  1. No one else is massively disappointed by this? Toa aren't even really Toa, Matoran aren't even Matoran, masks are not the same as kanohi... All we have is: A few bionicle character namesthe same "elemental island with elemental factions" concept lego has loved for a long time (see slizers, roboriders, drome, etc - heck) which is not unique at all,the general concepts of "masks of power"the constraction style of building that has been around for two generations before bioniclethe bionicle name/logohonestly, its just a marketing ploy to get parents to remember that their older kids loved "those bionicles robot legos" and get them to buy them for their younger kids. there's almost nothing in common. I was so excited for bionicle's return. this is a bad joke.
  2. i'll be honest, i didn't quite know what i was doing this entire time but now i feel as if i've made some tragic error.
  3. No arguments there!now someone start making some porcelain!
  4. well, i would've changed my vote but apparently i don't check in here often enough >_<
  5. Can't argue with that logic. I vote 2 as well. (Also, I must avenge my friend negative. > )
  6. in the same vein of Strackkorotus's question(s), what ARE the numbers everyone has? not asking for specifics, but perhaps a range? 1-20? 100-500? because i got my number and it doesn't seem to jive with what the examples says.(i don't play mafia games much =P)
  7. well said zippy.and as for my theory, well, if you didn't know they had hair/were mammals, they certainly SEEM reptilian, don't they? espically the skrall/bone huntersand while we know they reproduce biologically, it was never (AFAIK) stated that they DON'T lay eggs... and i've always loved the concept of a baby skrall hatching. certainly makes more sense with how their scocuety works too, doesn't it?
  8. I sincerely doubt that even the GBs would make the Vorox look like bugs. Remember how Click was treated in TLR? I think it is more likely that the helmet makers were making fun of them. i swear i remember reading that the pinchers/mandibles on sand tribers was part of their helmets, but all those parts could actually move, and were somehting they DID use. also, i've always been under the impression that the sand-tribal helmets predated the tails...
  9. well, most of my contributions have already been stated, but here are some more:-The Kanohi Tryna. everything about it.-how carapar died-anonna talking about souls-and more than anything, this quote: course, i'm the type of guy who finds every "disturbing" thing here just makes the story more awesome, so... =P
  10. oooh, never thought about the middle thumbs that way. and looking at their boots, that would also make a great deal of sense.also, (anyone religious ignore this) look at early mammals on earth, as they evolved from reptiles. they really were in an "in between" state between mammals and reptiles, and this is where i place the agori/glatorian/skrall/bone hunters. Also, thinking about it, i'm liking the idea of them having a very fine fur coat over scaly skin, like the early mammals of earth. According to BS01 there's no past tense about it, they're just mentally savage and animalistic. I can see them being cunning little vicious things who can think enough for "this is scary, let's all wear this". Those stinger tails are apparently the fault of the Great Beings, though... interesting. (I'm thinking they're monkeyesque tails with a sharp, bony protrusion on the end.) They do appear to be bipedal, though. Zesk, now... Zesk are quadrupedal in addition to having tails. This is also the fault of the GBs and probably happened at about the same time as the tails, so even the ones on Bota Magna are still on all fours.the stingers are from the GBs, yes, but i was always under the impression that they were mechanical, die to the fact that it sparked when damaged in TLR. i really like your explanation though, it makes a lot of sense. Also, to point out something, i was one of the people who canonized the metallic bones thing, to help explain how the characters had organic weapons that were so ornate and durable. Pretty much, all SM life WITH bones has metallic bones.By extension, i would take that to mean that any SM life without bones, but with an exoskeleton, would have a metallic exoskeleton.
  11. *sigh*well honestly there's not much allure for the server anymore. all my stuff's gone, i disapprove of the multiverse concept, and none of my minecraft friends get on anymore.what a fail.
  12. Would that even be possible? It doesn't sound like something that could be done without a TON of recoding. No recoding involved at all. Just use the original server setup and use MCedit to export stuff from one map and import it into the other.Tbh, though, that would be extremely impractical. It'd be far easier to just take the continent from the new map and dump it in the old one. Moving all the creations over from the old map on a case by case basis would take forever, and you'd have to sort all the terrain mismatches.i'll do it myself, if nav lets me..... and as far as terrains go, i'm pretty good with those.
  13. (i'm mtmerrick btw)i vote we MERGE the two maps. this means world editing the old locations to the new map. some things, like the hub, can be single building moved over, other warps can be wholesale dumped over.this will give us a lot cleaner map, a fresh start on mining, and have us all set for wold exploration once 1.3 comes out, with the added benefit of having all our creations in the same world.---------------also got a great pic of Carthagehttp://www.majhost.com/gallery/mtmerrick/minecraft/2012-06-21_03.02.23.png
  14. O__Oi'll cry if i loose my castle. seriously.
  15. for the record, that was me, and i also brought flipz to the server. hes not a bzer AFAIK but hes as bog of a lego/bionicle fan as they come. Also, lost mesa is a serious WiP, there'll be a full unveiling when its finished enough for people to live there.
  16. has the server been updated to the latest minecraft update yet?*posted from my phone so i'm not able to check*
  17. New avatar. If you're an android hater, well, just don't tell me, ok?

  18. i'm trying to log on and it says connection refused?
  19. this actually made me really sad. i loved bionicle as a story much more than i enjoyed the sets, and was a diehard fan long after the sets stopped.TLG's banning of greg from bzp and his having to give up bioniclestory.com due to personal reasons meant that the story was never able to be finished. facing the facts, this means that we will never know who the hidden great being was, what marendar actually IS, and many more unanswered questions that were lined up to be major plot points that we will never know. I firmly believe Bionicle is one of the best stories ever written, and i do hope one day, at the very least greg will be able to wrap it up. it deserves that much. and while i've written off bionicle's return as a pipe dream, and i've most.y moved on, i still keep my 4 most precious bionicle MOCs on a shelf in my room. every time i look at them, my vorox chief, my toa of lightining, my tesera glatorian, and my OoMN soldier, a weak hope goes through my mind that best story ive ever read can someday resume. bionicle was one of the biggest parts of my life since the day i got my first set, sidorak. it will always be a part of me, and i simply wish TLG would give it the respect it deserves, instead of writing it off as a improfitable buisness venture.
  20. sounds like great ideas is there gonna be any way to enable pvp? perhaps only in the arena chunk? and when can we log on and start work?
