I think starting from 2006, I got at least one set, usually many more, as a gift for the next decade or so.
This year, my mom sent me out last minute for gifts for my family. I tried to find some Duplo for my nephew since he's getting to be around that age, but the store was all sold out. I may have picked up a Ninjago City Gardens for myself though, you know, just while I was there.

Around a whole month of Chima? Now where have I heard that idea before...?

It looks a lot better than the last few. I'm way behind on these things now though. Last one I got was the diner. And I prioritize getting Ninjago City Gardens and Spring Lantern festival over all the "normal" modulars, so...

I played through Impostor Factory over my Thanksgiving holiday. Made me cry.

Happy Thanksgiving! I'm definitely thankful for Bionicle and BZP too.

It's crazy how weird you can make the character while still having it be recognizable.

I'll be honest, I was not expecting updates to this in 2021. Glad to see it got some sort of conclusion though.

Been listening to this in preparation for a bracket of 1976 songs.

Xae winning the October raffle? Suitably spooky, let's go.

You did a good job of differentiating it from Mata Nui as you said. The lettering on the upper left side works great too! Hopefully I'll get to see it at Brickfair if you do decide to send it.

I'm still very early in arcanist itself, so I don't think I'll be affected too much. Plus, dealing with class reworks is just part of the genre. Maybe I'll play some today if I can find the time.

Out of curiosity, what race and starting class did you pick?
Hyur, I believe they're called? The human equivalent. I went with the bigger variant.
For class I started with Arcanist. Scholar and Summoner both look somewhat interesting to me, so it seemed like a good choice. So far I am liking it. The playstyle kind of reminds me of the warlock from WoW, relying on DoTs+Pet, which is something I like. I've also never played a healer in an MMO before, so I like that aspect too.

Since my last post, I took a 2 month or so break from League of Legends, but I've been getting back into it.
I tried out a little bit of FFXIV as those above me have mention. WoW is one of my all time favorite games, but I haven't played it in a few years. FFXIV so far is enjoyable for a lot of the same reasons, but I haven't played enough to say if it's a better game or if I'll stick with it. I think for sure the biggest strength FFXIV has over WoW is the ability to do everything on one character though. Might make it hard to go back to WoW, but that's unlikely anyway.
I've been playing some Town of Salem for the spooky season. Also played the final DLC for Spooky's House of Jumpscares/Jumpscare Mansion that came out last year.
Finally, just today, I finished 100%ing Kirby Planet Robobot! Pretty good game. The bosses were a bit harder than Triple Deluxe, where they were mostly cheesy. I really enjoy the Kirby series and I've been talking about it with my friends too. We tried a run of the Return to Dreamland true arena on campus last week. I'm at the point now where I would have to pick up a switch to get the next games though, and I'm not sure I have the money to do that right now. (I'd rather buy Ninjago City Gardens even if I did have the $300 to blow.)

good gravy
you must be existing on a whole other level of Lego fan to
actually count your sets
but i probably have 50-60
and a lot of them in pieces
I use Brickset's collection feature to keep track of it for me.
Current at 735 sets, 675 unique.

It's definitely a great set, and Titanic related stuff is cool, but I just don't have the money for that. And even if I did, I don't have the space. I do like it though. I just hope at that price it includes extra pieces to make it into the Britannic!
-
Throwing some shade at the skull villains there, huh?
-
I know a lot of people are disappointed by the lack of minifigure scale Mario sets, but a box that folds out into scenes is cool at any scale. I'll still probably pass just do to price and space concerns. I've got my eyes on Ninjago City Gardens and maybe Spring Lantern Festival to be my big sets for the year.

I like the armored knight with spear look you have here. As you said, the HF guns work well as armor.

There was a fan made Metru Nui online game that played a lot like MNOG, but it seems like the website that hosted it is gone now.
-
It's relatively simple, but a good self moc. The color scheme is interesting and the accessories add a lot. We all know people love a
birdBionicle with a hat.The only criticism I have is regarding the large gap between the hip piece and the armor. I think you might want to look at finding a way to fill that in, especially since you have a couple open connections there to work with.
-
Good work, you did a great job of capturing the look and feel of the original while still making something new. I especially like the gun.

Dude I love 108NICLE day.
This is exactly why I think if they're going with the whole "2 Bionicle days" thing this year, the second one should be on October 8th rather than following immediately after.
-
Of course they're welcome! I've actually been thinking about that connection since I had this whole "dawg" idea haha.
I went to my first Brickfair Virginia as a public member in 2009. I've been to nine more as a full registrant since then. I have only been to one non-Brickfair VA Lego con, that being Brickmagic in North Carolina in 2015, which was MUCH smaller. I have also been to a few non-Lego conventions, but those aren't nearly as fun.

Hi, welcome back. I can't say I really remember you too well, but I do remember your signature for sure if nothing else.
By the way, we do have an official topic for these types of things over in general discussion. Alternatively, blog privileges have been extended to all members in the time since you've been gone, so feel free to make use of that too.

I think this is a good move. BZP has not been amazing as a news source for a long time. Lately, I think it's even been overtaken by Mask of Destiny.
Plus you already do lot for the community without needing to post random news bits every day! I'm excited to see any other changes that come from this.
