unfortunately the GMs are all in some form of schooling, from university on down, so we're all kept very busy. In addition, Nato (who was the one who planned out and has been running the current mission) is also GMing his own game on top of this one. And, unlike HF RPG, his other game (Skyrise) has only one GM- himself. We're currently trying to sort it out so he doesn't have to be the primary source for all of this mission's posts, because obviously between real life and his whole other game, it takes up way too much time. This is tricky to do, because he's the one who made the mission and thus he has the best idea of what's going to happen next, what stuff the players are going to have to face, etc.

  6. IC: Kororia - Fate Escaped But For How Long

"A day? So you're new too?" She grinned. "Did your parents send you late, too? Mine took ages to decide whether to send me or not. I dunno why."

  7. IC: Rorohiko - In A Sea Of People

Rorohiko somehow ended up at a stall, and grasped onto it like it was the railing of a buoy. He half-pulled himself towards the stall, out of the bustle, and figured he might as well poke around there for a while. He gave an awkward wave to the stall owner and started sifting through some old boxes.

    IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

"Sure," she said, though obviously not believing it. Not that she was any better. She stifled a yawn of her own and followed Garuda back to the ships, hefting herself onto her vehicle. "Oh, yeah. Can you think of anywhere that stocks paint stripper this time of night?"

    IC: Armani - Beast Defeated

The creature fell, not dead but certainly not going to cause trouble either. It seemed another pilot was going for the killing blow, and interfering would likely cause more harm than good, the way they were doing it. Instead, she got into an ideal position for cover fire, should it be necessary.

  8. Well, I wouldn't say dead just yet. I know Nato, the guy running the current mission, has been super busy recently with his other RPG that he's running along, and a lot of us are just waiting on posts.

But, don't fret! We'll see about having it back up and running soon! And a big thank you to everyone for your continued patience. Seriously, feels like I'm ending every other post here with that. It's been a bit hectic for a lot of the GMs. And obviously that's frustrating and annoying, to wait weeks between posts and feel like nothing's going anywhere. But, I think I speak for the other GMs here when I say we're not giving up just yet!

  9. IC: Rorohiko - In A Sea Of People

Rorohiko did not hear Fifteen whispering his name, because in his quest to find his guards/new friends, he had been bumped and jolted quite off course.

    IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

She glanced down. "All right, but take it slowly if you're tired. Don't want you nodding off mid-flight."

  10. IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

"I know so." She glanced up, towards Tesara. "If you want, you can talk with your friends some more. I'll wait by my ship for you."

    IC: Armani - Rhotuka Party

Armani had to roll and swerve out of the line of fire. This brought her on a wide arc around, getting herself back in position to fire on the creature.

IC: Rorohiko - Drowning In A Sea Of People

Rorohiko, with his body full of fragile and precious modifications, could not simply shove through the crowd as Karanta did. He also hadn't seen which direction she went in. He tried his best to keep a straight course, looking out for his friends.

  11. IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

She nodded sombrely. "It is a magnificently terrible burden to bear. I only have my tail out if I really, really need it. Or if I need to give it a good stretch. It gets really uncomfortable sometimes."

Absent-mindedly, she scratched her neck just above her bandanna. She'd gone for a nice green one today, with little thornax fruits on it. She said, "Your tail is perfectly fine the way it is, in any case. It suits you."

  12. IC: Rorohiko - Ditched By NERD CREW

"Huh?" He turned around to see Karanta was gone. He blinked. Well, so much for having guards. He felt fairly exposed without anyone who could prevent him being picked up and carried off. Not knowing what else to do, he struggled through the crowds, looking for his guards and hoping no one would try and kidnap him.

    IC: Armani - Fallen Spidemonster

When the creature fell, she set upon it again, swooping to fire on its head.

IC: Matilda - Handing Out Life Truths

She winced a little. She didn't want to have this discussion with the little Zesk, but not answering would only pique her curiosity more.

"They do, Garuda, it's just..." She looked down, into wide, innocent eyes. The words she was planning to say changed immediately. "... Jealousy. It's okay for you, you're small and nice and your tail is acceptably impressive. But mine... it's too big. Too strong. It upsets people, makes them very jealous. I hide it for the good of Tesara, possibly even the good of the whole planet."

  13. IC: Armani - Dodging Leg Part II

She was on the move as she shot, but the leg still scraped her ship and threw it off balance. She righted it with practiced ease, but it still took precious seconds to do so. She circled the creature's head so she wouldn't be a stationary target.

    IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

She glanced at Garuda briefly. "I like my tail too. It's just... adult stuff. You don't have to worry about it."

She lowered her hand to pat Garuda's head with a half-smile.

  14. IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

"That's right. So, I'd know best about making a tail big and strong, right?"

There went the last of the sandwiches. Matilda handed over the basket to a Zesk who wasn't content to take her word for it. She continued, "You're still young, Garuda. You have plenty of time to grow and be strong."

  15. IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

"Absolutely," she said without a second's pause. "But if you keep eating your vegetables and all that stuff that isn't junk food, maybe one day you, too, will have a tail as mighty as mine."

    IC: Armani - Dodging Leg

She pulled up and to the side, narrowly avoiding the limb. Or the bodies, depending on how one thought of it. She fired at the side of its head this time in a wide sweep.

  16. IC: Rorohiko - We Lost The One Responsible Member Of NERD CREW

"Huh?" He looked around, too. "Oh, yeah. Maybe she's checking out the other stalls."

IC: Matilda - Messing With Children

She looked over at Garuda, putting her all into fixing her expression into a neutral poker face. "Well, they buried scorpion tails in the ground, of course. If you do that the right way, you get a scorpion tail tree. Then, you have to water it a lot and all this other plant stuff, and then the tree sprouts the tails like fruit. If you look after the tree well enough, the tails can be huge."

IC: Armani - Alliance of Giant Women

She brought her ship high and circled around to face the creature's front once more, peppering the thing's head with shots to draw attention away from the other pilot.

  17. IC: Rorohiko - Um

The Rock Agori shot Karanta an annoyed look as he quickly put away Rorohiko's widgets. The Onu-Matoran gave her a confused one as he struggled to stuff the box into a bag for ease of carrying. "Uh, that's fine, seriously. I already paid. I don't mind paying the actual price for things."

    IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

Her sandwich-handling was interrupted by a tail in her face. She batted it away. "Is that so? Did he tell you where they got the tails from?"

She stifled a yawn. Sleep never was good when it was spent tossing about in a nightmare. She'd shake it off.

IC: Armani - You Ever Seen Star Wars

There wasn't much time left. It wasn't stopping, it wouldn't be deterred by their conventional weaponry. She was going to dive at it when a glint caught her eye. A steel cable, on the back of the other vehicle that was aiding her. A long one, from the glimpse she got, with a very sharp harpoon. She had an idea.

She brought her ship as close to the other vehicle as she could, honked her horn, and then tried to get her point across. She jabbed a finger at the harpoon, and then at the legs of the beast, and twirled her finger around a few times. This was a quick movement, since it was never a good idea to look away from where one was flying, but she made it as obvious as possible.

OOC: Not sure if the vehicles have horns, to be clear. If they end up not having horns or horn equivalents, I'm pretty sure just someone flying up to you is attention-catching enough.

  18. IC: Kororia - Will I Ever Run Out Of Ways To Drag People Into Interactions

Her concern was almost immediately overtaken with wonder as she gasped and (loud enough for the newcomer to hear) said, "That's a really big hammer!!!"

  19. IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

"Have you, now?" she asked the other Zesk- presumably Zeke- as she handed them a sandwich. Knowing how grabby wild Zesk could get when hungry, she made sure to be quick about handing over whatever she brought down for them. She turned back to Garuda. "Great Beings, eh? What about them?"

IC: Rorohiko - Studying Possible Toaster Knife

He reached out and carefully lifted the blade. He scrutinised the knife, carefully listened to the sound made when he tapped the handle and blade, studied the singed edges. Seemingly satisfied, he smiled and nodded to Karanta before getting the attention of the stall owner, a ragged-looking Rock Agori.

"Hey, I wanted to get this, and uh..." he blinked sleepily, glancing around, and then pointed to a small, cheap storage box filled to the brim with wires and other such things. "The box of doodads, please."

The Rock Agori looked at him expectantly. Rorohiko took the hint and checked the price tags- well, not so much tags as numbers scribbled on the items in question- and handed over the appropriate amount of widgets. This, apparently, was not the right hint.

“You’re… not going to haggle?” the Rock Agori asked. “You do know how this works, right?”

“Eh,” Rorohiko shrugged, pulling the box towards himself. He handed the knife to Karanta. “All yours.”

OOC: Armani post coming in a bit

  20. IC: Matilda - Garuda's Corner

Sure enough, there she was, talking with a bunch of other Zesk. Matilda touched down as quietly as she could, lest she startle the Zesk on her descent. She barked a word of greeting in the language of the Bara Magna sand tribe, and climbed off her vehicle. With the basket in hand, she approached Garuda first.

"Thought I might find you down here," she said, holding a sandwich out to the girl. She snapped at a Zesk who started rushing for her basket that they would get some in a moment.
