  1. Could be that the Protectors are the military side of the villages and the masks are more or less part of their uniform. Aren't they trying to fight into that city belonging to Makuta?
  2. So are the Toa the only 6 Toa in existence? The original tribal-theme of BIONICLE didn't really give much in the way of a long story, which is why I think they ditched that tribal setting and went to that sci-fi type of thing with Metru Nui and opening everything up into the MU. Also, I know you've been discussing this guys, but the Matoran race was replaced by the Protectors? Is there only one Protector for each element, or multiple?
  3. Kopaka doesn't sound like Kopaka anymore, and neither does Lewa Gali's mask isn't feminine enough like Toa of Water masks use to be. Bulky golden armor is to bulky. Designs on armor makes it look cheap. Overall pieces don't look very Bionicle-ish. Okoto's borders look weird. Finished ranting. Glad to see the Toa Mata are back, glad to see we're going back to tribal/island stuff.
  4. Is it possible to read/download the BIONICLE Books online?
  5. So...an even bigger MU robot? Hey, it can always go up to eleven.
  6. nvm that Brickset Inventory helped me out on it.
  7. Perhaps, yeah, that makes sense. Alright, what about those hydraulic rods for Maxilos' back?
  8. Well would anyone happen to know where the two Hewkii-grey pieces go to?
  9. I ain't to sure if they're arms, but it's the two 'mini-arms' right above his hips; are those long arm/leg pieces Hewkii-grey? And also, what color is his upper-arm piece? Metru grey or Hewkii grey? And I assume his hands are Metru-grey? Sorry guys, these instruction booklets online make it hard for me to comprehend the colors correctly.
  10. Axonn has very special hands cause I don't know of any other BIONICLE figure who has them like that. So you have two rods, 5 'matoran arm/legs', and 5 'shoulder' pieces. You also have those two flat pieces that go between the knuckles to keep the fingers spaced out, they have two + holes for the two rods. I'm pretty sure they're metru-grey, but I wanted to make sure. Are they grey or black?
  11. A reboot doesn't mean starting the story over from where it originally began. If LEGO wanted to, they could reboot the storyline and start it with the Toa Metru, or with the Toa Mata's training on Daxia, or even with a team of Toa we'd never seen before on an island we've never seen before. A reboot doesn't have to follow the same exact path of the original storyline. Rather, it reinvents the storyline from the ground up. A reboot does not mean the new storyline has to take place on Mata Nui, or retell ANY of the theme's previous stories. I sort of wonder if a lot of people's resistance to the idea of a reboot is fueled in part from not understanding what a reboot actually is. The movie The Amazing Spider-Man can be considered a reboot, even though it invokes an entirely different villain than the original Spider-Man movie and gives Peter Parker a different girlfriend (Gwen Stacy, his original girlfriend from the Spider-Man comics, rather than Mary Jane Watson). The latest Tomb Raider game can also be considered a reboot even though it tells Lara Croft's origin story rather than the same adventure story as the original game from 1996. I know what it is, but considering the names of the leaked sets we know exactly who will be major characters in the the story. What I meant is like, instead of having the Toa Mata fight the masks on Mata Nui, they instead are finding pieces of the MoC on Mata Nui for some other purpose or something.
  12. If this is going to be about the MoC, then we can be certain this ISN'T a reboot right? Unless they completely changed everything at the start of the story. Also, I've always imagined an awesome online BIONICLE game where you can choose your own bodies, colors, masks, weapons, element, and fighting styles; that would be very cool. I also imagined an online component for a stand-alone single-player game where you choose from a list of characters and fight each other on maps in 6v6 matches. Kopaka can see the enemies through walls, Tahu can shield himself from ranged attacks, Lewa can levitate to higher elevations, Gali can swim through secret waterways where no one else can go, Pohatu can move quickly, and Onua can bust through walls and dig underneath enemies... and all the while they can use elemental powers to free, burn, stun, knock away, and disrupt the enemies. If one team chose a legitimate team (each player on a team chose one Toa Nuva) you'd get a bonus to health/damage/defense, etc.
  13. I always wondered if the Toa Mata/Nuva would turn into Turaga; I also wondered whether or not they could turn into Turaga. I don't know if I would consider the Nuva as normal Toa (as in, they've always been Toa, unlike most Toa who were once Matoran such as the Metru or Inika). So could they become Turaga? While we're on the subject, could the Inika/Mahri become Turaga as well? Are the Inika/Mahri currently in their Mahri or Inika forms? Are the Mata/Nuva suppose to be the strongest Toa in BIONICLE?
  14. I enjoyed the Mata/Nuva, mostly because they were 'original' but also because I really like ( and still do) Kopaka; he's my favorite character in BIONICLE. I also really liked Gali, then Onua and Pohatu, Lewa, and finally Tahu (in that order). I'm not saying I disliked Tahu, cause I really do like him, that''s just my way of doing things. So you can understand why I was a bit upset when the Piraka practically rolled right over them when they arrived on Voya Nui; the Mata/Nuva were my heroes and they got demolished in the Voya Nui storyline (twice!). I know it wasn't there 'destiny' to do that particular mission, but whatever. I was also put off when they ditched Kopaka's shield in Karda Nui and replaced his swords and shield in favor of a ranged weapon, and likewise with Gali; I did not enjoy that in the slightest. I also really liked the Inika because they were really interesting, and I liked seeing such old characters come back into the story in an exciting way. Toa Inika Nuparu was one of the coolest figures I ever had. My least favorite, maybe the Hagah, cause I knew next to nothing about them.
  15. A continuation is alright, cause then I can see what finally happened to Kopaka, but I'm also not against a reboot; with the story already developed, the (new?) writers can go back and rework it to make it 'better'. It's sort of like the MARVEL movies; the comics have been being written for a very long time, but now that the film makers have all of this background, they are starting their own universe (the cinematic universe) that is much more knitted together. They have included Starks father in a Captain America movie, Cap's super-soldier serum in the Hulk, Stark was in the Hulk, among many other things.
