  1. Just a few days ago I had an idea, but I didn't have enough time to post it. Here it is:

A decade has passed since the Great War and the defeat of the Crystaliens. The surrvivors wisely allied with the humans. They lived in peace, mining and sharing the crystals.

    But something changed.

An alien king, Xhao-Chan, saw what had been done to the aliens during the war. He despised that anyone had ever warred with the Crystaliens. He rebelled, and others followed. The humans took immediate action, and dusted off old blueprints for long-unused war vehicles. New machines were created, and the old models improved. THe old battle flags were flown once again as orange and white again clashed against black and green.

    Then the scroll was found.

An old parchment, written centruies ago by the native Martians, that told of white energy crystals of amazing power. One of them could power a house for a week. Xhao-Chan soon found out, and the war intensified quickley as both sides raced to find the gem.

For he who found the white crystals would also find domonim over the planet.

    The war begins...

What do you think? I'm not the best of writers, but you get the general idea. The theme would also include glow-in-the-dark energy crystals. B)

  3. Maybe a Luna-class deep space exploration ship found it, while charting the Beta Quadrant? Then sent word back to Starfleet to send a ship out there?

That depends on whether or not you would have the book series Star Trek: Titan be canon, or at least have aspects of it be canon, for Colony 5, though.

hmmm...well, cause of conflicting data, i prefer not make the comics or books canon. but, maybe we can make up a class of ships that was charting wherever colony 5 is located...

Why not say "some things from the books and comics are canon, but only if I say they are?"

I think it would be easier to recycle the Luna class deep space explorer and say "while this particular starship is canon, it does not mean that any events from the Star Trek: Titan book series are canon", rather than invent a new class of deep space explorer that would basically be the same as the Luna, but without any of the events that happened in ST: Titan.

In other words, the ship would be pretty much the same, it would just be the name that's different.

that makes sense about having the classes from them and it stops the issue of canon.

how about using a dauntless class starship?

  5. ...ah. i understand what you're saying now...

however, now reading your post a little closer, i kinda have to say no. this is still the prime universe, but it's set after when spock left.

It cant be the prime universe due to this

voyager was returning, they had on long-range sensors

they came through a transwarp conduit so they wouldn't see any planets.

  6. ...forgive me, i guess i havent seen that episode yet :P the place i get my star trek info from isn't loading on this computer, so you'll have to wait until i get home to look this up.

summary of The "state of flux"

Ensign Seska is found to have been trading Voyager's replicator technology to the Kazon in clear violation of the Prime Directive and an investigation uncovers an even more surprising revelation she is a Cardassian spy.

the reason i suggested it is because of the USS Equinox.
