  1. Well, it's been a long time, but I think I'm going to see if I can get a bit more mileage out of this thing, just for a bit. I'm going to go ahead and do a hard reset on my characters, now that I've become a better writer.Real Name: John D. SchmidtAlias: Zoo, sometimes referred to as 'the beast.'Appearance: Zoo is tall and leanly athletic, built almost like a predatory cat. He wears a dark green hoodie and black pleather duster, as well as black biker slacks and heavy boots. His face is concealed behind a lone-ranger style mask, and he usually augments the disguise with yellow or blue wolfish eyes.Power: Zoo is a shapeshifter, capable of taking the forms of several varieties of animal. He can also access many of their abilities without fully transforming.Allegiance: Solo Hero.Area: Typically America. Bio: John was originally a fairly boring person, much to the consternation of his brothers. Indeed, he was a bit of a cool guy, as the forum saying goes. One day, however, the universe decided to make fun of him, and had a certain mad scientist abduct him for illegal testing. The gene therapy process, intended to produce supersoldiers, involved a virus based on the target's DNA and that of various animal species, infused with Omega radiation. The scheme was thwarted, but not before the process had been administered. As time progressed, he began to behave uncharacteristically, making jokes and being nicer. His mannerisms became comparable to the family dog, or perhaps a dolphin. He also began exhibiting increased sensory and athletic capacity, until he finally culminated in a full transformation. Soon afterwards, he became a superhero, because that's really the only sensible route for a rich idiot with no day job.Remember, children, drugs are BAD for you.
  2. I really don't think it counts as a spoiler since it's so early on in the episode, and has nothing to do with the plot, so I'm just going to openly celebrate that DERPY IS BEST PONY!!!!
  3. When I first saw this, I was like ...0.o? As much as I am enjoying it, what the what am I watching?Coincidentally, my non-brony sister watched over my shoulder, and was also entertained.
  4. Okay, in the new episode of Psych, Shawn gave Gus the pseudonym 'Big Apple Macintosh.'Coincidence? AH DON'T THINK SO.
  5. I just read It Takes A Village. It's really well written, and I recommend it wholeheartedly.
  6. Yeah, there's gazillions of Doctor Who/MLP fics now, what with Doctor Whooves showing up in the background. What they really NEED to make as a crossover, though? Doctor McNinja.
  7. I got a Rainbow Dash recolor brushie... It seems my sister still can't accept the fact that ponies are awesome. I can't blame her, since she hasn't seen the show, and she's likely still incredulous that I like it. Anyway, it was a joke present, so I gave it to my cousin. If I had kept it, the only daylight it would ever see would be if I got the time and resources to turn it from 'Blossomworth' into Derpy.Indeed, I perfectly understand anypony's stance against shipping, as there's certainly boatloads of poorly done shipping. Indeed, the 'shipping' stories I actually like, I'm hesitant to call 'shipping' rather than just 'romance' because it has a level of quality, whether serious or (I think as all the MlP cases have been) cute, that the term 'shipping' just doesn't imply. Of course, cute style is what I like best for this fandom, since cuteness is one of the main attractions of the show in the first place. It's also why Fluttershy is best Pony.
  8. I just read Silent Ponyville... And I'm very impressed. It combined the basic concept of Silent Hill (though, I admit, I've never played those games), but turned it into something completely new. Even better, it has a happy ending, unlike pretty much any Grimdark ever.
  9. Surprisingly, I've found that, when done tastefully, I actually like a bit of shipping in stories. Again, when tastefully done.As for my favorite pairing, it would definitely be FlutterMac. :3
  10. Party Cannon is THE. BEST. POSSIBLE. THING! (What? I really mean it this time!)
  11. I'm now reading a Dresden Files crossover. Harry correctly describes Fluttershy as 'weapons-grade adorable.'
  12. Yeah, for all her flaws, nopony in their right minds could possibly deny that Rainbow Dash is Awestometastiriffic.
  13. Turns out the writer of Past Sins made a Portal/MlP crossover. I'm reading it right now. GLaDOS's reaction to ponies is amusing. Also, a massively multiplayer crossover that is going to be absolutely awesome. Doctor Whooves is helping Nyx out when she starts dreaming about the Slender Pony. Only three chapters are out so far, but it's already 20% cooler.
  14. Now, I've finished a Day for Spike and Twilight... All of my D'awws. Also, he gets over 9000 points for his portrayal of Derpy...and I just had the most epic idea for an MLP advertisement.Spike: Ponies. Look at your assistant. Now look at me. Now back to your assistant. Now back to me.Sadly, your assistant ISN'T me. BUT, he could smell like me, if he stopped using that filly scale polish and switched to Rarity's Insert Catchy Name Here.Look down. Look up. Where are you? You're in a barn, with the assistant your assistant could smell like. What's in your hoof? I have it. They're tickets to the Galloping Gala.Look again. The tickets have turned into DIAMONDS. Anything's possible when your assistant smells like Rarity's Insert Catchy Name Here, and not a Filly. I'm on a horse.(Zoom out to show he's riding Applejack)Applejack: You done?
  15. Reading Dangerous Business right now...The worldbuilding... D8Yeah, this is pretty epic.EDIT: And now finished... Chapter 18... SO MUCH YES.He'd better make a sequel. He must. He must! HE MUST!Thanks for recommending it, calamity.
  16. "SO. Yous thinks we're GOILY, eh?" [/foster's]In all seriousness, yes. It technically is slightly girly. However, that is in no conceivable fashion a bad thing. Indeed, many of us guys would do well to inject a little more girly-ness into their daily routine.
  17. So, I'm thinking of reading Fallout: Equestria, but I'm not sure if I'll get the full impact, having no knowledge whatsoever with the fallout games.
  18. I've never ridden a pony... It probably wouldn't be able to hold me up. I like riding horses, though, and I always end up with the biggest one.
  19. Trust me, Past Sins is clean. I'm highly intolerant of dirty stuff. Indeed, the story has great morals, dealing with both forgiveness and the importance of family.
  20. You can change partners. At almost any time. In addition, they actually DO something. It's going to be AWESOME.
  21. Forget almost, I was right about crying later. In fact, I realized the brilliance yesterday: After reading the story, which, though heartwarming, is somewhat emotionally draining, you need a pick me up... like... 0.o MOAR PONEES!Also, there's a fan-made game in development called My Little Investigators... It's basically Pheonix Wright Twilight Sparkle: Ace Attorney, only 20% cooler in every way. As in, beside the fact that it's MLP.
