So, its a Bionicle building contest where the goal is to not use Bionicle pieces?

I must say that that is strange. I don't have any system building skills whatsoever. I'm going to have to sit this one out, I think.

Read on for a tour of the SECOND half of Epcot- World Showcase!

Moving clockwise around the World Showcase Lagoon, the first pavilion you see is Mexico. Once inside the large pyramid temple structure, you really feel as if you are transported to Mexico on a mysterious evening. This pavilion is home to a boat ride called Gran Fiesta Tour starring the Three Cabelleros.

Onto Norway. Norway has one of the few rides in World Showcase, Maelstrom. A viking-themed boat ride, you explore Norway's history and folklore with a few surprises along the way.

China is home to one of two Circlevision 360 films in World Showcase. Circlevision 360 is a technology in which scenes are shot with a special camera theatres where screens are placed all around you in a full circle, for 360 degree coverage.

Germany is all about the atmosphere. There are specialty dining options all around and great shops to stroll through. The aroma of the signature pretzels wafting through the area is enough to make me love this pavilion.

Italy is, like Germany, about the food and the atmosphere. The gelato is great on a summer day. Food is part of the experience of exploring World Showcase.

The United State pavilion is home to the American Adventure, a half hour show that goes through the history of America. The colonial theme is well represented here.

Japan is just plain fun- walk right on through the giant store filled with quirky Japanese specialty merchandise. The store even sells pre-packaged (also quirky) Japanese foods. Check out the Koi Pond.

Morocco is amazing in that you really feel like you are in Morocco as you set foot into the pavilion. The feeling of walking through the narrow, well-themed walkways deep into the pavilion is like no other. There is even a sense of mystery as you walk along.

Residing in France is a film entitled "Impressions de France." While the film isn't Circlevision 360, it is displayed on five huge screens, offering 200 degree coverage.

United Kingdom is really cool. Take in the architecture and the red phone booths. The Rose and Crown pub is known as the place to go for the United Kindom's signature fish and chips. In between the UK pavilion and Canada is a daily performing celtic rock bank called Off Kilter. Awesome stuff!

Canada has become my favorite pavilion. Canada is home to a Circlevision 360 film entitled "O Canada!" A 2007 update to the film brought Martin Short and his great humor and narration of the beautiful scenes of Canada. Also at the Canada pavilion is a REALLY good steakhouse called Le Cellier.

Oh, I mustn't forget about the nighttime spectacular Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. A wonderful combo of fireworks, light effects, and pyro.

And that's about it for Epcot. Next park to be toured- Disney's Animal Kingdom.

So, I'm off school, now. Spring recess. I was at a friends house and came back with the Kaxium and another Stronius (both unopened). He said he got them as birthday gifts and that I could have them.

    Epcot tour coming soon.

It's complete. The new images include some obscure terms, so let's check it out:

Vacation Kingdom of the World- I thought I saw this on an old ad somewhere on the internet.

Leave a Legacy- Large stone sculptures in front of Spaceship Earth (the "big golfball") . Further explained on the plaque in front of the sculptures. People could have their pictures taken and etched onto a piece of metal that would go onto the sculpture.

Walt Disney World Monorail System- The world famous monorail system travels between the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and select resorts. It loops around Spaceship Earth and goes straight through the Contemporary hotel.

Main Street Windows- As seen in the picture, the windows on Main Street USA in front of the castle in the Magic Kingdom have the names of various people who have influenced the Disney Company. My content block is actually just over 9000 approvals, but oh well.

The Florida Project- Due to the high secrecy of the purchasing of land for Disney World, the project was referred to as Project X or the Florida Project within the Walt Disney Company.

And... that covers it. I think.

Park tour entries soon to come... I'm thinkin' one per week, for each of the 4 parks.

...and I got Echo Base, Woody and Buzz to the Rescue, and a second chrome Stormtrooper minifig. Echo Base was underwhelming when I was actually building it, but it looks really cool once you finish. Bland build, cool appearance. Hm.

That set was overpriced, too. $25 for 155 pieces?

Oh, and it looks really cool with the Freeco Speeder next to it. New MOC being posted soon, guise.
  6. Kylus
Yeah, no school today. Parent-teacher conferences. So, this means that I'll be on a bit more, likely. Imma go build my Freeco Speeder soon.

    GLORIOUS

I called ahead to my TRU to see if they had them. They said they only had a few, but I got them to hold one for me. I'm on my way, my precious.

So, what set should I buy? Has to be Star Wars. I was thinking about getting the Freeco Speeder, or possibly just settling for a battle pack.

    Thoughts?

UPDATE: I'm back from TRU with my Freeco Speeder and Chrome Stormtrooper minifig. I had asked over the phone if they would sell me an additional one for the listed $3, but they said they had very few left for the promotion. :| I'm just going to keep mine unopened, and maybe sell it sometime.

    Pics to come later.

I just caught this on the Disney Parks Blog:

The Photoshop of the monorails makes them look pretty ugly, but I think it'll end up being cooler IRL. Just think of it-- a TRON lightcycle running around EPCOT. Sounds pretty sick if you ask me. B)

Oh, and it looks like Tron is coming out on my birthday next year.

I just saw it, because all of the on-demand movies available from my TV provider were free today only.

Oh right, the movie. Well, what can I say- it was cute, funny, and had lots of references to everything LEGO (even AFOLs). But the cutest thing from the movie:

Nothin' cuter than a baby rock monster.
