  1. I'll be joining. I really need to start writing... well, something, and it's been a month or so since I've last done anything serious. So count me in; I can't let my last free summer be without writing.

  2. Army-building with Vehicons? Bad idea...not worth all the cash. Lol.
Yep. Absolutely worth it. I'm at least getting three regular and two jet, provided the latter gets a stateside release. And, y'know, I can find them.
Oh well, I wouldn't know. I'm busy trying so hard to get a single DOTM toy. My dad actually owes me enough cash to buy Optimus and Megatron, but he needs it on-hand to do so. (KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARZ!)
What figures are you looking for? I've got my DOTM figures that I'm looking to sell.On the discussion of Vehicons, I do love the irony in the army-builder being shortpacked. One per case in Wave 3, one in Wave 4, and two in the Wave 4 revision. I may have to buy the Wave 4 revision just to get two Vehicons out of five. ... And I suppose getting my namesake, Dead End, and Airachnid may also be worth it.
  3. So I bought RID Voyager Megatron and FE Bumblebee and Arcee, i'm quite happy with them, though Bumblebee's legs are really squat and Arcee's chest isn't secured so it flops around. And Megs's transformation is kinda confusing.~ELM~
I keep Megs in robot mode. I unscrewed a couple parts, and he looks solid all-around.Well, I caved and got RID Optimus, who really turned out to be surprisingly good, overall. The sword's neat, and both modes look fine. The blue's a bit light compared to his show counterpart, but oh well. Still hoping to find Arcee since she's not in the Wave 4 revision. Also, it seems the Asia-exclusive Generations redecos are out online. The Deluxe case has two Springers, two Swerves, three Cliffjumpers, and one Wheelie, while the Voyager case has one of each (Powerdive, Hot Spot, Brawn, and Tank Megatron). Hoping to pick up one case of each, though I don't care for Cliffjumper or Brawn. The FE molds are cool, but for their intended figures, I think.Anyway, as a general question, has anyone here had any luck finding at least one Vehicon, let alone enough to start army-building?
  4. I have to agree with Lockon on Hot Shot. Considering I grew up with Armada, he was a really nice find. Ratchet's also a really good mold, but gah, that scale. It just doesn't work for me. In other news:Voyager DreadwingVoyager Ultra MagnusVoyager ThundertronVoyager SkyquakeAwesome. Really happy that Skyquake is in fact getting a toy. Magnus and Thundertron (dat peg leg) both look really good, and hopefully they'll make it into the show. Heck, I kinda want all the Star Seekers to at least get toys. It's neat to see a third Cybertronian faction. Now confirmation for Hasbro's Breakdown, please.

  5. I'm trying to get the whole Classics/Universe/Generations collection started, and I'm pretty much trying to get the majority of the Prime line. At least, I want the show cast, though a few of the non-show characters look really nice (Hot Shot and Dead End come to mind).

  6. I'm sorry to say that I can't really go lower than $35 for the sets I offered. I just think it's too low of a price for me to go back and lower it again. If you'd like, I could cover the shipping, but that's probably the best I can do for you.

  7. I'm making MP-13 mine, one way or the other. Even if I don't get MP-10, -11, and -12, I have to get Soundwave and his minions (since a Buzzsaw repaint is imminent and Ravage and Frenzy/Rumble have already been shown off). I really, really hope that Ratbat gets a new mold, maybe with the eventual Soundblaster repaint that's bound to come out of MP-13.

  8. If anything, it's a coincidence, but I thought since MP-10 seemed to be a "reboot" of sorts for the line, maybe they'd be up for something like that. As for Shockwave, as much as I like the Generations model, it looks so tiny compared to his WfC counterparts. I'm not sure if they're scaling down the new Generations guys a bit, but I certainly hope not. :-/

  9. It's kind of hard to split a gun handle in half and still have normal legs though, to be fair.
Hegemon defies this. :-PI also hope that Megs gets a well-deserved update for the Masterpiece line, though. The old one looks really meh, and I've heard a lot of complaints about it from people that own it. I guess he'd work for MP-15, as they seem to be doing Autobots for the even numbers (Prime, Sideswipe, Red Alert being MP-10, -12, and -14), and Decepticons for the odds (Screamer and Soundwave being MP-11 and -13). I'd really like to see Shockwave get the MP upgrade sometime soon, though. He's not gotten a pure G1 update in a looong while, I don't think.
  10. I do agree that it should definitely not be overdone, and how to put certain chunks of storyline into a concise "episode" would be difficult. And I think while other fan projects have proven....er....not very professional, the people who would create it would have to be mature enough to handle it properly. Besides, I don't think there are very many other sources to be used to create new Bionicle material.
The way I see it, the events of the story could be spread out between episodes without too much trouble, and some of the time could be used to flesh out more of the characters. With a plethora of characters in the BIONICLE franchise, I'm sure that time spent on development and characterization, making everyone just a bit more memorable wouldn't be time wasted. As for who'd be working on it, I've always assumed that if there remains a lingering interest in BIONICLE, in due time, it'll receive its reboot or continuation or whatever (in my humble opinion, the former is most preferable). Now, I'm not sure if that'll mean that Lego will be interested in restarting it, or if some third party would like to take a shot at a new interpretation of the mythos (and in this case, I'd really like to see the latter happen, according to the central theme of my previous posts, haha), but either way, I am sure that it's not going to be the same exact story marketed to a future audience, which gives whoever would take a shot at a BIONICLE series room to maneuver and adapt the basic plot to 'X' amount of twenty-three minute episodes.
