Spelunky! comes out for PC in a few days now. Very exciting.

Ironically, Mass Effect 3's multiplayer is my favorite part of the game. Bioware outdid themselves with the combat mechanics, the amount of content, and customization potential.

Mass Effect, before the third game, was strictly a singleplayer RPG game, and those singleplayer RPG elements were what I expected to enjoy most about the series when I purchased all three games a few months back. Coming to Mass Effect 3, I had expected to like those RPG elements the most about the game. The multiplayer aspect of the game would be tangential, or so I thought.

However, after playing the campaign of Mass Effect 3, I found that the singleplayer campaign, while good in its own respect, did not have the same "enjoyability" as the multiplayer Co-op. Considering my previous expectations (which are what I imagine were the expectations of most) and Bioware's niche in the RPG genre, the fact that I hold Mass Effect 3's multiplayer with higher respect than its singleplayer campaign is ironic.

Children have a longer attention span than a year.
However, I must note that Bionicle, within its first year, had Mata-Nui online game, a comic book series, and a couple dozen toy sets. It was also coming off a few more Technic lines of toys, just as Chima would be coming off of Ninjago, Hero Factory, and Exoforce. (Not that I'm super happy about LEGO pumping out more and more toy themes.)

Children most certainly have a longer attention span than a year. I know from being one.
It's true that BIONICLE had all that, but some people have a problem with Chima because it seems to have been designed expressly to push out Ninjago, which had all the same things (on- and offline games, TV series, lots of sets), and is and was quite popular. Compounding that is the fact that Ninjago was already set to have 2013 as an off year and return in 2014.
