  1. Wondering if for my 5th Fable III save I should go with the 'White Knight' or 'Mario' characterzation.

  2. So I've still got Halloween on the brain. And that song just won't get out. In the meantime, here I sit when I should be asleep. Because I have work today. But for some reason, my body has decided 3 hours is enough sleep. I wonder if my body has a mind of it's own separate from my consciousness. That would explain why i tend to do things without really thinking it though. My body just does it. It might also explain the phenomena of people doing things despite being unconscious. Like in those Anime's you see where people fight on despite being knocked out, the will to continue keeps their bodies going despite not having a higher conscious to "drive" the body. If anybody can find a case where this has happened in real life let me know. That would be awesome to look at and analyze. I've also been thinking about Donuts lately too. I think I want some. Might explain the cravings and the fact I giggle when I think about it. You know that also makes me wonder... when you say a word too many times it starts to become funny and you wonder how they came up with it? That also leaves an interesting question. Why do we feel the need to give Latin names to things. Take the common rodent rat for example: Rattus. I don't need to know Rattus, in fact I'd confuse a lot of people if I used that term. They understand "Rat" far more clearly. It might have something to do with the fact that all words have some kind of root in Latin, if that is the case then why do we need to give it a Latin name when it's English name is already a translation of some Latin word. Dead Language my Miru! Speaking of rats, I'd love to get another one for a pet. Rats are so much fun and they are just so CUTE! The way they just look at you as they sit there on their hind paws and sniff and nibble on the food you offer them. They're hilarious too. One of my pet rats chased the family dog! He was a medium sized cockier spaniel. He love to just sniff the rats and then lick them whenever he saw them. One of them had enough of this and promptly started chasing him in a circle. Wish I had a camera. Probably could have sent that to America's Funniest Home Videos and won some cash!
  3. "Well now that you've brought my Corporals. We can get started." He glanced back at Tanuka and Agarin. "Since you seem to getting all chummy with my Scholar I'm thinking I need to bring you along as well. It couldn't hurt. Having a few Toa along should be enough to keep mother from freaking out." "Nokama is going to freak regardless of what you do Kalama. She's at her wits end trying to keep us all safe and you going gallivanting off on wild adventures does not ease her nerves in the slightest." Kali accused the singular male resident as they led the group down towards the docks. "You're fussing just as much." "I'm your friend Kalama. I worry about you just as much as she does. We both lost you once after the Second Great raid and we're not keen on reliving that experience." Kalama grunted before the silence settled. "So is Macku still acting like a recluse?" Kali asked wanting to change the subject to something lighter not wanting to fight anymore. "Somewhat. Whatever happened at the Kini-Nui really got her spooked. You were at the battle Juno. Any ideas?" Juno shook her head. "We got there just in time. They'd already been fighting off Rahi for little under two weeks. After the Tarakava turned and fled from here, I was sent along with 9 Marines to the Kini-Nui to follow and report back. The battle we found was... well... rough. We lost 4 Marines. Good women, all of them. The Ussalry was in the thick of it. In any case we secured Macku and brought her home. She hasn't been right since. It's the worst case of Battleshock I've ever seen. We can only imagine what she saw." "What about that Le-Koroan that was with them when she left? He was cute!" Lei asked. Juno shrugged. "Supposedly something happened to the Chronicler. Takua wasn't it? The Cha-COD and mother were discussing it. It had something to do with him that caused Macku to act funny." Hotu added. "Surely you know something Kalama! They're keeping it among the higher ups and Nokama and you're her son for Pohatu's sake!" "Mother knows about as much as you do and she would have told me if she knew anything she thought I should know. She's not one to keep too many secrets. We all know that. She would have to have a REALLY good reason to keep something hidden." Kalama said stopping before one of the Marine Corps Fast Attack Cutters. "GKMC-7012. This is our boat." "You know I don't do sea travel well." "Quit your complaining and get in the boat Tokain."
  4. Kalama saw Alrin shift as he noticed Nala and grinned. "Awww she likes you... or she's going to snap your neck in her sleep. But I think it's the former, just don't panic."
  5. Kalama regarded Alrin, shrugged, and said "I don't particularly care. Nala looks comfortable up there anyway and I'd rather she stay that way. Having a ticked ShadowWalker after me is not one of my more favorite experiences. Ever been through a temple before?"
  6. So I'm taking the time to expand more on categorizing since I'll probably be using this whenever I get bored. I'll go ahead and explain a little more in the event you decide to stick around and let me entertain you. BZPRPG: Yes I play the BZPRPG. Boredom killer. I'll probably end up chronicling the mishaps and adventures of the character Kalama here under that cat so as to keep my gameplay straight. That and it probably will end up making a pretty cool epic later on. Probably anything under this one will take place from a character's point of view. Rants: Love 'em or hate 'em. Everyone has got some and I'm no different. If I feel like whining it will be here. Musings: I tend to ramble. This leads me to discovering the secrets of the universe. You might learn something if it's under here. Comedy: Satterthwhite and I got together years ago and started a comedy known as The Adventures of Bolt and Crew. The original tale remains unfinished and archived. There's a link in my sig. News for that will show up here. Currently we're hashing out how to continue it with the move. ?: i'm not sure why I added this. Maybe so I can ask random questions and see what you guys and gals think. Q: Probably another joke category. I think I'll keep this one around as a random category and figure out what to use it for later. General: This one is more or less the catch all and more about the blog itself or other things I can't fit anywhere else. Or under Q. Games: i'm a gamer and I like to talk about games. I'll probably end up rambling underneath this one about games I've played or such. Okay. I feel better now.
  7. OOC: FEAR Lei's adorable aura! XD IC: Lei beamed happily and tugged on Alrin's arm leading him in the direction they needed to go. "Great! Let's go!" ------- Tanuka cocked her head to the side. "You're a musician?" she asked. Spotting movement out of the corner of his eye, Kalama noticed the two missing Corporals hurrying though the crowd. One of them was leading a Toa of Ice by the hand in his direction. The Toa had Nala over his shoulder. "DOUBLE TIME IT SLACKERS!" He barked. When the two junior enlisted Marines finally stood rigidly before their Commander prepared to be dressed down, Kalama just stared at them. "Good. You made it. What took you so long?" He asked. "Sir! Nala was asleep out of reach Sir!" Hotu responded. "Out of reach?" "On the roof Sir!" Kalama shook his head. Nala was a strange one. He glanced at the Toa. "And who's this?" "Alrin Sir!" Lei said. "We ran into him on the way here and he offered to carry Nala Sir!" Kalama looked Alrin up and down. "You'll do. Huddle up Marines. You too Alrin. Nala needs to hear this." "Okay. Tokain here has a job for us. And by us I meant me but your XO has taken it upon herself to cut your leave short and make you accompany me. A mutual friend, and by that I mean someone who both Tokain and I know who has been a thorn in our sides before, has taken over a recent unearthed temple." "Supposedly it's the Suva of a Toa that didn't exist but was supposed to." Tanuka added. "Well look at that Tokain. Having her around is paying off already." Kalama chuckled. Tokain grinned. "Good. That means she'll be able to identify the really rare artifacts that need... liberatin'". "Who's the OpFor?" Juno chipped in. "The opposing force is one Lady Yorlonda." "Yorlonda? Oh now I'm glad I got pulled off leave." Nuraka cracked her knuckles. "She shorted me on some work I did to her private cruise boat. Now I see an opportunity to collect on the rest of that debt." "Ah told ye ye shouda' naught taken dat job!" Yuni said. "An oi was roight wern't oi? She stiff ya gud lass." "And now I'll take it out of her hide! With interest!" "Ladies please. I know some of us have beef with our false nobility. But the plan is simple. Get in, get the artifacts, get out, get paid. End of story." Kalama stretched. "Now if there are no questions?"
  8. Tanuka jumped as Agarin introduced himself and looked warily at his hand before reaching out slowly and shaking it slowly. "Hi." She said quietly. "I... I'm Tanuka." ------- "Eh, she's fine. She's thick." Lei punched Hotu in the arm for the crack. "Actually we're on our way to meet up with the rest of our unit. Got called in earlier." Lei sighed. "And I had plans tomorrow night..." she whined. Hotu blinked. "No you didn't. You broke up with your last boyfriend." "I was gonna look!" "Whatever. I'm glad actually. I'm itching to sink my fists into some Rahi's face!" Lei sighed. "You're so violent Hotu. You'll never find a boyfriend like that!" "If he can't take a punch or throw one I'm not interested. Now come on! Let not be any later then we already are!" "Hey maybe we should have Alrin here carry Nala! That would let us move faster!" Hotu paused. "Well he SHOULD owe you for running over you like that." "Come on Alrin! Help us out! We're gonna get chewed out by Kalama and we need to hurry or it's only gonna get worse!" Lei gave him big mournful eyes pleading with the Toa to help them.
  9. Hotu, having shrugged off Lei, narrowly avoided collision. Poor Lei on the other hand was laughed at by her friend as she was practically stomped on by the Toa causing him to collapse and fall down on her. Hotu laughed harder at the tangled mess they ended up in. "NOT FUNNY HOTU! NOT FUNNY AT ALL!" Lei yelled indignantly from somewhere underneath the Toa. "Yes it is. If you had let go when I told you to you would have been watching where you were going." "YOU THREW ME!" "I did nothing of the sort Lei." The strongwoman easily shifting the heavy Toa off her lighter sister. Lei rolled to her feet while Hotu helped the icy Toa off the ground. "Sorry about that." Hotu said. "Lei doesn't always watch where she's going." Lei stuck her tongue out at Hotu. She offered her hand to the Toa. "Corporal Lei, Kalama's Raiders, 17th Ghekulas!" She chirped introducing herself. "Corporal Hotu. The same. This here is Nala." Hotu shrugged a shoulder causing the Matoran to stir slightly but not wake. "She's nocturnal which is why I'm carrying her." "What's your name?" Lei asked. ------- "We're off ta... "liberate", some artifacts." Tokain said to answer Agarin's question. "Pillage a temple is more like it." Kali grumbled. "It's not pillaging if we're taking from somebody else who got there first." Tokain grinned. "Whatever helps you sleep at night tomb raider." "Ah like ta think of myself as an 'Artifact Reclaimer'. When I'm not fightin' for the cause." Tokain retaliated. Kali snorted. Kalama gave her a look that said "Enough Kali." She turned so she wasn't facing the Stone Toa and said nothing more. A female Toa of Water slowly wandered up. "Um... hi..." she waved at the group. "I-i-is this where Ka-ka-kalama was meeting up?" "By Tahu why are my Corporals the last to show up?!?!" Kalama suddenly said startling the nervous Toa and making her jump. Kalama shook his head. "Sorry Tanuka. Yes this is where we were all meeting up." "Oh. Okay." She said quietly, barely above a whisper. She drifted past and settled daintily on a nearby crate, folding her hands in her lap. The shield and spear on her back naturally shifting so she could sit. She sat there quietly, eyes nervously flittering about. Tokain watched her with mild interest. Giving a low whistle he remarked. "If it wasn't for the fact we already know what happened to Gali, I could have sworn that was Gali herself sitting there." Kalama nodded. "Yeah Tanuka sometimes gets confused for Gali. Dunno if it's coincidence or something bigger."
  10. Kalama shrugged. "SpecOps. If we were ordinary we would be dead. What is taking them so long? It's not like Nala is hard to find this time of day." Kalama rose up on his toes scanning the crowd for his missing Corporals.
  11. "Le-Koro. I've been out that way a few times." "And nearly eaten." Tokain chuckled. "You weren't exactly spared ether Tokain so nix it!" The large Toa of Stone grinned. Kalama looked around spotting another Marine making her way up. "Naow whut's dis all aboot den Kalama? Yer lass doon called us all oof leave fer sommat crazy trek naow?" Gunnery Sergent Yuni inquired. "Her decision. I would have left you all on leave but someone thinks I can't handle myself." Kalama said shooting Kali a look which she returned with equal strength. "An ye shure dey ain't marrrried ye't Maya? Coz dey actin' loike it." It took all Maya's discipline not to burst out laughing. "Where the Makuta are the Corporals?" Kalama barked startling the two. "I believe they went to go get Nala." ------- "Come on Hotu! We're late enough as it is! If Kali isn't going to chew our heads off Kalama sure will!" Corporal Lei bounced back and forth between 8 bounds ahead of Corporal Hotu and next to her. "You wouldn't be so bouncy if YOU had to haul this!" Hotu snapped at her friend referring to the sleeping Matoran wrapped around her shoulders. "At least move faster!" Lei tugged on Hotu's arm. "LEGGO LEI!" The bigger than average Ga-Koroan managed to shake off her excitable counterpart and regain her balance without dropping Nala.
  12. "Kalama." He shook Agarin's hand. "You're not from around here are you? I get around and I haven't seen you before."
  13. Kalama glanced up at the Toa who had inquired about the situation and shook his head. "No issue." He said evenly staring back at Kali who returned his gaze. "Just a little lovers spat." Tokain grinned. Kali tilted her head slightly to hide the blush she was fighting. This action caused the two Ga-Koroan Marines behind her to giggle. Kalama blinked and then turned on the Toa of Stone. "Tokain we're not like that." He missed the hurt in Kali's eyes when he said that statement but she had recollected herself by the time he turned back around. At this time a third Ga-Koroan had joined them. Chief Petty Officer Juno saluted her CO smartly before he returned the gesture allowing her to stand off to the side at ease quietly.
  14. Tokain looked up seeing the smaller Matoran head his way, geared up with his usual bag of survivalist tricks. "Didn't think you were gonna show Professor." "And miss out on rubbing it in "Lady" Yorlonda's face when we swipe yet another artifact out from under her nose? I'd rather get eaten by a Nui-Kopen." "Mmmmthere wuz that one time..." "And we agreed never to speak of it again." Tokain laughed. Then he frowned looking over Kalama behind him. "Yoooouuu didn' call the CALvary did you?" Kalama blinked in confusion. "No." He turned around. Kali stood there kitted up for the field along with Head Chief Midshipwoman Maya and Chief Midshipwoman 3rd Class Nuraka. Both geared up. Kalama sighed and rubbed the bridge of his mask. "Kali..." Kali glared at her CO. "I've already told Nokama about this. We're coming along or she's grounding you." Kalama glanced at Maya and Nuraka. Maya gave him an apologetic smile and shrugged. Nuraka simply rolled her head working boredom kinks out of it. Kalama sighed. "Who else." "The entire unit." Kalama balked. "You mobilized the ENTIRE UNIT? Blast it Kali this isn't a military operation! We've got another 3 days before we're rotated back on and you want to blow it on MY personal excursion?!?!" "Like it or not Kalama the unit's been mobilized and WE'RE COMING WITH!" Kalama sighed. "Okay, fine. Who else? I know my mother Kali." "Tanuka is coming as well." "That cute little Water Toa who jumps at her own shadow?" Tokain inquired. "The very same." Kalama affirmed. "Geeze Professor, you think that little darlin' is up to this?" "Tanuka is an actual scholar. She might be of some help." "If you say so Professor. You deal with the traps anyway. I just break guardians."
  15. Yeah, I've got Halloween on the brain. Here I am listing to the Nightmare Revisited of Korn's cover of "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" and Marilyn Manson's "This is Halloween". In fact I have the second one memorized and sing it to myself at work. XD So I'm playing Batman: Arkham City. Very good game. WAY too many Riddler Trophies this time around. The fact that some of them are more puzzles then the last one... yeah... still the story itself was good. However like most games that AREN'T the same length of Legend of Zelda titles I find myself blowing through them in a single night. Yeah, I'm that dedicated. In any case, now I've got to occupy myself until Mass Effect 3. Tali is so cute!
  16. Eh... tried to write a first one and didn't see it. So just throwing up this one as a Test to see what happened. Ah the fun of a new interface! Testing to destruction! EDIT: Okay, I know what I did wrong. We're good! I just hit the wrong button.
  17. "And WHERE do you think YOU'RE going?" Kalama paused at the sound of the female voice behind him before resuming his equipment checks. "Annnd who said I was going anywhere?" There was a pause that was filled with the tapping of a single foot and the rustling of the bag as Kalama packed away the gear. Turning the Matoran came face to face with his oldest childhood friend and XO of his Ghekula "Raiders" Ga-Koroan Marines Special Forces Commando unit. Kalienthia, or "Kali" as she was called, narrowed her gaze, arms crossed, foot tapping, barring the door to the hut. He stared back. "Don't you lie to me Kal. You're up to something." "When have I lied to you?" "BLAST IT KALAMA QUIT AVOIDING THE QUESTION!" "I'm avoiding a question?" Letting out a frustrated growl the Marine Helm Major marched up to her Commander and got in his face. "I saw that exchange in the bar Kalama. You know full well with the Toa's recent disappearance and hords of Rahi on the loose that leaving this city is suicide!" Kalama's eyes narrowed. "That's pretty hypocritical coming from you. Or did you forget who saved who when they were cold, hungry, and lost Kalienthia?" Kali flushed with embarrassment and anger working her mouth wordlessly before punching Kalama in the arm and walking away fuming. Kalama shook his head and continued to pack.
  18. THUMP! The heavy Toa of Stone practically threatened to send the entire lily pad into the water as he simply let his weight drop into the chair at the bar next to the person he was looking for. It was quiet for a few minutes as the two ignored each others presence but there was no doubt they knew the other was there and that there was a reason one had sought the other out. The Toa of Stone, who went by the name of Tokain inhaled the drink the bartender had plunked in front of him. Finally he spoke in a slow gravelly voice. "So...Professor. Mmmmthis is where you've been...haaaaahanging out." The other figure didn't react. "Awwww... you still aren't MAD at me I left you hanging on our last..." he paused as he sucked in a breath. "...excursion." "Don't try and sugarcoat it Tokain. You don't come looking for me unless you need me. Spit it out." The Toa spat before chucking. A sound like rocks threatening to start tumbling into a landslide. "Knew the was a reason I kept you around buddy." "Tokain." The other said warningly. "Mmmmrumor is a recent...excavation was going on in Po-Wahi before the site was seized by Yorlonda's people." "Lemme guess. Po-Koro want's it back." "Nnnno actually... The Onu-Koroan's were the one with the claim to it. They could care less about the site. They wanted someone to... liberate... some of the artifacts from our good Lady Yorlonda." "And by liberate they mean race them to the heart where the goods are and snatch them first." "I'm willing tuh cut you in. 60-40 Kalama." "70-30." The Matoran known as Kalama pushed the bandana up from over his eyes and held up the mug. "My way." Tokain chuckled again. "You drive a hard bargain. Deal...Professor." He clanked his glass against the Matoran's.
  19. Well now that you ask what's on my mind, I have been comtemplating Death and Religion. More or less, how the Grim Reaper fits into it all.

Quite so old chap! Enough Dallying!

  20. The more things change. The more they stay the same. XDName: KalamaAppearance: Green Miru with a red cloth tied around the top of it, Gold eyes, Onu-Matoran body, Ga-Matoran legs.Species: MatoranGender: MaleWeapons: Two mysterious faceplate shields of unknown origin, Self carved survivalist knife, Natural Onu-Matoran strength with his own bare fists, a cunning survivalist mindset.Alignment: Ga-KoroPersonality: Typically good natured and helpful, Out to prove that you don't have to be a Toa to fight something bigger than you are... and win.History: LITERALLY came into being a few days after the Founding of Ga-Koro after the Great Rescue, he could be considered the youngest Matoran to walk Mata-Nui. Shortly after he was discovered, Turaga Nokama took him in as her adopted son. There he was raised among the Ga-Matoran. He vanished during the Second Great Tarakava Raid in which over 26 Tarakava raided Ga-Koro driven by the Madness of Makuta's Infection. He was never seen again, thought to be taken prisoner by the Makuta until days after Gali had arrived in Ga-Koro. Recounting events he claimed to have been dragged underwater by a Tarakava who was preparing to kill the Matoran when suddenly out of nowhere what appeared to be a Nui-Jaga's stinger struck the Tarakava. Blinded by the sudden release of poison he swam about helplessly before something gently gripped his arm in a mouth and dragged him onto land. To this day he swears it was a Nui-Jaga but this has been laughed off and the islanders believe another Tarakava attacked the first knocking out Kalama who floated away while the two were fighting.Regardless of how he got away, he ended up on the near inaccessible Northern Peninsula of Po-Wahi. Forced to survive or die he became a skilled Wayfinder and Rahi Hunter. He traveled the island bitten by wanderlust curious as by what it took to survive the harshest the island had to offer along with what it took to bring down the greatest Rahi threats to the island. During this time he became obsessed with Nui-Jaga probably due to how he thinks he was rescued and studied them extensively. He can even communicate with them in their own language having once successfully persuaded one of the beasts to go after what it thought was a rival in a pool of water while the Matoran escaped. He desires to capture and tame one for a companion. Recently he discovered and tracked a Nui-Jaga across the coast of the island. This "Sea-Jaga", he calls it, rarely travels inland preferring to stick to the water, is what he believes to be the same Jaga that saved him from the Tarakava. He is determined to make this Jaga his companion, as soon as he can actually find it...As a self taught survivalist he can survive in even the most desolate hostile environments and can jury-rig a number of useful survival tools from odds and ends. While exploring caves along the Northern Peninsula he came across a pair of what appeared to be large face plates from an unknown creature with some kind of symbol on them. Whatever they came from they quickly make an excellent pair of large heavy shields as well as adhoc throwing discs. Combined with his Onu-matoran strength he has found little need for other weaponry besides his survival knife and his bare hands. A number of hard earned lessons were learned in the wilderness in which he barely escaped with his life making him a skilled fighter and Rahi Hunter. This eventually gave him the confidence that even Matoran could stand up to something many times their size making his personal motto: "The Bigger they are, the Harder they fall." He's rumored to have even taken on a pair of Manas and won but no evidence has been found to support this claim. While in the desert he started hearing whispers in his head that only he can hear. He thought it was delusion brought on by dehydration of the harsh desert but the voice stuck with him whispering of a greater destiny. The voice doesn't seem malevolent so he believes it's not the Makuta. After the Toa descended into the Mangaia he started having dreams about a Silver Miru, something called a "Black Box," and a large robotic being crashing down on a lush forested planet as if being shut down and just collapsing there. The Matoran laugh at these dreams while the Turaga believe they are prophetic involving some great event in the future Kalama must play a part in.He typically stays in Ga-Koro for longer periods of time presumably because it's his home Koro. Often he'll head out just to check on how the other Koros are doing, pit his wits against the wilderness, or follow up on a lead involving the "Sea-Jaga."Weakness(es): As a Matoran he can get easily knocked around by bigger and stronger beings. His confidence and need to prove himself in the eyes of larger beings can sometimes get him into situations "over his head" ( ../forum/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif ). This need to prove himself can result in a refusal to back down even when he's outclassed or badly beaten meaning he's slow on the retreat resulting in the serious risk of his own life. He is very protective of Ga-Koro and eager to take care of business when he believes the Koro and it's inhabitants are threatened regardless of who it is ("I don't care who started it! I'll FINISH IT!"). Gets distracted by Nui-Jaga. Dislikes Tarakava. And yet... I find myself in awe of the smell of fresh plywood and paint...Kalama's Raiders (NPC Marines):Lei: Navigator, Ruru, can read the winds better than any Le-Koroan, speaks tree-speak too.Rank: Corporal“Greetings sir! Lei the Navigator and Tree-speaker at your service!”Lei is a very playful Ga-Koroan much to the chagrin of the other Marines. It’s joked she’s actually a blue female Le-Koroan. Still she’s a capable fighter and her upbeat attitude is quite infectious making her a very welcome and lively addition to any group. She’s very agile and acrobatic making it difficult to hit her. Her preferred method of fighting involves jumping around the battlefield making it hard to hit her while she lashes out with a chain she carries as a whip. She’s very talented with her weapon of choice and can do more than just whip her opponents. Lei was cross-trained by the Le-Koro Gukko Air Force in flying Kahu, Gukko, and Nui-Kopen. She slips into tree-speak when nervous or frightened. Lei has a thing for Le-Koroans and strictly dates the Air Matoran alone.Hotu: Deck hand, Pakari, not an Onu-matoran but strong as a Kane-Ra. Also an excellent shot with a cannon.Rank: Lance Corporal, Corporal“So you’re the Pirate Nokama is up in arms about! Hehe. I’ll have fun keeping you in line.”Hotu is the youngest of three children and the daughter of Master Chief Petty Officer Lanora “The Merciless.” Lei and her were best friends during ‘Marina’ or Marine Basic Training. They continue their friendship to this day. Hotu can often get smart mouthed with her superiors which gives her a reputation of being a troublemaker. Her sister Thessa is the Commanding Officer of Rockwall while her brother Dren is an Elite Guardsman in the Ta-Koro Guard. Hotu, like Thessa, is bigger than the average Ga-Koroan making her naturally stronger. Hotu likes to brawl with her bare fists but isn’t a bad shot with ranged weaponry ether. Hotu is a Natural Born Strength Augmented Marine meaning her Strength Augmentation is of Master Level while the rest of her talents are only Mid. Hotu isn’t very agile so she relies on her mass to shrug off attacks that would normally crush the average Marine.Juno: Helmswoman, Rau, Saltier then the ocean itself, sailed through more typhoons then you are old.Rank: Chief Petty Officer*spits on the deck before moving to her station*Juno is one of the oldest Marines and is very quiet unless she feels the need to speak. She spent most of her assignments in Ko-Koro and is one of the few Marines that can actually stand to work with the Ko-Koro Arctic Watch. Her father was a Ko-Koroan which may explain why Juno seems to fit in so well with the silent Ice Matoran. Juno was cross-trained by the Arctic Watch making her more prepared to deal with the icy Ko-Wahi wastes. Juno is a solid well rounded Marine with enough experience to make her one of the more dangerous threats to her adversaries. She typically oversees the lower enlisted during combat freeing up the Officers to do their job. In her off time, Juno likes to make clay sculptures and dioramas of battles she’s fought.Nuraka: Shipwright, Komau, no one more familiar then ships and their workings or so I’ve been told.Rank: Chief Midshipwoman 3rd Class“You call this a SHIP? I call this a SHIPWRECK! This won’t do at all! She’s getting a major overhaul right this second!”Nuraka is a very proud Shipwright and doesn’t really trust the work of any shipwright other than herself. She is however one of the premiere shipwrights in Ga-Koro and she knows it. Don’t ever argue with her because she’s usually right. Nuraka has a bit of a chip on her shoulder about Makuta and anything having to deal with him which can sometimes make her an unbearable hothead. Secretly she terrified of returning to that awful place enmeshed in the Makuta’s mind, completely aware of herself and everything around her but unable to control her actions. When she was captured during the Third Great Tarakava raid and forced to wear an infected mask she still remembers the horrible deeds her body committed until she was freed by the Original Marines. She never wants to live through that again and can freak out if she thinks she’s going back which causes her to attack anything and anyone she thinks is too close to her. Nuraka’s tools often double as her weapons. She favors a welding laser and a drill.Kalienthia “Kali”: First mate, Miru, Nothing gets past this Ga-Koroan unless she wishes it.Rank: Helm Major“Greetings sir. Kalama tells me you are the captain for this voyage. Just say what needs to be done and consider it that.”Kali as she’s known by is one of the Seven Original Marines. Her mother, Solanis, disappeared during the Second Great Tarakava Raid and was not found. Solanis was the only one who called Kali by her actual name of Kalienthia. Upon formal graduation of Officer’s Academy her grandparents gifted her with a protosteel blade they got from a friend who owed them a favor. She treasures this blade with a reverence reserved as if it were for her lost mother and guards it jealously. Kali was one of the first Ga-Koroans born on Mata-Nui and grew up with Kalama as his oldest childhood friend. Kali has a deep crush on Kalama. Though she denies it when confronted, she gets very jealous when other females show interest in him. Despite all this, Kalama remains aloof and oblivious to any advances (probably due to growing up in an all female village) which both relieves and frustrates Kali to no end. Though she denies her feelings to others, Kali is determined to get Kalama to notice her as a member of the opposite gender. As “The Slicer” of the 7 Original Marines, Kali is a Master Level Marine Class and specializes in swordplay. Swords, knives, daggers, rapiers, kitchenware, if it’s considered a blade she cannot be beaten in a straight fight while wielding it. Once she took on Tahu, Kopaka, and Lewa all at the same time and beat all three. After that they used their elemental powers to win against her. She fights using her Protosteel blade and a normal steel katana. Kali is often serious while performing her Marine duties but off duty she can be a relaxed easy going Ga-Koroan everyone is familiar with and enjoys reading while sunbathing.Nala: Night watch, Hau, WAKE UP NALA! “FOUR AM AND ALL IS WELL FIRST MATE!!!” Nocturnal, not even the Makuta himself can frighten her in the dark.Rank: Honorary*yawn* “Hullo captain… where’s the bunks? I’ll see you at sundown…”Nala is a ShadowWalker, the BIONICLE equivalent of a ninja. Nala is also one of the oldest of the group and is a very lovely looking Matoran. She’s aware of this and isn’t afraid of using her charm to get her way while performing her ShadowWalker duties. Nala is often asleep during the day using the cover of night to perform her secretive acts of the mysterious ShadowWalker Order. Nala has a set of protosteel trenchknives (combat knives with spiked knucklers on the handle that flip down keeping the knives in her hands while she uses them) she was given during her time in the Matoran Civil War before the Time Skip that precluded the Great Cataclysm. ShadowWalkers are not easily separated from their weapons which is why Nala still has her prized trenchknives despite undergoing two memory wipes. Both times her memory of the ShadowWalkers were erased but like all of them she found her way back to it. As a ShadowWalker Nala is not an official Marine but holds the title of Honorary so she can accompany the Marines and is considered ranked below Private. Nala loves to play mind games and loves to tease and poke others just so she can watch their reaction. Nala has a deep affection for paintings and can get somewhat sidetracked to appreciate them and doesn’t like it when paintings are hidden away where they cannot be enjoyed by everyone. She herself is a painter when not being a mild Night Watch or performing daring stunts as a ShadowWalker and is only too thrilled to be asked to paint something for display.Maya: Fisherwoman and Doctor, Kakama, swears by Ruki-oil but that’s not the only thing in her arsenal of medicine. Mean shot with a spear or a harpoon too.Rank: Head Chief Midshipwoman“Hello sir! Do you know how many aliments that the wondrous Ruki can cure?”Maya is one of the Original Marines. Maya is usually even tempered and often the voice of reason for the group. She enjoys her work as a Doctor often fussing over her patients like they were her own children and nothing makes her happier than seeing a smiling patient on the way to recovery. Maya fights using spears and her disc. She often kicks things (usually wooden objects) breaking them off into makeshift javelins if she’s thrown her spear or harpoon. She hates seeing her fellow Marines wounded and may be reluctant to assist a known adversary. As an Original Marine Maya “The Mystic” is credited with the discovery of ‘Aura’ and is a Master Level Aura User. Maya is the only Aura User capable of Regeneration meaning she can heal wounds without cleaning and preparation without ill effects to the injured party or reattach missing limbs. She cannot regrow missing organs or limbs and she cannot bring back those who died. Short of disembowelment and decapitation, Maya is known to heal just about anything. Worried that her skills would make her a target she disguises these miracles by feeding her patients Ruki Oil claiming it’s a miraculous substance responsible for the miracles only she can perform with Aura other Aura Users can’t. It’s bitter taste helps dismiss all but the most desperate of cases. Maya was gifted with a Protosteel tipped scalpel she needed to save the life of a smither’s grandson. The smith let her keep it as a gift for saving his grandson’s life. Maya fondly calls this tool “Mama’s little helper.”Yuni: Mess cook, Matatu, you name it she can make it, providing she has the vittles, watch out for the frying pan and the rolling pin, she’s an excellent hit.Rank: Gunnery Sergeant“DOUF Yer a skinny lad! Tat woon’t due at all! Ah kin see Ah’ve gut me wurk cut oot fer me! Take me too yer larder’s at woonce laddie and be quik aboot it!”Yuni is a very strange Ga-Koroan as her accent can make her somewhat hard to understand but she’s friendly when she’s not lording over the kitchen like a Great Being or assaulting ‘Heretics’ that speak ill of Mata-Nui in her presence. Yuni loves cooking and trying out new dishes on her fellow Marines which can get mixed results. Any unit that has Yuni never goes hungry as she has the ability to stretch food supplies until they scream. They also come across as well fed, brawny, and courageous making them often a feared opponent of raiders and pirates who are quick to turn and flee if they get wind the cook is aboard a vessel coming at them. Yuni herself can be a handful to deal with as she uses her own kitchenware as a devastating arsenal and is a match for most swords with her frying pan. The strangest thing she’s ever done was swordfight some raider’s mount that was trained to wield a sword using her frying pan. To this day the other Marines still think it’s a tall tale embellished for entertainment but it actually happened causing Yuni to favor her (surprisingly effective) frying pan over a blade. Yuni is a Mata-Nui Fanatic who holds Mata-Nui in the highest regard and violently attacks anyone who doesn’t share that view. This causes her to get left behind on some diplomatic missions.Of course to those who know. Our little group isn't complete without our shy Toa of Water.Tanuka, Toa of Water, Kaukau, spear and shield, a young shy Toa who idolizes Nokama and Gali and has lived a somewhat sheltered life inside of Ga-Koro. She overheard me talking to Kali and decided that she wanted to accompany her idol’s son on her first big adventure. She’s a little nervous and somewhat inexperienced so be nice.Rank: None*bows her head looking at her feet rocking back and forth with her hands behind her back* “Hi… Kalama said I could come if… if that was okay… with everyone…”Tanuka was once a shy timid Matoran scholar of no real significance who was happy with her safe orderly life. One day however something called out to her from an undersea cave. Unable to resist she went inside amazed at the history written on the walls of another land entirely. However when she went further in she triggered some kind of trap that sealed her in the rear most part of the cave where it was dark and the rocks inside twinkled like stars almost as if she was trapped in the night sky. In a terrified panic she raced around trying to find a way out when she stepped of an edge but instead of falling down she flew sideways and floated around now FEELING trapped in space with no solid ground beneath her feet unable to tell which way she was falling. The rather peaceful nightmare was too much for the poor Matoran and she blacked out. She woke up to the feeling of something tugging at her finding Kalama pestering her as she was sprawled on the Ga-Koro beach. To her surprise and fear she’d been changed by her experience somehow into a Toa. Like all Toa transformations where the Toa’s appearance matches what the Matoran considers a Toa to look like, she became the splitting image of Gali. The only difference is instead of Gali’s Sea Hooks she had a spear and a Scutum type shield. The fearful Toa barricaded herself inside her old hut for weeks. The entire village managed to coax her out of hiding showing her that while her appearance may have changed she was still the same Tanuka. She took up her old scholarly duties and resumed her normal life only now as a Toa of Water. However her new Toa nature caused her to be unhappy at this simple scholarly life calling to her to become a much needed heroine in a dark time. Still uncertain of her abilities she overheard Kalama talking to Kali and thought she would be much safer learning how to be a hero under the protection of a group of much more established veteran warriors. Much to her surprise and joy, Kalama agreed to let her come along. Tanuka is a little unsure of herself but she draws on the confidence of having experienced allies to assist her as she learns what it means to be a Toa. Maya helps her with training in her given weapons and she quickly proved to be a natural with her elemental powers giving her a measure of confidence in her abilities. Even though she’s a Toa, Tanuka is still a scholar at heart and is quickly learning to love adventuring out, experiencing and learning new things she’s never known before.4th Gukko Irregular's Squad: A squad of non-Le-Matoran who serve in the Civil Defence side of the Gukko Force, The Gukko Irregulars. MM: No! We steal the source of his Lady'ing powers!

    Makuta: His Kratta?
