  1. IC: The spear snapped in half as it hit the shield. Tarotrix winced. Where the karz are the sane Toa? Aren't there any around here? Jumping back again to avoid the slowly advancing flame, he thought of something immensely stupid. Something so stupid that it might just work. He just hoped his innate Ta-Matoran heat resistance would help him. "Hey Toa, look behind you!" he cried. Unsheathing his gladius, he charged into the fire, flailing his blade. He hoped that it would distract Twiak for just a little while...
  2. IC: Tarotrix cursed, quite vocally as his feet got burnt. Jumping back, he lifted the spear over his head, and threw it a Twiak. He watched as the spear flew at mad Toa, hoping that it would hit something vital. All the while, he tried to ignore the the pain...
  3. IC: No good Toa. Don't they know the more the merrier? Az wasn't going to be dismissed that easily. The Toa may have their tricks, but he had some useful ones. Going into the shade, he silently used his infiltration skills to stalk the pair. When they reached a hut, he sat by a tree and watched them. Perhaps it could get interesting...
  4. OOC: I'm curious as to why Jaller of all people is talking while a freakin' battle is going on right outside of his office. IC: A Toa and a cannibal. Great, just great. Tarotrix wasn't going to be eaten that easily. Taking his large, metal shield, and lunged toward Twiak's face. The shield would hopefully stun his enemy long enough for help to arrive.
  5. IC: Az loved chaos. And although the zombified/undead beings made him uneasy, he enjoyed watching them attacking Death. It helped to lighten up his mood. All the while, he wondered what the karz the Makuta had told them.
  6. I find it rather funny that every other person has some kind of insane Toa/Matoran.
  7. IC: "I have contacted Makuta before, and assure you, I am completely loyal," Az replied. "And besides, I have both poisons and explosives. A lot of explosives."
  8. IC: Tarotrix was beginning to wonder how many psycho Toa passed through Ta-Koro. Three karzahni-forsaken Toa were attacked the guards, who dropping like Hoto bugs. Hoto bugs. But Tarotrix wasn't one to sit back and watch. He was a warrior. Grasping his greek-style shield in one hand, spear in the other, he charged at Twiak. With all the force he could muster, he thrusted his spear towards the mad Toa's chest.
  9. IC: Az had met a lot of strange people on his travels. Everyone from mad, wacko psychopaths, like himself, to goody-goody missionaries to a group of lost Ko-Koro guardsmen (Whom he'd prompty massacred). But nothing came to the oddity this group presented. He smirked. I think the second path was the right choice Walking up to them, he instantly knew that they were followers of Makuta. They just screamed malevolent bringers of evil! "Well well well, what a spectacular rainbow of villany we have here. Zombies, dark Toa, and even a werewolf! Please, don't be alarmed! I'm one of you." Az was beginning to wonder what the karz they all were together for. He had an idea it wasn't the Mata Nui Madmen Convention. "Now, I'm behind on the news, so please, tell me what our benefactor has told you."
  10. OOC: Az from the Kumu Isles. IC: The boat anchored off the shores of Le-wahi, and the rowboat drove towards the shore. The kindly fellows at Aidax's Le-Koro Express landed on the beach, and the passengers left the rowboat. Az, with a newly-bought spade in hand, left, hauling the heavy crates tediously in hand. After the rest of the passengers were far along the trail, Az began to dig into the sandy soil just beyond the beach. After an hour had past, the crates were buried, and the spade marked the spot. The explosives/poisons were safely stored for later. Smiling, and with a backpack of explosives, he headed out towards Le-Koro.
  11. IC: Az decided that the best place to cause mayhem was Le-Koro. The thought it would be far more fun to massacre Le-Matoran then Ko-Matoran. Watching the chaos would be so much fun! Dozens of them yelling in that funny jargon, it would crack him up. But to do that, he needed plenty of explosives. So taking two large crates, he packed them full of jars of Madu powder, various fuzes, and several vials of poison. After renting an ussal cart, he drove it to the docks. After having the grumpy-looking matoran load his boxes onto the boat, he leaped onto the boat as it sailed to Le-Koro. OOC: Az to Le-Wahi.
  12. Thanks. Hopefully we can get the party started soon.
  13. IC: Within fifteen minutes,Tarotrix had found five guards to join in their search. Two were older, more experienced fighters, while the others were newer, greener recruits looking for action. Tarotrix knew he had a good team. Together, they and Mevi walked towards the gate. "Okay, I'm thinking we should search the mountains first," he searched his mind for the scout's name for a couple seconds. "What do you think, Mevi?"
  14. I have an evil bomber/poisoner/terrorist already made. Where is the evil group at?
  15. IC: Tarotrix felt relieved that the Toa had a chance, at least. But by now he was thinking along the same lines as Mevi, albeit more aggressively."We must organize a search party to find out who, or what hurt her. We have to find it and destroy it. If we don't who knows what'll happen, perhaps It'll come to finish the poor Toa off, or maybe it, and the Toa, are part of a larger plot. We won't know for certain unless we search the area."
  16. IC: Little did the neighbors know that Az, terrorist supreme, lurked just next door. Virtually everyone regarded him as Gorion, a strange alchemist who'd gotten disfigured in some distant war, but that was hardly the case. He was actually a mad, wandering minion of Makuta. But having such a alias proved handy, as it explained the booms and and smoke that sometimes appeared. Tonight, Az was feeling paticularly explosive. It was time to go out and have some fun.
  17. IC: Karz "Get her up! GET HER UP!" Tarotrix ordered in a frantic voice. In unison, the guards lifted Kriigata, then in a fit of coughing, back onto the cot. He then watched in a mix of shock and curiosity as the medic began emergency aid. He felt utterly helpless for a moment, but quickly slapped out of it. Rushing out into the doorway, he yelled, and three more medics rushed in.
  18. IC: "We wait," Tarotrix said in an ominous voice.
  19. The staff factions will be far more larger, far more well armed, and far more aggressive then the player's factions for a while, more then enough to hunt down and destroy rule breakers. Besides, RPGs need a little bit of chaos to be fun.
  20. IC: "I'm afraid that I only just heard of it," Tarotrix replied. "I was stationed by the Onu-Koro Gate, so I was far away from the incident." He turned his head towards Vestrix, and told him to find a medic. The rookie rushed out of the doorway. "Why don't we all move her to someplace away from the door, to a bed, perhaps?"
  21. Where's the fun with letting the staff control all of the extradimensonal clones? There will be rules, mind you, and several closed staff factions to keep a bit of order. So why the heck can't it work?
  22. But imagine the possibilities. Perhaps you can have three versions of the same character, from three different RPGs, aligned with three different, warring factions. Or imagine a world with Undercity Matoran from Abyss, Vampires from City of Fear, Glatorian and Agori, all in one chaotic battlefield. And you don't have to be just a clone. As for the natives, the EP has done a lot. The completed RPG will have all types of Nuva (Toa/Skakdi are regulated), immigrants and ex-refugees from across the universe (No pun intended), mutants of all flavors and Ex-Brotherhood soldiers enhanced by technology and surgery. It's a melting pot, to say the least.
  23. IC: Tarotrix looked on with curiosity as one of the newer guards, Vestrix. Ves, obviously exausted, spoke to a Ta-Toa about something. Tar needed to to know, naturally So after the Toa walked away with his companion, Tarotrix walked towards him. "Ves, what happened!" he ordered. Vestrix looked at him with a tired face. "This crazy murderer, Ko-Toa, I think, fled from one of our resident protectors pursued him to the gates." "C'mon, lets go to the Turaga." They walked for a couple minutes before they reached the hut. Vestrix entered first, and at once he saw a paticularly odd scene. Four guards, three regular, and one scout who he swore he'd worked with once. They were all huddled around a Toa, who was right on the ground of a Turaga's hut. "Okay, what the karz is going on here?"
  24. First and foremost, I think I made the clone-character thing a bit too confusing. Let me try to explain in simpler terms: If you had made a character in a now-dead RPG (Say, The Abyss) you can play as him/her in the same form. Say, if you had a favorite character from a long gone RPG, and you wish to play as it again, this is your chance. You can play as it, as long as it is yours. Canon characters are N/A. And I guess the backstory needs to be chopped up and made into a timeline (Thanks for pointing that out, Levacius), as that seems far simpler then my usual, bad habit of complicating RPG histories. And that was a simplified version .
  25. During the downtime, I've managed to work together several ideas into one concept. I still have some work to do with the story and the entry as a whole. But I'd like some feedback, to make sure the story isn't as insane as I hope. So here's the story, in as simple terms I can describe. The Reborn Frontier (Working title) Story: The Order of Mata Nui was discovered, infiltrated and wiped out by the the Brotherhood shortly after Teridax's coup. The Order's secrets fell into the hands of the Makuta due to them averting Daxia's self destruction. Teridax realized that taking over the Mata Nui robot was overcomplicated, and decided to put Mata Nui into eternal sleep. The story continues along its normal path, until the 2006 era. Teridax, having faked death, secretly tricks the Turaga of Metru-Nui into believing that Mata Nui is dying via forgery, drawing away the Toa Nuva and helping to create to Inika in the process. This, however was a diversion. A fleet of airships, loaded with high explosives, are sent to destroy the city. Warned shortly after the Nuva leave, most of the matoran are evacuated. After the city was destroyed, the Brotherhood used it as a ploy to convince nations, city states and other groups to enter a new Brotherhood Empire. Bolstered by a huge army amassed during the Brotherhood-Dark Hunter War, it occupied those countries that choosed to capituate. In order to convince the remaining countries, a small, rich isle was bombed by a new, horrible weapon. 'Greening' Bombs, as they were called, was EP (EP entity is N/A) modified not to destroy, but to create. By transforming into a gas, is either mutated or burned sentinent beings, and turned entire cities into monsterous jungles. It terrified the world, and forced more nations to surrender. Within days, Dark Hunters, several islands, multiple Skakdi clans, the Metru Nui refugees and most of the Northern continent joined into one block, called the Council of the Free (Working title). The Council and the Brotherhood battled for years before being pushed into the Northern continent. From the advancing Makuta hoards, hundreds of thousands of refugees poured into the continent, leading to massive famine. The Brotherhood, while still consolidating its power over the new Makuta Empire, surged into the Tren Krom Peninsula. In addition to the deaths of four Toa Nuva, the capture of another two, and the slaying of seven Makuta, thousands upon thousands were slaughtered in a ten-year campaign. In the end, both sides retreated to consolidate their losses, with the Makuta building a massive wall to seperate each side. On the peninsula, three huge airbases were constructed, and airships by the dozens came in. Day by day, bombers from the continent attacked the overcrowded urban centers, causing the Council to collapse upon itself, and the peoples it once governed to flee to the country, establishing scattered villages and cities as they went. The bombers then moved toward major trails, ports and the cities where the remains of government held on. It was all for an invasion that never came. As Teridax prepared to conquer the continent, but destiny had its way. On a fateful trip to Stelt to review his newly conquered isle, the Toa Hagah, his former protectors who'd been hiding after an attack on Nynrah, assassinated him in public. Then a power vacuum emerged, between those close to Teridax who wished to hold onto power, led by Gorast, those loyal to to upstart Icarax, and a third group of isolationist Makuta, led by Krika. For eighty years, the factions and the puppet states aligned with them engaged in a bloody civil war, ending with the defeat and exile of Gorast's forces and the destruction of Krika's. On the Northern continent, civilization moved at a slow pace. While Icarax's Empire advanced to amazing levels, the continent remained a group of primitive villages until after the end of the Brotherhood's civil war. The end of the war caused the now hated and reviled members of Krika's and Gorast's armies to flood into the east, bringing with them innovation and progress. Little by little, people began to return and clear away the ruins of the forested cities, and began to rebuild. With violence between the Dark Hunter and Ex-Brotherhood forces on the rise in the east, the Metru-Nuian dominated west reacted by organizing a new organziation. The United Commonwealth, to guard and protect its people. Unfortunately for the Commonwealth, its military leaders, who controlled most of the government, were still paranoid about the Brotherhood. They were certain that the only way to fend of an invasion was to gather a huge army. But due to a limted number of available soldiers, Toa in pacticular, many idea came forth. Everyone from shamans to village nutjobs came forth. The most radical came from a Vortixx refugee from Xia, a recent immigrant from the east named Dr. Vhesa. Dr. Vhesa, regarded by most as a fraud with several degrees in science, came to a comitee of generals and told her plan. The idea was to clone the greatest warriors from different multiverses. The idea was absurd, but to the generals it was the answer to their problems. They, however, lacked scientists. So after a daring raid on Xia, several of the most influential scientists were held against their will, given a almost unlimited budget. After three decades, it was complete, and once it was sent into action, it both suceeded and failed. In front of awed generals, the machine cloned and materialized heroes, villians and civillians from the nearby multiverse. After which, it exploded in a massive blast, forming a massive black desert and killing both the scientists and the generals. The clones, however, landed softly. The resulting chaos and culture clash resulted in an early demise to the Commonwealth. The clones, disoriented and utterly confused, scattered along both sides of the desert, forming mostly along universal lines. Most settled down and formed peaceful communtiies. Others, however, pursued the same paths their originals chose. Dictators, conquerers, warlord and all types of evil florished in both the chaotic easty and the peaceful west. With both good and evil countries forming along all sides, it is only a matter of time before war breaks out. Selling Point: In The Reborn Frontier, players are given a unique chance to ressurect old characters, create new ones, form countries and determine the destiny of an entire continent. It simply means that you can bring back almost any character, from almost any winning RPG (RPG Contest 1-present & any BZPRPG year) the player has joined. And the character can take any form from the time it was played (If you started the game as a matoran, and became a Toa midgame you can be either form).
