You know what I just realized? People always complain that Horatio has really awful puns... but Grissom has as many as H does >>. And his are usually worse. What's up with that?

Well, I meant to blog about this last night, but forgot (it was late anyway). My family and I went to see Pixar's UP last evening with some friends of ours. The movie was extremely unique, creative, fun, and I really enjoyed it quite a bit! Definitely worth going to see and even owning if you enjoy good quality plots and animated comedies that are family friendly. There were very few characters, but I never found myself getting bored with them. They were all so different, but Pixar did an amazing job making them all work together for the story. The whole plot was far fetched, true, but with animated films you've just got to suspend logic for a while. The only truly weird part was when the doggies flew the planes... it was funny though. I think one of the greatest strengths of the movie is that it can appeal to a very wide range of ages. Not only does it cater to the kiddos, but it was something that the adults could truly enjoy as well. Very well done. Not to mention that the animation and 3D was Amazing. I was expecting the 3D would be through those little blue/red glasses, and would thus distort the colors. But nope. The glasses affected the color none what-so-ever (they were clear, I still have yet to figure out how they worked), and the 3D effect worked perfectly. I'm excited that this is becoming the new standard for animated movies. So, what's my take on this movie? In case you haven't guessed, I'd give it a 5/5 star rating. If you like this sort of movie, I'd highly recommend it! Also yay Toy Story 3!

So, my dad and I went to see Star Trek today; and I've gotta say: I enjoyed it quite a bit! I don't have alot of time here, but I will say that if you like complicated plots, futuristic spaceships and blast fights, as well as blackholes and time warps, you'll love this movie! The story was pretty neat, and the action was superb. There were quite a few intense on-the-edge-of-your-seat moments (even though I wasn't on the edge of my seat, lol) I won't even try to explain the plot line to you; it would take up a bit of space (lol) The only part I didn't like was one adult-themed scene near the beginning, but I just slipped my ball cap down over my face and it was fine. Besides that one scene, the whole movie was spectacular, and if it hadn't been for a slightly crummy speaker in the theater it would have been a near perfect movie experience. Ah well. I would probably give it a 8 out of 10 rating. Definitely worth watching again! Oh, and I haven't seen any of the original movies, so I didn't have them to compare it too...

Amen to that! And tomorrow I'll finally get to watch it.

Then I'll put that flea in a box. Then I'll put that box in another box. Then I'll mail that box to myself. And when it arrives... I'LL SMASH IT WITH A HAMMER!

It's funny how Sailor Moon makes Tokyo seem like such a small town. Serena/Usagi can always find Darien/Mamoru or her friends when she wants to.

Uss Enterprise, Ncc-1701, No Bloody A, B, C, Or D.
Angel Beat posted a blog entry in Star Blogging across the universe
The new USS Enterprise from the new Star Trek film has been unveiled. At first I was like, "whaat??", but now... I guess I kinda like it. -
Stop lying. Your Olympics are not live. Unless Canada manages to predict exactly what is going to happen, and constructs an impossibly realistic CGI rendering of said event, and airs it before you do.

Saw it. It was pretty good. I'll spoiler my thoughts in case anybody wants to still see it. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «It was pretty good. The first half of the movie was a bit slow, probably due to character development. It was nice seeing more of Manning, even though he's not the best guy around. Jeffery Tambor is a great actor though. Very funny. It was also great to see some development with Abe, he was so minor in the first movie, to see him really open up in this one was good. Though the fact that they abandon his breathing apparatus after the first five minutes of the movie irked me a bit. The prince and the princess were good cast members, though Luke Goss doesn't have the best voice for it. Definitely provided a wonderful creepy look though. I'm not a fan of Krauss, though. He didn't provide much in the way of comedic relief, and wasn't a good antagonist either. Just an annoyance. His only real character started to come through at the most inopportunistic moments, and had a change of heart far too quickly. Plus, his suit made no sense. The second half of the movie was great. The fight scene with the prince (the first one) was wonderfully coreographed, and the organic weapon of his was pretty cool. The meeting with the Angel of Death was a great scene, and definitely opened up for a sequel. The Golden Army was much cooler than it appeared in the trailers, too. Overall, it was a good movie, though Krauss definitely dragged it down a lot. Still good, with great performances as well as awesome action scenes.

The "Clone Wars" animation looks absolutely dreadful.

Okay, so I saw the Dark Night tonight, at Imax. And I think it turns out I have vertigo--all those rooftop shots, y'know? So the effects were nice, what with all the explosions, things breaking, buildings falling apart or losing chunks out of them. I think more glass broke than there were people the theater... But anyway, the fight scenes were also awesome. I was amused at the point where Joker first faced Batman. Ultimately, I was just glad to see him get knocked down a peg. REJECTION. For all the stuff I've heard about the lack of humor, I found parts of it funny. I guess it was the irony really. It wasn't comedic relief, but it wasn't like there was nothing to laugh at. For those who've seen the movie, one particular costume of Joker's was hilarious. Very dark, though, but I'm not complaining. Ledger did a very nice job, and so did Bale, though I was more impressed with the former. I'm not gonna rant about acting, though; anyone who cares has probably read a review. The point being, it was worth the two and a half hours.

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor appears to be an interesting film, judging from the trailer I just saw on tv. I think I'll be seeing it when I return from Germany. If everything goes as planned, I'll be seeing The Dark Knight next weekend. I can't wait.
