  1. IC: Cantai"We managed to run into quite a bit of trouble", Cantai said. "None of that is relevant now, though; our current concern is our damaged friend here.We have to get him to the Koro as fast as possible." He tilted his head towards Sumiki.

  2. For the record Samus, aka the protagonist of the Metroid series, is female. The only similarity I see between her and Evo is the arm cannon, which isn't even remotely similar. And his accent sounds rather american to me. I'm not even sure what you're trying to say with those supposedconnections to stereotyped Asian characteristics. I guess that's what is making me a bit frustrated here; referringto stereotypes like they'd be relevant at all.I really can't see anything 'strange' about Evo as a set, and I'm still a bit dumbfounded as to what the point here is.

  3. IC: CantaiCantai saw the Toa walk away into the snowy mass."Definitely", he said to Sumiki as the Toa vanished. "I suggest that we take the original path. There's no point in taking reroutes. Now, to reach Ko-Koro we need to head... east." With that, the three Toa began crossing the snow-covered lands towards safety.

  4. IC: Cantai"Honestly, between you and me, I don't think his name is what we should be concerned about. That look he gave me when he approached us..."Cantai glared at the hunched gestalt. "... I don't know. I'm just very disconcerted by his presence." A sudden yell was heard from the front of the group. The cloaked being seemed upset, but he did no aggressive movements towards Carraig. And then Cantai realized another being, of his own element, was present. Icy spikes were building up around the small group. The dark being was now yelling something, Cantai could not hear whether it was complete gibberish or perhaps some foreign language. But he had the feeling that this attack had been brought upon them by their new companion. The cloaked one was of no priority to him. But he would be ready to counter any immediate offenses from this hidden attacker sent towards him and his fellow Toa.

  5. IC: Cantai"Ah yes, of course... I think it may take us a while to get there. But surely it should be a manageable distance, for you as well as for us."Cantai fell silent for a moment, while having a quick look at the Iron Toa's injury. "Hm. At this stage I can probably do nothing to make the stride towards Ko-Koro easier for you... This satchel here contains quite an array of medical supplies, but chances are that I would mistreat your wound. My knowledge of the matter is a bit limited, you see... Oh, however, you could use my staff as a provisional crutch of sorts. Here, take it."

  6. IC: CantaiThe second Toa was clearly a Toa of Stone. The Muaka had been knocked over by his elemental powers and wasdesperately flailing its claws around, trying to get a grip on the frozen ground.Cantai approached slowly and cautiously and as he did, he used his elemental power to collect crystals of icefrom the ground. And then, with a gesture, he sent them hailing at the enraged feline. This had no apparent physical effect but the Muaka reacted strongly and attempted to retreat, still lying on its side.Cantai sent another hail of ice at the Rahi. It was furiously scrambling, and suddenly it managed to get a grip on the ground. It got upright and snarled aggressively. But now it seemed to realize that it was facing three opponents. The gray Toa had retrieved a piece of peculiar weaponry and the Toa of Stone appeared ready to use hiselemental powers again. Cantai continued approaching the beast, knowing it was a risk-filled tactic, however it had a high intimidation factor. For a moment the Muaka lowered its head and appeared to calculate which one of them would be the easiest target. But then it started retreating again, while still keeping eye contact, and a final hail of ice made it turn around with a single growl anddisappear into the white, whirling blur.

  7. IC: CantaiCantai's brief rest was interrupted by a echoing cry of rage. He was sitting at the side of a large rock, and even thoughhe had been there for quite a short time, a tiny pile of snow had collected on his shoulders and head. As he rose up, the wind carriedit off him like a white cape before assimilating it into the snowy haze surrounding him.Slightly desorientated, he took a quick look around the immediate area. All he could see was icy structures, shaped by the relentless wind.No sign of whatever could have been the origin of the enraged roar.He decided not to move beyond his current spot. Not before using his Arthron. He started to focus on - very roughly - mapping out the terrain around him, but primarily on finding any moving entities nearby. After a moment of concentration he sensed something moving in his direction. An attacker? He grabbed the curved handle of his staff. The plains were dangerous, but he'd hoped to be left out of any possible mischief goingon out here, if only this one time. But it seemed like he was in for a fight. He picked up the staff with both hands and pointed the twin blades at the point of the entity moving towards him.But then he hesitated.Another gestalt was picked up by the Arthron's sonar power. This one was larger. And it was most certainly faster.Cantai heard the furious roar again. The moment after, he saw what appeared to be a Toa emerging from the whirling shroud, furiously limping. The Toa looked back, and there was a large monstrous shadow, plowing through the snow at great speed."You've gotten yourself in some trouble, mate", Cantai mumbled to himself. Then he rushed through the deep snow to aid his fellow Toa.

  8. Thanks a lot for the feedback, folks. :>

I'm totally going to print these out on glossy poster paper and hang them in my room. If that's okay with you.

I am totally cool with that - it makes me feel kind of honoured that someone would want these hanging in their room, lol.

Doesn't Chirox have orange eyes, though?

Oh yeah, I think they all do, lol. I guess I thought it would be a bit boring for all of them to haveorange eyes though, so I changed both Antroz' and Chirox' eye colour.

I really would suggest rendering these pieces out though, then they would turn from impressive to downright amazing.

I've taken both your and Sumiki's advice and started drawing the Mistika Makuta in a slightly higherquality than these are. I guarantee they'll get their own topic once they're all done.

why is antroz wearing a jacket? http://www.bzpower.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/tounge2.gif

They're all wearing jackets. I think you'll have to wait and see as to why they are, though.

Do you think you could do a few that are more than just busts? I'd be interested to see how that style looks on a full figure.

I could probably do that, although there's a chance that the style would be slightly altered.I work in different ways when I do different things, I guess. I'll definitely take that in consideration though. Thanks again, everyone.
  9. Name: CantaiSpecies: ToaElement: IceGender: MalePowers: Sonar(Arthron), standard Ice powers, twin-bladed staffAlignment: Lawful GoodAppearance: Concept sketchCantai wears white, smooth segmented armour. His kanohi is an Arthron.Personality: Cantai is generally polite, but although he doesn't always show it, he is also quite cynical.Weaknesses: Some amounts of skepticism can lead to Cantai making himself a hard person to cooperate with under certain circumstances. This mainly occurs when he is to be part of an action or a plan, but rarely when he provides supplies(See history section). He usually does not trust commanders and tends to do things his way, should he be able to - given that it doesn't create more risks. He can be easily defeated in close combat and relies on his asset of self-designed weaponry to keep foes on a distance.History: Cantai is an engineer and is usually occupied with building everything from construction machinery and tools toweaponry that channels and amplifies elemental powers. His inventions are mostly implemented by Toa factions, but he willoffer his services to anyone who has the money and what he considers a righteous cause.Cantai also has basic medical knowledge. He has a satchel with such supplies that he will bring whenever he's going somewhere.

  10. I don't think anyone would disagree with Toa Mata Nui being an excellent parts supply. There are plenty of reasons to dislike the set, though - for instance, his colour scheme consisted of seven colours, which definitely is a tad too many, and his design was an inconsistent build with plenty of gaps. And really, I don't know if there's anything that fits that description that I enjoy looking at.
