  1. IC: "T-th-that might help." She stuttered, she was glad she still had basic ideas of things around the island, but any memory of meeting these people seemed to be lost and probably for good reason, if she pushed too hard on her own. Somewhat happier she nodded. "Sure, I mean it can't hurt..can it?" She asked, in someways she was hoping it wasn't but that was far from the truth. OOC: Sorry internet wasn't working for the better half of the day.
  2. That burn was so sick it lit the candle!

    1. Plague

      Plague

Whoah. Just realized you wrote this on my birthday. VIRTUAL HIGHFIVE

  3. Then again maybe it was Cal (crazy idea I know). You can never know with Homestuck. Never.
  4. OOC: I know, I was just letting you know, of course she doesn't exactly remember all this and sometimes I write stuff like this so I remember. IC: She nodded, but it was a bit harder to bite back the tears, the memory of Alrin and Mervik had stirred something inside of her and it obvious was bugging her. Subconsciously she was being affected and that's what made this even worse, she didn't know why Alrin and Mervik had her mood slipping. OOC: Try something like the Ussal Inn, I really don't have any ideas for a place. But an inn regardless would be a good idea. This will probably be my last post for awhile tonight, I got to watch a movie, take some notes on it and write a paper.
  5. That's why Doc Scratch is officially the coolest character in Homestuck, he knew all of this would happen, being omniscient and all. Of course he would gloat, it was all planned from the start.
  6. IC: "Th-that would be nice." She replied, she really needed to rest, the amount of duress from not only the foot travel, but the all the new memories was quite a bit for Valria to shift through. As she followed Agni, she answered his question. "I-I-I don't know..." She sniffed, upset that she would have forgotten so much, and also because...remembering them made her sad for some other reason. OOC: The team consisted of at least five Toa, currently the only ones alive are Valria and Alrin, both worse for the wear.
  7. IC: Alrin pulled the knife out his sheath, his left hand glowing white in preparation, as he followed the group. It was best to be prepared at a moment's notice. OOC: I'm a little lost as well, I have class you know. On top of that I have to watch a film and write a paper on it, so don't expect lightning responses today.
  8. All you're favorite characters are dead . To paraphrase (or outright quote) Yahtzee "Oh come on, this isn't a spoiler! He wouldn't characterize this many characters if he weren't going to pick them off like after-dinner mints." Such is the way of Homestuck. Yet Andrew Hussie is still my favorite webcomic/cartoon/flash game creator of all time.
  9. I used to prefer past tense first person narration, in fact I still do because it just places me and the reader on the personal level with the character. Some people think it's too intimate, not objective enough so they don't use it. However my big project is going to be third-person, even though it's somewhat uncomfortable to me. I really need to outline that story though. It's way too big too just write and hope for the best. I know screenwriters use the index card method. There's a way around this that I'm using for another story. The narrator is supposedly just suppose to be some omniscient being but it turns out in the end it was the main character telling the story from a third person point of view. Which sort of throws whether you can trust everything he just told you.
  10. Good job then, I was worried those other guys forgot their names (kidding, I remember) would have taken all the glory. Frankly I didn't want to be left out either. It was another of those teams based off something except it was the Freelancers from Red vs Blue, I thought it could be very loose and if anything the Freelancer idea was meant to be a jumping point. Though I don't necessarily recommend making characters just because. That's why Jarrik doesn't exist anymore. I'm still willing to be Rage for Spectrum, but it looks like at least only half of that team is active and by that I mean the actual RPers. Actually I wanted to be the strategic head of it, but eventually get charged for various crimes against the people he was commanding. EmperorWhenua speaks the truth, a character can start out terribly and end magnificently. I was proud of last session's characters near the end, though I'm glad that I'm actually able to use Noran this time around, the old man deserved more attention than I gave him.
  11. I think the Mary Sue test is a waste, how about you actually just let a three-dimensional character evolve? Of course beginning RPers will turn out bad characters, and not to say anyone is perfect either. I'm just irritated people actually put faith in that system. Interesting doesn't mean overpowered. Honestly I'm sicking of hearing it as writer and RPer, though it hasn't been said to me. Anyways I'll assume that my two previous ideas have been ignored either because no one wanted to, or understood what I was talking about. I'm glad I'm wresting the two mercs of getting all the info, along with those people in Le-Wahi. Shame if only one or two people knew in game.
  12. IC: Noran mulled over the words, only the most creative can unlock it. "Creative, Creative." He replied as he screwed the head of the bust back on, thinking about it. He had a possible idea, based upon something he had been told when he was a small matoran, something every matoran was told but barely paid attention to. He pocketed away the bust in a sack and wrapped it around his back. Eventually he walked back to Onewa's hut, still thinking, if Hafu was hiding this information, should he relay it to the Turaga or keep it to himself? He trusted Onewa and thought he deserved to hear what he had found, though in some ways it was very little, and there wasn't enough to back up the wisps of information he had recieved from the bust, and by that proxy, Hafu. IC: Alrin also appeared near Kalama. "Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. Just so we know who in Karz we're actually dealing with here." OOC: Sorry guys I don't have much to say for Kalama's group, anyways its technically three of us, but Kalma is reallly good at playing a group of characters and I mean really good.
  13. I liked it as well, it just seems backwards, yes it was a much simpler time. The way Homestuck fans miss the 1-3 acts. I don't want simpler though, I appreciate the the jokes, the humor, but the story has evolved beyond a simple comedy and I could see why that might turn some people away.
  14. Well I know that Church's side is important but the thing is I don't want to go back to old Red Vs. Blue, it's just boring to me. I mean I loved it at the beginning but why return to, after moving past it?
  15. IC: For a minute Noran would have growled in annoyance, but then he listened to words as he repeated what Hafu had said to him, he calmed down and began walking back to his hut, waving goodbye to the matoran, as he mulled over the words Hafu had said to him. "Make sure you look it over very carefully, taking in every detail, inspecting the work to the best of your ability; if you find anything wrong, return it for a full refund." He walked away, thinking on everything Hafu had said to him, eventually in a shortwhile he returned to his hut. He sat down at the table and began inspecting Hafu's bust of him. It was impeccable, but something, he couldn't quite place his finger on it. He looked under the bust, on top of it and rotate it around. He took in every angle, Hafu had implied something was special about the bust he had just carved, now Noran had to see why. After awhile he found himself at his wits' end. What was so special about it, what had he been missing? OOC: Thanks for the tip.
  16. IC: "Well I've been thinkin' about a lota' of things and these things been worryin' me." He muttered. "I've talked ta Turaga Onewa about it. Ah, I can't do this anymore." He growled, he hated beating around the bush. "I was wondering when ya'd seen that matoran last, ya know ya friend Takua?" Noran was sick of being dishonest with Hafu, trying act like he was here on business that he was really not here for. Sure the Turaga said he'd have to work with others, but it didn't mean all the people looking for information weren't exactly good and that worried him, we all least that's what he guessed. Who knew if there was spies about? OOC: I find myself wanting to write the non-dialogue in Noran's slang as well. I feel if he kept beating around the business I'd be keeping him out of character, and I can't do that for obvious reasons.
  17. IC: "Of course I've come ta see ya about that." Noran grinned. "I've come ta see ya about somethin' else, too. Though, that can wait though if ya really want ta make tha' bust." Honestly he liked the matoran who's ego occasionally got the best of him. He was one of the best carvers, in fact he probably was the best carver. Originally Noran never wanted the bust, cause he thought it would only inflate his own ego. On top of that, Hafu had been occasionally selling carvings of other beings, which he frowned upon for a variety of reasons.
  18. IC: Alrin sighed, there was not much to do, except stand around and wait. He hated waiting, Scurra especially hated waiting and that worried him as well. The two young Toa seemed to be enjoying each others company and the rest of the Marines were still talking amongst each other or following their orders and completing their duties. He twirled his knife around his hand impatiently.
  19. IC: "Goodbye and thank ya Turaga." The Turaga was right, Hafu wasn't actually hiding, he just had to go visit him at his shop, he felt quite stupid for that. After a short while of walking, he eventually happened upon the matoran, who seemed busy at away at his shop. He waited a few second, still feeling stupid for wasting so much time. "So Hafu, how goes yer carving?" He asked, he might have wanted to ask the matoran about what he knew, but even he wasn't dumb enough as in being too direct about it. If push came to shove he'd be as friendly as possible but stress the importance of the information, that he needed to divulge.
  20. IC: Valria nodded, if she tried to force the memories only bad would come out of it. So she followed Agni in another direction, as she relaxed something else came back, it was more vivid this time, much more like a vision.Three Toa were walking, all three were young Toa, though one seemed to have a more serious gait than the others, he was a Toa of Earth. Another seemed to be shaking the hands, and messing around in a friendly way with the matoran. The third was a Toa of Gravity, and she seemed to be enjoying The Toa of Ice's behavior. Eventually he stopped and wrapped his arms around the two."Come on you two, we're Toa now. I know we have to work to do, but we can bask in the glory." He grinned."Stop touching me Alrin, and no I won't we have even got the team together. We still need to visit Po-Koro and Ga-Koro and then loop back around to the other Koros, we still haven't checked this Koro out completely." Mervik growled. "Aren't Toa of Ice, usually brooding and quiet?""What do you think Valria, think the Toa of Green should lighten up?" Alrin chuckled."Maybe." She smirked."You love being coy don't you." The two male Toa replied."Who said I was being coy?" She grinned, the vision then dissipated. It took Valria awhile to snap back to reality."I-I was on team, w-we wh-where l-looking for members." She stuttered out. She was starting to get very tired again, and these flood of memories weren't actually helping her weakened state.
  21. IC: Alrin sighed, as the moved towards Po-Wahi waters. It seems they were getting closer to their quarry. OOC: Filler post, just so I can say my character are moved to: Alrin to Po-Wahi.
  22. IC: "Thank ya fer yer permission and the kind compliments ya been paying to me." He nodded as he was about to leave, he had one final question for the Turaga. "Have ya heard've of anybody seein' Hafu around. I 'sume he'd not be hard t' find." All the Toa would need one just a lead, a small one and then he'd been off to complete his destiny, at least that's what he thought now, thanks to Onewa. Noran wasn't a sycophant, he said things as they were and the Turaga was a good elder, and judging upon how Toa worked, he was probably one of the best Toa, but Noran didn't speculate much, it didn't do him any good, and it didn't do his people good. If he survived this quest and became a Turaga good, if he died on it, well at least hew would be doing his part. OOC: I'd thought you'd get sick of it. I thought that asking nicely may fair better, especially Onewa seems like pride could get to him at times.
  23. IC: At first she saw and heard nothing, she still heard the hustle and bustle but as she looked over the vendors, something sound like it was in the distance."Valria...Valria...Valria come on!" A voice yelled."You know Mervik is going to be angry that your wasting time." The voice was somewhat serious, but was sort bubbly and definitely female. Was that her?"Oh come on Valria just because we're Toa doesn't mean we deserve a break once in a while. You'd think Toa of Earth would understand that.""Alrin he's angry cause you're not taking this seriously, not even being a Toa.""Listen if wasn't such a Scurra, I'd probably go insane."Then the voices seemed to fade away. Valria looked back at Agni."I-I was here before. It was me...and a Toa called Alrin I think. Just v-voices though." She replied, straining to understand that there almost two different Valrias one in the past, and her. Her face contorted in frustration, she wasn't sure she'd exactly like the idea of sleep again. Yet last time it have given her a name and even now she was remembering the place.OOC: Scurra being latin for Joker, at least that's what google translate said. Oh cruel irony for Alrin.
  24. IC: I kill people, kidding, I don't know. I mean I used to work with others on a team...but that's in the past." Alrin sighed, he'd rather not think of his old Toa team. Doing so drew out so many bad memories and the last thing he needed to do was give himself fuel for letting Scurra out and on the loose. "I don't do much now, except wander I guess, so I'm like a lot of people on this island, pieces of driftwood floating on the current. OOC: Sorry for not responding sooner, was busy trying to start a charcoal grill for steak.
